Great Shrimp and grits… hush puppies could’ve been hotter…. Salad was meh.I did add a small scoop of the shrimp salad to my salad, and that made it OK tasting. I did enjoy the shrimp salad. They are nice enough to add it on without adding on an additional cost. They did not have oysters. The espresso Martini was very good flavor and they did not skimp out on the alcohol that’s for sure

Don't sleep on this place! They have amazing views of the sunset, the outdoor seating is great. Its definitely a hidden gem! 💎I ordered their chicken philly sandwich w/fries. They had a good local beer selection. The service was good both @ the bar and at the table.The homemade peanut butter pie is TO DIE FOR...so much so that my friend & I returned another day just to order it to go to scarf down @ out hotel!I recommend this place for drinks, dinner & sunset views!

Very cozy seafood restaurant with friendly staff. Our waitress was quick to get our drink and food orders. Our crab soup and salad was brought out promptly. Both were good. We also ordered the fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw, as well as, grilled shrimp and fried oysters with cheese grits and red potatoes. The fried and grilled shrimp were fresh and good. The oysters were perfectly prepared. The red potatoes seemed to have been cooked earlier and reheated making them hard to cut and without taste. The cheese grits were just ok, kind of stiff, needing more liquid to loosen them up. The coleslaw needed more mayonnaise. (But that is just a personal preference.) The French fries were hot and crispy-so good! And the sweet tea was the perfect example of what Southern Sweet Tea should look and taste like. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal. We would like to return and try other menu items.Parking: Get there early, so you can find parking close to the restaurant.

Let me start by saying the food was super delicious and decently priced. The service on the other hand was horrendous, our drinks arrived after our appetizers and entres, a few parts of our orders were missing, stuff was being dropped and spilled, the other patrons around us were complaining very loudly and as bad as our service was, others had it much worse. The waitress was apologetic but giving us excuses when we rarely saw her. The host told us our wait would be 15 minutes but we waited an hour just to be seated. Keep in mind we came during the off season which I think warranted the two stars, I don’t even want to know what it is like here during the summer.Vegetarian options: Very few options, salad is the only vegetarian optionDietary restrictions: Staff did not ask about dietary restrictionsParking: Very small parking area made of dirt and some stones, limited spaceKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, kids menuWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get up to the restaurant but the parking lot and waiting areas are unpaved and the ground is uneven

Had a wonderful sunset dinner at Zachry’s. The blackened Mahi was delicious, a large portion and really nicely spiced. Amazing hush puppies. Zachry’s is very casual and cozy. Our server was definitely busy but very friendly. There are stunning sunset views over the marsh. We weren’t willing to wait for an outside table but enjoyed our meal in the “sunroom” area. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Zachry’s Riverhouse is most likely the best restaurant on the entirety of Jekyll Island. The food served here is among the best I have had throughout the entirety of 2023. I ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and the fried shrimp platter with fries and cheese grits as the sides. The cheese grits are absolutely superb, the best I’ve had on the island. The same can also be said about the fries, nowhere on Jekyll does fries better than Zachry’s. The fried shrimp is simply amazing, and it isn’t loaded with salt like many other places on Jekyll do with their shrimp.I sat on the outside section of the restaurant at a barstool overlooking the Jekyll Island Marina. The view of the water is phenomenal, and you even get to see the shrimping boats on the docks.The service is likewise fantastic. I had a very minimal wait time, although I did go there around 3:45 P.M. My server was Ms. Connor, and she was very helpful the entire time. Anything I needed, she would bring to me within just a minute or so.Overall my entire experience was absolutely superb. The only possible complaint that I could have is that the shrimp could use slightly more seasoning, but that issue pales in comparison to the phenomenal time I had here. I will definitely come here more in the future, and I urge anybody who is thinking of trying Zachry’s to come here as soon as they can.

Inside seating after waiting for outside seating for 1.5 hrs hamburger was small and the cook forgot the lettuce tomato pickles and onions( naked) the waitress couldn't believe it oh yea the French fries a very small order was cold .It was almost like a child's meal . Wife's shrimp was good and hot but small. So we will be exploring other dinner options. Just my experience hopefully yalls will be better

Excellent location but a victim of its own success. As had wait +30 mins and servers running around looking too busy. Effect on the clients.Still very good food and value for money. Just rather frantic and staff equally so.

