On vacation we stopped by to get the kids some food and ice cream. The food came out pretty quick, the ice cream after 30 min never came. By then those with food had eaten and were ready to go home. The kids waiting on ice cream were restless. I went to the counter to inquire and was told it would be out shortly. I realized after waiting a bit longer that they were serving others who had been significantly behind us in line. The cashier ended up holding up the line for a moment and went back to the kitchen to make our order because he know at this point we had been waiting for nearly an hour and that we had inquired several times on the status of our order and nobody was making it. Very disappointing service. We did not go back the rest of our trip and will never return.

I used to work for a Dairy Queen and if we were caught doing any of this stuff or had any issues we were fired on the spot. Our staff was ALWAYS clean and sanitary. Good was always fresh. So here it goes ..... Our fries tasted like shrimp 🤢 and you can tell that they are not fresh (very stale and cold and hard). Plus the counter our drinks were served on was covered in crumbs and food of some sort so it was all over the bottom of our drinks. All of the blizzards were NOT served upside down (because they were melted, as seen in photos). Also, my country gravy for my chicken strips had a brown color to it and it almost tasted a tad burnt? Guy that took my order, touched his computer and my card, went straight back to prep our order... WITHOUT GLOVES OR WASHING HANDS!!! 🤮He also had chocolate syrup hanging from his bottom lip when taking my order. This made me want to puke. I honestly don't know where he was eating that chocolate syrup from or how. AND... he had his headphones on and a black Hollister jacket with white flaky looking stuff all over the front. I'm sorry but I'm just being honest here. It's absolutely DISGUSTING, nasty, filthy, just plain GROSS!!! Please try harder

My recent visit to Dairy Queen left much to be desired. Despite previous encounters with issues like cash-only registers, this particular location reached a new low by being completely out of ice cream. It's baffling how a quintessential ice cream shop could run out of its main product. It begs the question of how effectively the store is managed. The frustration of encountering such a fundamental problem is understandable, and it's disappointing that the experience fell short once again. In situations like this, one can't help but question the viability of the establishment.

If there was an option to leave zero stars to make a comment this would be it. Absolutely Terrible!!! On a night of an event (Christmas Tree Lighting) this restaurant is undermanned! One person taking orders and working the register. The other is preparing the food and walking orders out to customers. When the cashier gets a chance she goes and assist the only other person who is preparing the meals. No disrespect to the two workers, they did what they could with what they had. This negative review falls directly on MANAGEMENT!! Management has failed the employees and especially their customers! Absolutely ridiculous! The restaurant is dirty! Tables aren't cleared, utensils and napkins are missing. There is no one clearing/cleaning tables, assisting with orders, etc. Management has got to do better if this chain is to survive.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They were very rude and I ordered a side salad for 3.99 and there was very little edible lettuce. The website said open until 10 but they closed at 9. The girl heard me tell my kids after they eat we would get ice cream they closed 5 minutes later, she could have told me they were closing so I could order. It took 30+ mins to get 2 burgers, a salad and pretzel sticks.

Cut them some slack on the slow service or mistakes that may occur, they unfortunately have to deal with staff issues because of the location being way out on the island. Blizzards were solid and perfectly consistency. Employees were friendly despite being a bit busy on a Wednesday night.Also keep in mind they cut off ordering about 20/30 mins before closing so they can get everyone their food before 9pm.Updated hours now are 11am - 9pm.

I had a very pleasant experience at this location and can’t share the criticism. The online order was accurate and on time, there was no wait, staff was friendly and the food was freshly made. They also offered to store the ice cream in the fridge until we finished our burgers and fries. Another bonus is the outside seating area under old trees. Please don’t just trust the negative reviews but give them a fair chance.

This Dairy Queen is in a very convenient location in the village on jekkyl island. The treats were good and service was good. The only issue we had was that they were only accepting cash so we had to go back to the hotel then make another trip back to the dairy queen. It was all good because we were on island time. Recommend if you need a evening treat.

I would first like to say,this is the only fast food place on the island so it gets busy and stays busy, please remember the people that work there are only human. Now with that said, we went last night Jonah and Destiny were awesome. Had a super nice attitudes and were very happy to help us in making our decisions. We went there tonight and Jonah, Caleb, Alexis were super nice and had great attitudes even though that place was busy as all get out. Out of my whole trip those guys and gals were the nicest people we have met on our trip. So if you ever visit the island go see them and have a blast.

Gave this place a second chance and equally if not more disappointed. Long wait and the people working there can’t make a blizzard straight off the menu if their life depended on it. I waited over 20 minutes for one blizzard that I was overcharged for. Everyone was waiting long times for their orders. The place was overall gross and unclean. This place is a sad excuse of a DQ and they definitely take advantage of the fact they are one of very few options on the island. I’m here a month and will not be returning. Based on all the other reviews with similar tone - they just do not care at all to make changes. They’re ok with being terrible and taking advantage of tourists who are naive enough to take a chance. Went on to attempt to complete survey at the bottom of the receipt but the ‘phone number’ is xxx-xxx-xxxx - which does not work guess that’s one way to avoid corporate from getting feedback - and at this point I’m not surprised.

This is quite possibly the dirtiest food establishment I’ve ever been to. There was food crumbs and pieces all over the floor and the serving ledges. I would understand this if they had a line out the door; however, there were 4 employees standing around the cash register talking. I placed a mobile order, but if I had known about the status of the restaurant, I would’ve just walked out. This restaurant needs a manager who can get the employees trained in the customer experience and expectations. I do think they know that they are one of the only options in the area for food, and they just expect people will come there for food out of necessity. It was gross, and I hope for the sake of Jekyll Island visitors and residents a change is made soon.

Whatever they’re paying the guy making Blizzards at this frosty establishment; it isn’t enough. The experiences we had this evening can only be likened to that of a unicorn crossing a rainbow bridge concocted of sugary goodies of every reputable brand. The ratios of ice cream to accoutrements was incredibly generous, & I hope that the Dairy Queen corporate office will take heed of this review, & put this majestic creature’s face emblazoned in bronze upon the halls of this establishment. Thank you all.

I would say the owner of this restaurant is pretty happy they have the "fastfood" market cornered on Jekyll Island. Took 20 minutes to get our food after we ordered. The burgers were undercooked and cold. What's going on here?

Typical Dairy Queen. The only things I get: chili dog, strawberry sundae. Have to periodically get my fix!10/22/23 Jekyll Island. Second time here this year. Both times they were out of a lot of items on the menu.
