I rented Atlantic Breeze #4. It was very clean and as described. There was only one small issue and the folks at Jeckyll Realty took care of it within a couple of hours. This place is only steps from a great beach access and right on the bike trail. Thank you Jeckyll Realty for making my month long stay very enjoyable.

Jekyll reality staff was not honest when asked direct questions about the water quality around the island before we booked and before are last payment was made. If anyone had been honest we would not have waisted a week’s vacation, time and money. We have been visiting Jekyll Island twice a year from 2006-2019 so we are aware of the brackish waters. Jekyll used to be our favorite place to visit but our last visit after one hurricane and a sunken ship with thousands of cars on board happened we noticed a change in the water around the island for the worse. We stayed away from the island for several years then we heard the ship had finally been removed so we decided to call Jekyll Reality and ask about the water quality and if the water was still dirty looking and muddy. We were told everything was good and to go ahead and book so we did then in July when our final cottage payment was due I asked again. I told them we were used to the brackish water not a problem but did not want to deal with the dirty muddy water that we had seen back in 2019. I was told no problems and everything was back to being all good and they had also placed large rocks on the north side of the island so that everything was good again. We went 8/19 and the water was the worst we had even seen. The whitecaps were rolling in dark brown and black. No one was swimming despite the very hot weather. The water was so disgusting that we could not get in at all. I sent several emails and we left on the 22nd instead of staying until the 26th yet not one person from Jekyll realty reached out to us. I saw the review where one family was not told about closed beach access and felt they had been deceived. I am telling you that we felt 100% deceived, lied to, misled or whatever words you choose to use, but it was completely dishonest to give us false information and allow us to book a rental home when we specifically stated, the conditions that we did not want to be in again.

My wife and I rented A hidden gem for the week of 8/19/23-8/26/23. We turned our keys in and left on 8/22/23. This had nothing to do with the rental home, it was as described and what we expected, with the exception that the bath water and tap water was yellowish for two days due to work being done on the island water tower. What has been upsetting about this trip is that I made several calls inquiring about the water quality around the island and my concerns with the water being dirtier than our past visits. I was told all times that we had nothing to worry about and that everything was good so we booked this trip. When it came time to pay the 2nd part I asked again about the water quality around the island. I explained that our last trip the water was dirtier than past visits and we had to walk through mud getting in and out of the water. Again we were told the same and that there were no problems and that there had been lots of beach beautification done and that the sand was replaced so the water was no longer muddy. Once on the island we found what we were told was not the case and in fact the water was the worst it had ever been. We were unable to enjoy being in the water at all. August is one of the hottest months to visit Jekyll so to not be able to get into the water was miserable. The waves were black and dark brown with again a muddy pathway in and out of the water. We talked to other families on the beach who felt the same way and we saw none in the water for obvious reasons. We spoke with a local family in Brunswick who said the water around the island has been horribly dirty for a few years now. If anyone would’ve been honest about this matter our vacation would not have been ruined. We drove to Madeira to save what was left of our trip, and had the extra expense of a 2nd vacation home along with extra expenses with our rental car. I understand doing your jobs to book as many properties as you can but being dishonest when a direct question is asked it not right. We would not have made reservations for this week if anyone we spoke to had been honest. It is not right taking advantage of families like this.The Henry’s

Oh How Absolutely Stunning this Home is!! We stayed here once before when my Kids were in 4th and 5th grade...Now they are 21 and 22 and My Grandsons 1st time.Can we talk about the Beautiful Remolding?!!! The Kitchen Island is a Dream ....so much space for cooking and gathering.The Living room and Den are So comfy and spacious.The Screened Jeckyll Room was a Family Fave as well.We Will Be Going Back to this Home Hopefully for more years to come.

I've known the people with Jekyll Realty my whole life, they are great people. They are passionate about the island, their rentals/sales and that you have a great stay in their rentals. Don't be afraid to ask them questions, they know a ton about the island and will do what they can to help if you need it!

We have rented through JIR almost every time we have come here and have never been disappointed. One time we had an issue and they were very quick to take care of it. I recommend using them for your Jekyll vacation rentals!

We just got back home from our family trip to Jekyll and we had nothing but good experiences with Jekyll Realty. Everyone I spoke to from before I even booked and had a million questions to the moment I turned in the keys at departure was friendly, accommodating, and went above an beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I couldn’t recommend them more. I was leery with some of the negative reviews but I’m glad I chose to book with them and we hope to next year as well. We arrived later than we had hoped so we called and said we couldn’t make it before they closed their office. They left the lights on, door unlocked, keys on the table, and a welcome bag when we arrived to the home. I had specific requests about no fragrances in the home and they accommodated it perfectly and asked if everything was alright when we got there. We had an issue with the A/C going out and called the after hours number around 6pm. They had someone out there within an hour and it was fixed in just a few minutes! Thanks Jekyll Realty for going the extra mile to make our stay great!

