This was a great place to go shop and get good deals. Now you can’t tell if it’s an antique store or a museum or upper management’s personal cub house and play ground. A hoarders warehouse. The outdoor section with the man stuff is never open. All you got do is open it up we can bring it to the front to pay for it. Management spends more time changing all the living rooms around each week. Some one has lost sight of what was a good place to go. Seems one person is reason why there never enough volunteers. You got to see that it’s not being operated as it should. There is definitely a problem somewhere.

Best thrift store I’ve been too. Well organized, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a Christmas store , outside garden area and events always going on.

While I appreciate everyone’s hard work and giving of their time the new changes to the store are not constructive to much wasted space on specialized areas having the kids section blocking the checkout line which resembles a Disney ride line almost impossible to look at the jewelry…..so much wasted space and prices are getting ridiculous, this is a thrift store not a boutique. So much stuff thrown out because time spent on fluff. Also stop decorating!so much not for sale items!

Went on a Wednesday. There were guys moving furniture put front. The person in front of me was dropping off a donation. I then saw a sign that said not taking donations on Wednesday's and since the person in front of me was dropping off I was confused and asked the guy if they weren't taking donations. He said no read the sign no donations on Wednesday's for right now very rudely. Why take someone's donations and not someone elses. They had no idea what I was even donating and now never will. I will just take it elsewhere to someone a little less rude.

I recently visited our community thrift. I remember when it was a time that low-income people could go and get furniture to Furnish there house at a reasonable price after looking at prices today. 2/20 2024 I might as well go to a retail furniture store. I don't know who's doing your pricing. But you're gouging people when everything is donated for free. There is no cost to the thrift store. Quit trying to bleed it out of the public.

UPDATED REVIEW. I really hate doing this update however, I feel I need to. I used to LOVE this place..but for the last few times of going in, everything has changed. The prices are ridiculously high for a "thrift store" it's like they have gotten SO GREEDY and have forgotten that all the donations given to them were FREE!!! I definitely will not be making any additional donations to them until something changes. It breaks my heart to see this because at one time, this truly was a gem of a store, now it seems they are attempting to compete with and become just another overpriced antique store in .town. Very Sad. Guess I will be making a longer drive to find another fave thrift store. My rating went from a 5 to a 1...not to mention how rudely we were treated by one of the "pricers" when I asked for a price on something, her response was...well, that's gonna be expensive 😳. Trust me, I can afford it...just the point!! I ran my own thrift store for many years..definitely not a way to maintain your customer and donation base!! DO BETTER.I LOVE THIS STORE GREAT DEALS AWESOME UNIQUE FINDS. Try and go once a week.

Used to love this thrift store. Since the founder passed and new management has taken over it has gone very downhill.They think they are a high end antique shop. Prices are through the roof, they keep items meant to be sold for the communities sake as store decorations… no longer a thrift store.Not worth my time to even donate here anymore. I’ll drive farther to donate and shop at a thrift store that actually helps the community.

I never have liked this store. It used to be really trashy and the people hanging around made me feel uncomfortable. Now there are snooty people running it and I'm uncomfortable around them too. Lol. It's just not my kind of "thrift" store.

We were suprised by the price of a a jacket. 150$ harley Davidson jacket. My husband said "God almighty" and the man we asked YELLED "that jacket is worth 500$ anywhere else! I know it for a fact! I bet you 1000$ it's 500$!" Absolutely humiliating us in the middle of the store. My husband found the same jacket being sold new for 250. Being sold used between 75-80$. The price didn't even matter. The way he spoke to us was INSANE. he was obviously offended that we were suprised by the price. People have been saying the thrift store has gone downhill and now I believe it. Who treats people that way?

Very happy to have been able to purchase a rolltop desk. No help though to get out to our truck, but they were quick to let us know that before I purchased the desk.

