Located in the North Main street in one of the busy locations of Helen. The gentleman inside was very friendly and polite. He explained us about some of the facts there. The toys are wonderfully created. The prices are pretty pocket friendly. Also a good place to get some fridge magnets as a souvenir. A good experience. Would surely recommend.

Tim's has lots of interesting wooden toys, signs and other cool stuff. They can customize lots of different signs and wall hangings for you. They also have wooden puzzles, shields with customized crests and even puppets! Stop in for something unique that isn't like all the other schlotzsky's the shops in town sell.

Cutest little place where you can buy and have a lock engraved to put on the fence by the river! Only takes a few minutes. They have plenty of other things from ornaments, magnets and toys engraved. The staff were really friendly as well

Cutest little wooden store ever. Tim was very friendly and answered all of our questions. I couldn’t leave without buying a wooden block that had our wedding date and names. Hope to buy one online with my baby’s birth info and stuff.

We have been to Helen twice now, and this is always one of our first stops! Christmas ornaments, magnets, gifts, and much more. Staff are always more than willing to help, and create beautiful pieces.

We just so happened to stop in this shop while driving though from Florida to Tennessee. My son is really good at taking apart and breaking toys so I wanted to get him some quality wood toys. This place is wonderful. Quality craftsmanship, and friendly service. My daughters came in with me and I purchased them two large spin tops and a bulldozer and tractor for my son. My son immediately fell in love with his toys. This was a wonderful little gem, and I can't wait to come back some time to purchase more items like the train and fire truck which are also two of my son's Favorite things. I loved that you can see the toys being made. I definitely recommend this lovely little shop!

My daughter and I wandered in here. I appreciated that it wasn’t the average toy store and it didn’t feel like another tourist trap gift store.I got Christmas gifts for my whole family. Something to send to my deployed husband, a harmonica for my four year old son who LOVES any and all instruments and spinning tops to use with my two year old.My little girl loves looking at and plying with everything. This place wasn’t overly busy and it was great that nothing was fragile and nothing made crazy noises (like so many of my kids’ toys do).

The slim, older male employee was incredibly rude to my family today. He falsely accused us of messing with the puppets. My 13 year old boys were definitely NOT playing with puppets meant for small children. 🙄Then, my 11 year niece was examining a wooden puzzle box ($43) which she was planning to purchase with her own money, and he grabbed it out of her hands and told her not to touch it. This man cost the store her purchase, and the boys' purchases of the engraved axes and shields.

Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Stopped by on our last day in Helen to check out getting a custom "camper sign" for some friends. Very accommodating & fair pricing in my opinion, so glad to have stopped in this place to get a unique gift for friends back home.

We have 2 kids and the staff indirectly told us to get out. They told them to play with the toys since it’s a toy store and 2 minutes later flipped the switch. Needed to explain to my daughter it wasn’t her fault and the staff was rude. I guess I should thank the lady since I didn’t spend any money at the store.Thanks for being rude to kids and saving me $$$!Add on in response to store reply:This is a complete misrepresentation of what occurred by the store. Blaming the kids and customers when we did nothing wrong is terrible. The kids were on the floor with my husband rolling a car THE OTHER EMPLOYEE handed to them and said “play it’s a toy store, this is my favorite toy…” that employee did this in response to us telling our kids not to touch anything. I actually have it on video. No one was knocking toys off shelves and my husband was on the floor playing with the kids. Again have it on video. This response just shows the attitude of the store. The employee was so unnecessarily rude to toddlers. If you don’t like kids, don’t work in a toy store. Also pathetic to lie to save face on google.You do not want to waste time or money here, these people don’t deserve it.

Tims is such a unique step back in time, toy store. With great things for girls and boys. And, very pretty engraved wood peices. Always a warm and friendly shop. The owner is so delightful to talk with. Great place to definitely shop during the coming up holidays.

I love the homemade toys! This is one of a few speciality shops remaining in downtown Helen that isn't another damn t shirt shop. Negatives: I actually expected a larger selection and variety of wooden toys, I have seen more in other stores in other cities. Positives: I found a great looking race car that we had them to engrave his name on - it was perfect and he loved it!.

Extremely rude people. Slim older man and lady were both extremely rude to my cousins, who were trying to figure out what to get. We got out of there as fast as we could. The employees were very condescending to my cousins (14 & 16). Make for a horrible experience for them. I explained to them, some people are not worth it. Never going back again.

Cute, cute, cute. Super nice folks. We got a couple of things and left went for coffee while Tim personalized them. They were ready by the time the cup was empty. Wish I'd known about the personalized blocks for baby and wedding, but I know now. Have saved the website so I can order at will.

Amazing wooden crafts and very reasonable price too. So many nutcrackers in different sizes, shapes, color. Lots of innovative puzzles, wooden sword, all kind of wooden toy you can imagine. The quality is very good and reasonable price. The artist makes them in the store and you can watch him create it from the scratch. He also sells customized Christmas ornaments.

Very disappointing how rude the workers were. The lady yelled at my kids for playing with a wooden car that I would have probably ended up buying along with other toys, but not after that. Like a 3 year old is going to break a wooden block. Terrible person, terrible store. Skip it, there are much better places in Helen.

Nice little shop with traditional wood toys, with a couple of newer type toys as well.Staff was very nice and helpful.My 3 yr old loves his new wooden plane that we had his name laser etched on it for free, while we waited. (Less than 5 minutes)And my son loved to watch them etch it

We were vacationing in Helen yesterday and visited this toy store. We were looking for a Christmas ornament from Helen. We found the perfect one but it was a magnet priced at $5.00. The owner said he could not remove the magnet but would be glad to print another one and add a hole and ribbon. Little did we know that punching a hole and adding a ribbon would increase the price of this $5.00 item to $10.00. We left very unhappy with our experience at this store.

Tim was very nice and friendly. You can tell he cares about his customers wants. Did exactly what my boyfriend and I wanted! It’s perfect! We’re super happy with it. Will definitely come back here in the future.

Owner was so nice! Has various wooden toys that can be engraved (basically anything in his store).While checking out there is a “T puzzle” at the desk that our entire group couldn’t figure out we finny gave up and asked him to solve it for us. LolTons of fun little things to do in Helen!

I have been shopping here for years for my Grandchildren! These are the toys that last a lifetime and become the antiques of the future! I always have to go to the toy store (Tim's Wooden Toys) every time I visit Helen! Otherwise, I call or go on-line to shop! The staff there treat you like family, and I like that!

Handmade unique wooden toys with affordable prices. I love to buy souvenirs that the kids would actually use and enjoy. We bought a ping pong ball rubber band shooter, some abc blocks, a wooden truck toy, a round tuit. Lots of others to choose from and to personalize. We would visit this store again when we visit.

Well made, quality wooden toys, puppets, & customized cedar signs. Beautiful work! You will find rubber band guns, tops, tic tac toe boards, trucks, cars, planes, trains and more. Such a neat store. The kids had a great time discovering toys.

Tim’s makes a high quality Carpenter bee trap that’s half the money of similar design traps on Amazon. They work great! Yesterday I called and ordered four for my neighbor. They arrived today!Great job!

Best Toy shop in Helen. Mr. Tim is the most wonderful Man. He makes everything himself and is so helpful to everyone. We send everyone to this store and they are always so happy we did.