Visiting Jekyll Island for the first time and this establishment was recommended to us through a few of the locals.For drinks we enjoyed a strawberry pale ale and a spicy bloody Mary... We ordered the grilled shrimp with two sides and an order of the shrimp and grits.Both meals were so delicious...sorry but i forgot to get pics --- there was no way once the food came out that I was going to stop and take a picture of it. It looked too great and smelled fantastic and I was just ready to chow.Everyone we spoke to from the staff to the other patrons simply added to the great experience that we had!! This establishment will definitely be on the top of our list when we return to Jekyll Island!! And maybe next time ill get pics of the food!😆

The wild Georgia shrimp was great. We got it blackened. The hush puppies were magnificent as were the fries. Skip the Cole slaw and deserts. I had a drink called the coco naranja and it might just be the best drink I have ever had. Beautiful view of the water if you sit outside.

Ordered food to go after completing the dolphin tour. Captain Pablo highly recommended this place and he was totally right.We tried an array of food. The shrimp was amazing and the crab cakes were the best I have had in a long time. The crab stew lacked flavor which we weren’t expecting, but the contents were chunky which was nice. We would opt for a cup instead of a bowl next time. Whoever is cooking the green beans knows what they’re doing. We will gladly return the next time we are in town!

Mahi sandwich wow! French fries - a batter coated most delicious fries I've ever had, make sure you try them. Great friendly service and wonderful views of the intracoastal river.Editing this! The Key lime pie is not as good as the pie down in the Keys of Florida. The peanut butter is better than expected. I was hoping for as good of Key lime pie. Good color, just not tangy lime enough.Parking: Easy, flat except for stairs.

Food was okay. Asian salad side was not good. Service was poor. I sat for a while before I was attended to, meanwhile people who came after me got served first. I have my theory about this but I will keep it to myself. The drink was good but must have sat out for a bit..the glass was sweaty and missing areas of salt rim. My water came finally after I finished my meal.. when I initially asked for it.. the lady rolled her eyes

Alot waiting. Arrived, ordered fairly quickly, and got our first drink but ghosted for a good 45 minutes without refills or are appetizers. When the appetizers did arrive, they were ok and luke warm. Than waited even more time for our main course, which was mediocre but 1 granted plus to this place it has to be the cheapest place on the island for food and drinks so if you have alot Patience its a ok restaurant

Great experience at Zachry’s Riverhouse.Drinks (Old Fashioned) was well made.Apps were absolutely fantastic. We ordered both Crab Cakes and Tuna. I could’ve ate 3 orders of the crab cakes as my all and entree and been satisfied. I would 100% come back even for the Crab Cakes.Georgia Shrimp baskets were really good. Hush puppies were delicious.Overall very impressed with the this restaurant

We did a Dolphin Cruise 5.1.24 and it was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by the one and only Capt. Pablo to try out their shrimp. If I'm not mistaken, his first mate Van concured!!OH MY!!!DELISH!!!Had the blackened Shrimp... perfect!!!Also had the Asian Coleslaw and hush puppies!!Hats off to the Chef's in preparation of our meal!! It was delicious!!!Thank you!!

We had great drinks and good dinner here. Low country boil starter, fried shrimp, and shrimp and grits entrees. Burgers and grilled cheese for the kids.All pretty good. LCB was kinda skimpy but the flavor was good.Fried shrimp cooked and seasoned well. Shrimp and grits was good but also kinda skimpy on shrimp.Our appetizer, salads, and meals all hit the table at the same time. Waiter said salads and app would be out first...Great property and views. The experience was somewhere north of a corporate seafood restaurant but similar to Harry's or Bochamps.

The atmosphere was wonderful. The drinks were ok and the food was not that great. We had shrimp and grits and Sword fish. The grits were hard and only 6 small shrimp with it, the 'gravy' on top of the grits had no flavor.The view was absolutely gorgeous.

Great hidden gem at the marina on Jekyll Island near the causeway bridge. Nice atmosphere overlooking the marina, and a swimming pool and hot tub for patrons and marina owners.Food was all delicious, drinks were well made with good happy hour specials. I was also impressed with the amount of wait staff, speed of the kitchen, and friendliness of the bussing crew: I know retention is hard for restaurant owners, and the owners seem to be doing a good job here.My only complaint is the portion size on dinners is a bit small, but that just means more room for the yummy homemade desserts.Recommended, we'll be visiting every time we're on the Island.

Great experience here and the bar keep was friendly and engaged. Did the 2 minute follow-up on my great lightly breaded, deep fried Dolphin Sandwich. Must pair with the fries. A good IPA and an even better double IPA on tap. The ambiance has a nice vibe. Scored a cool t-shirt too.