Never ever have I felt out of place. People brag about being open on Mondays?? Wow 4 hours a day. Get real!! The working class can’t even shop at our thrift store!! Yep that run the working class to Ellijay and Canton to spend their money. But really the prices are so high, it ridiculously. As for out of place!! Didn’t know not even one person in that store working!! Rude outsiders that has moved to our little town, throws God only knows away because it don’t meet there standards and priced for the Rich. Don’t forget putting things to the side for their own consignment store they have in another county. Great way to make the rich - richer. Take county donations for their own gain and run out people to other counties to shop. Yep I’d say that would rate a 0 when it’s 0-5. 5 being Great and 0- mean not worth a flip, never will I waste a min to see “if” I can find a deal. I KNOW BEYTER AND THE COUNTY PEOPLE KNOW TOO!

Where else can I go and find 3 beautiful chairs..one was $20, the other two beautiful leather recliners were $80. We've found some great buys over the years. Only problem is waiting in line!

This store USED to be a wonderful local place to shop but after a recent closing and reopening it is obvious the volunteers/director forgot about common sense and the prices are ridiculously high. Thrift stores and yard sales are how I bought items for my home and kids as a one income family. When I asked a volunteer about the pricing she quickly told be about inflation and gas prices going up then told me the alternative was to go to Walmart. These are exactly the reasons families come here to find decent things for their homes and families. Between the ridiculous store hours it's obvious the volunteers are not catering to the local families that need this store to flourish. This is a wannabe Christian antique store with donated items that gives out grants.

Loved finding bargains. Not everyone is as nice as they could be. Sometimes very short or abrupt with answers to your question about their store. This happened more than 3-4 times or I would not mention.

In the past, I haven't been a big fan of this store. It was too cluttered, unorganized, and inconsistently priced. I also couldn't purchase large items because I don't carry a lot of cash and they didn't accept cards.I'm happy to say that all of this has been fixed and it was quite a pleasure to shop here today. The store has been rearranged, organized, and consistently priced. They even accept cards for purchases above $10!My only complaint is that it is crazy busy and took me 20-30 minutes to check out as they only have 2 registers.Thanks for being a part of Pickens, Community Thrift Store!

I do really enjoy this place. The best time to go is on Tuesday at 10. The prices are fair and you always find surprises. The management is kind of awful though. There is a kindly gentleman, then there is a guy who I am guessing was bullied most of his life and has a bone to pick with everyone, Employees, Customers random items in his walking path..

They have the lowest prices of any "thrift type" store in Pickens & Cherokee County. They are always helpful. There is VERY large selection of books at 25 cents and some great furniture priced to sell..

We love shopping here. You never know what you're going to find. We stocking our entire kitchen with cooking and baking dishes and utensils for about $20. We also found an organ and piano, many books, and untold other things. The prices are extremely reasonable, the people so polite, and it's a great place to be.Outside can look a bit disastrous but I'm sure with the amount of donations they get they do the best they can.

Everyone should stop taking things up there until they get rid of Roger. He was very rude to my wife. She was gracious enough to get our truck loaded up with very good items. When she got to the location "Roger" told her rudley nothing would sell. We have brought thousands of dollars worth of good items there for the past several years. We once brought a 20 foot uhaul of my mother-in-laws estate after she passed away. Several rooms of furniture...etc. Today was the last day we will ever set foot there and I hope many more will do the same. Jasper needs a better community thrift store. It's sad when an individual like Roger can make the entire store seem terrible.

I love this place. I drop in every time I am in the area. You never know what you will find! The prices are great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it is so much fun to look at everything.

I LOVE this place! I've been coming here for 3yrs. Mostly to hunt for special.furniture pieces I like to refurbish. The people here are always so friendly & helpful! Great atmosphere & definitely a place I'll continue to donate to & shop at!

The prices have gotten ridiculous...you don't go into a thrift store to pay 100 dollars for a picture. I wish them all the luck with keeping it going though.

This is more a boutique than a thrift store. Pricing is definitely more in line with a boutique than a thrift store. They should change their business name to accurately reflect the type of shop they are.

I love this thrift shop. It is run by volunteers and they help every day people. The prices are very reasonable, and the profits help specific charities. I like to donate here as I know it will help others rather than line somebody's pocket.
