This was a very cool place. The museum had several interactive storyboards. The hospital was opened to the public and they give talks about all the patients. Also, the gift shop had great items. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful that this place exists and is able to rescue so many sea turtles, and nurse them back to health. Fantastic volunteers who are super knowledgeable and also very friendly. The center is not very large, but it does offer all the information you could want about sea turtles as well as the challenges they face out in the ocean, and is definitely worth a visit.

This was a little difficult to navigate to so make sure to use GPS. Very little cell service. The museum is a little small but the rehabilitation center is worth it all. Friendly staff and very educational. I spent 2 hours just in the rehab center talking with the volunteers and learning about the turtles they have now.

I enjoyed my visit here but do feel it could do a little more to engage visitors/increase the experience.Your visit is mostly self guided although someone does speak about the turtles for about 15 minutes inside the rehab. The indoor exhibit has some turtle facts and also a viewing area into the hospital room; they were cleaning a little guys flipper who had recently been brought injured. The rehab area had a number of pools with turtles inside. Some of the turtles had to be viewed by looking at a mirror and you are a distance away from the turtles so it is kind if hard to see them. Our visit lasted 30 minutes and that was with us really taking our time- our ticketed time slot was 9a-10a. I thought there would have been more of a presentation/tour. I wouldn't personally go out of your way for this visit.

This place was great, not at all what I expected. I was hoping it was a place that had more interaction with the turtles and closer. The information was great and being able to see and hear about saving the turtles and what all they do to help was great.

Kind of disappointed with the center because the exhibits are mostly reading and lift-the-flaps rather than truly interactive. The rehabilitation area was interesting, however, and we were able to see a few sea turtles swimming in their little “hospital rooms.” The gift shop was nice.

My children and I loved visiting the turtle center. Anna was wonderful, explaining to us all about the rescued turtles and doing a great demo of what they eat. We loved it and hope to return on our next visit.

This is a great place to come see. It is a little small but nice. It is about a hour to two hours to do the whole this. There is three rooms. The gift shop, the information center and the turtle rehab tubs. Lots of information. Do not expect an Aquarium. You will be disappointed. Expect a small facility.

This is a cute little sea turtle center. It is smaller and you don’t need a ton of time to see it all-maybe an hour at max if you read everything. But lots of turtles they rescue and it’s a great facility to visit and donate to so more turtles can be rescued!

The turtles were fun to see and the center had docents who were giving little tidbits of info. The center didn’t really have any interactive aspects, especially for kids, mostly lift a flap or read large paragraphs. It could be better.

Kids loved it along with the parents too!We spent about an hour and a half enjoying all the information and seeing dozens of turtles. When going inside you walk into the gift shop then head into exhibit. There is a path that leads outside to the hospital which was informative. There is information beside each turtle with their name and the reason for their stay.We got to see baby turtles that had hatched a week or two prior to our visit!

I am so happy I brought my kids to visit! I used to drive down while stationed at Fort Stewart (it was much quieter 20 years ago), but sharing this experience with them will be a flashbulb memory. The Staff is patient and kind, plus incredibly knowledgeable.

Really nice place great for young kids to see a lot of sea turtles up close. They have a great set of guilds that tell you about all the turtles in the rehab area and had viewing window of surgery. They have gators there as well.

This place is so cute and wonderful. We got to watch vets work on baby turtles, see tons of rehabilitation on sea turtles and some baby box turtles, and even play a few games inside. The gift shop is really lovely too!! Well worth the visit if you’re on Jekyll Island.

We visited the Sea Turtle Center for the first time. If you pay online admission is a little bit cheaper. When you enter you are in a gift shop. Once you go past the gift shop you enter an exhibit. It’s informative and interactive. Then you head outside and walk a short path to the turtle hospital. Each water tank displays the turtles name. They also have a patient sheet that tells you the type of turtle and the reason for being in the hospital. It took us under a hour to tour the facility.

Wonderful place! The staff is nice and informative. The information shows are great and get the audience involved. It was crowded but everyone got along and you were able to do all the hands on things in the museum area. The turtle hospital itself is great and they keep it well maintained and clean.

This place was awesome! Plenty to read and very engaging staff. Spent 1.5 hours here and while it's small, there's plenty to read and your money is going towards a great cause. We even were lucky enough to catch a turtle feeding.

Horrible! Don't waste your time and money! So disappointing! 4 or 5 little pools with turtles. One inwitch you could only see in a mirror. Several pools were empty. The outside area was a cage that had nothing in it. We were told had box turtles. My grandson was ready to go with in 2 minutes and so were we. It's way over priced to see nothing!

This place is great. They are doing good work and working to educate while they are doing it. A visit to the hospital is worth the price of admission. An interactive room for the kids is a bonus. Gift shop is cool... Look up when you are there.

It's a hospital to rehabilitate sea turtles. There is fun informative activities for kids. It's not massive but it feels like you are supporting a neat cause. If there aren't turtles it's good and bad. It's good that there aren't any that need medical attention but you won't get to see any. The staff was super nice and could answer all of our questions.

I've been wanting to go here for a long time and really enjoyed our visit. As you walk in there's a huge store with a large selection of Georgia Sea Turtle Center merchandise. After the store is a nice exhibit with lots of information about sea turtles and rehabilitation. You can walk outside and visit the area where the sick and injured turtles are being cared for. We attended "Meet the Patients", which was a 20-minute talk about the different patients in the tanks. It's a very nice facility and they do amazing work here. A must visit when on Jekyll Island.

There is not much to see or do. Essentially some large pools with a turtle or two in each. The “hospital”( it’s a window into a room) area didn’t have anything going on when we were there. Not much interactive aspects for young kids who can’t read well yet. For the price, you don’t get your monies worth in my opinion. I do believe that a portion of ticket sales goes towards turtle rehab so that is good. If I had known how it was set up and how little there was we wouldn’t have gone.

My daughter LOVES turtles so this was a fun and inexpensive outing. I was expecting it to be bigger, but it was still worth it. We got there earlier in the morning so there weren't many there until the afternoon. The employees were so helpful, answered many questions, and were very friendly! We also happened to be there in time to have a 30 minute presentation about each turtle there in the hospital area and what they're doing to help them. It was a little long for my 5 year old, but it was very interesting. They're doing great things for sea turtles and other animals too! We were also able to see them perform surgery on a rattle snake that needed it's tracking transmitter changed. I recommend this to anyone!
