This is a great kid friendly beach. There are bathroom facilities and showers very nearby with very clean boardwalks leading to and from them. The surf is usually pretty gentle here unless there is a storm coming so it is the perfect beach to play with small children. It's not usually too crowded, especially if you go during the weekday or while school is in session. This is one of our favorite stops! There are also picnic tables available!

My family had such a wonderful time at Jekyll Island. It was not all great, but the focus of this review is Oceanview Beach. I went on an early morning walk on the beach and it was so good for my soul. Plus the views were amazing. This beach is the closest to all the central activity and such a nice place to kick back and relax.

An early morning stroll to catch the sunrise. Enjoy your coffee, tea, etc. with spectacular sights and sounds. If you love coastal and beach settings, memories of this space will probably linger long after your holiday is over.

A great free spot to park and enjoy the beach! The bathrooms have changing rooms inside and have AC!I spent a couple hours here today with my wife & mother-in-law and had a great time! The beach had very little people on it and at low tide. I could walk a good distance into the water and it was only up to my waist.I want to make sure it’s high tide or the tide is coming in next time so I can boogie board some.

My wife and I love this beach. It has great facilities and is very easy to get onto the beach.Restrooms: Always clean and they also have changing rooms in the restrooms. It's is air-conditioned in the summer which is nice when you are trying to change.

Beautiful beaches for being on the east coast. It is 8.00 per day to be on the island. Very nice small town that you feel safe. Would love to go back.

Excellent beach. Easy access, very clean, sand is hard so makes it very easy for wagons and strollers. Outdoor showers and changing rooms .Restrooms: Very clean and convenient to the beach.

Stunning beach! Can walk forever along beach looking for shells. Lots of sand dollars. Beautiful sunrise. Nice parking and facilities. Will definitely go back.

Peaceful, not crowded, laid back.More of a river water color, but told its clean. Nice bathroom and changing rooms and shower wash station. Plenty of parking.

It's a great beach. It was 4th of July weekend on a Saturday morning when we showed up around 9 30. Parking was plentiful, we parked right at the ramp for beach access. It wasn't crowded at all, it was an outgoing tide so it was very calm. Just a perfect beach trip. Much less crowded than Jacksonville's beaches. 10$ admission per vehicle to get on Jekyll Island. I definitely recommend this beach if you're trying to avoid crowds.

We loved Jekyll island! So peaceful and quiet. Very family friendly and low key. One of the few beaches I've seen where dogs are allowed! Driftwood Beach was awesome. My kids loved climbing and exploring on the trees.

This beach is perfection. The parking lot is large with showers and clean bathrooms. The boardwalks are well maintained and the beach is wide and beautiful.

Unlike Driftwood Beach, Oceanview is a lot more pristine and the beach continues for a long while. Flat, hardpacked sand are easy for walking or sitting. The beach has a large parking lot that even includes EV charging stations as well as a building with restrooms, bike racks, and picnic shelters with grills.The park is well built up and ready to host lots of people. Paved parking, handicapped ramps, trash cans and even showers to get the sand off your kids before you load them back up into the car. It is located on the east side of the island and as it says in the name, it has a view of the ocean. There are no barrier islands beyond here - it's direct exposure to the Atlantic and it's beautiful. Expect strong winds and be aware of riptides.Access to the island isn't free - you need to pay an $8 "parking fee" at the bridge.

Our adult kids took my husband and I for some vacation Time. We love it! It is a very nice place to go and spend some relaxing time. It was amazing.Restrooms: They have several restrooms and showers along the beach. Enough parking space.Dog-friendliness: I saw several people with their dogs. As always you need to pick up after you dog.

Definately will return. We were driving by and made a quick stop for a few hours and walked the beach. There was a fee to enter the island.