The property is great. We we attracted to the close walk to beach access. The access has been closed for a year. The company said they did not know. They are either lying or not on top of the job, not acceptable.

My family and I love these guys and gals! We have been visiting Jekyll Island for over 30 years. The Jekyll Realty staff have always been kind and accommodating! Anthony and Alex in the office are just great, and Tom in maintenance is a real gem. Thank you all for treating us so well every year!

The first house we had was terrible. Called Jekyll Realty and spoke with Connie. She said she would speak with her Manager and call me back. Anita, the manager called. She couldn't have been nicer. She gave us 4 options to look at. We picked a very nice house and thrilled to be here. We certainly appreciate the ladies taking care of us!

We stayed at Happy Days, which was even better than the pictures. We were worried about arriving in time to pick up the keys, so they had lights on for us and the keys at the property. The house was clean, and there was a ton of beach supplies for us to use. We will be returning!

Had a good experience with them. We booked through Vrbo. House was nice, felt like we was at grandmas house haha. Clean, and spacious. We had to go general house cleaning before we left, (wash dishes, take out trash, etc..) before we turned the keys in. Overall it was a nice time.

Upon arrival ( june 2021)the house was very dirty: (pubic ?) hairs on the bathroom counter, pillows were old and stained, moldy Christmas cookies in the cupboard, moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker. Dirty clothes in the sofa sleepers. If you walked in the home barefooted, the bottoms of your feet were black. It HAD NOT been swept or mopped prior to our arrival. Mattresses in lower level were unacceptable: smelly and honestly just needed trashed. All this after their claims of a strict covid cleaning regiment. Had to purchase 3 air mattresses plus pillows and blankets bc of this. The railing on the upper deck is extremely unstable, and when leant on, it just starts moving forward... let's hope this gets fixed before some unsuspecting renter falls off of there and gets hurt. Fair warning to all who rent this place lol. The downstairs bathroom near to the bedrooms- the shower is yukky the floor has separated from the wall. I have never written a " bad " review like this before. But i wish id known all this before id rented this place so this is for all you out there: it's NOT good. We complained and they refunded us 189 dollars. Please. I spent more than that, buying mattresses pillows blankets and more, to make my stay clean and semi comfortable . I also question their claim that the house has an ocean view: perhaps you can see a speck of the ocean thru the trees from the upper deck. But view at your own risk and don't lean on the railing up there lol

We have rented properties through Jekyll for close to 10 years and we are very happy with the quality of the service, the properties and the staff.We have never had any major issues with the properties we have rented and both times we had minor issues (Poor Wi-Fi in an apartment and a burned out fridge light in another) they were fixed quickly.Jekyll Realty will continue to be our place for rentals and we are happy to recommend them.Ricardo & Carmela MataCharlotte, NC.

It was horrible the place did not look anything like the website. They were very rude about it and we told them before getting the house what we needed and was Assured this was the perfect house. It was nasty !!! Please look up sand dollar house and see their pictures compared to the ones I am adding. I was told in and email that my expectations was just too much. So I guess getting what you paid for in pictures is just to much. My pictures keep disappearing 😡We did not decline to move a stated below we were told they were full and no other house was available. Please do look at the other reviews it say the stovetop was not working so they knew and still did not fix it.

We rented a house from Jeckyll Island and the House was filthy. In short Realty company has to learn customer service and manage their properties much better. I will never rent from them again and wish I knew who the owner of the house was to contact them directly about the condition of the rental.

Renting from them for years. Always professionals and top notch. I've read complaints about them not renting for shorter stays... They will help you connect with the house owner and work it out. That's up to the house owner, not Jekyll Realty.

Skip the air B&B and go with these guys who have long term relationships with the owners. Pictures are accurate. Nice to have someone to communicate with if you have a problem with the house or you lost the key.

The house we stayed at was smoky, and didn't have many working utilities. When I told a man at check out, he was so rude, not apologetic at all. Don't stay here, bad customer service.

If I was an owner of a vacation rental property and someone wanted to rent for 4 nights instead of 7 one week before arrival I would take the rental. And I would think the owners would rather have 800.00 dollars vs nothing for an empty week.........But JIR doesn't see it that way.....10 condos available next week but JIR wants to charge for entire week.........who would do this?
