Visited this one over the 2024 New Years weekend. Wait timewas like 45-60 minutes. But server was very nice as she wasthe only person waiting on all tables. Place is very smallso get used to rubbing elbows if you eat in. A slice of pizzais like $5.50. Ordered a 12" deluxe $25.00 and the doughwas fresh but the actual pizza is nothing to write anyoneabout. Cheap topping ingredients (see pic). Marinara saucefor garlic knots was very good. wings were just okay.The funnel cake fries with powdered sugar is very good ifyou like sweets. Thumbs up on this dessert.Typical inflated tourist area prices for food.

I got the “get lei’d” pizza in a 16” and an order of the jalapeño poppers and let me tell you, all these 1 star reviews must’ve been having a bad day. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time and came in right before closing,still amazing. The staff was super friends and quick to get me my order. I placed an over the phone order and was told 15-20 minutes for it to be ready. I arrived after about 19 minutes and my order was ready to go and steaming hot. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys pizza. This will be my new go to spot when visiting helen! (Note- we ate some of the jalapeño poppers before we took the pic, couldn’t help but dig in 😋

Small, cozy pizza 🍕 shop! Great selection and variety. The pizza comes out hot and delicious with the crust being the show. Super light and crunchy, this pizza hits the spot. With all the shops and walking, the 7” is great for 2 with a side. The garlic knots hit the spot and were full of flavor. Service was friendly and polite. This shop also sells by the slice!

Fried pickles and fries were good but the pizza sucked. It was so greasy and smothered in so much cheese, it couldn't be picked up. The crust was super thing and doughy, it basically melted into the cheese while trying to pick at it with our hands. Neither of us even finished a slice but the server took it without questioning it and charged us for it. We should have spoke up before paying but they burnt out first pizza and we already waited so long. Plus, while we were there they were closing down around 7:30 even though their hours say they close at 9 so we felt rushed. It wasn't until we got home and let it sink in that we paid a total of $50+ for 2 appetizers because the pizza was inedible. The server was perfectly nice and attentive, even when our first pizza burnt they let us know and our apps were good so we didn't mind waiting. But a bit surprised to not question an uneaten pizza and still charge for it.

Wife and I came in here for lunch around 2pm on Monday Sept 26th, 2022. After several days of Oktoberfest-type food we were craving just a basic hamburger so we came here. They have several types of burgers on the menu. My wife had the "Hooch burger" which is a basic hamburger with the usual lettuce and tomato, you will have to ask for condiments. I had the mushroom-swiss burger; if you are craving a good burger this is a good place.My wife had the salad as a side and it's definitely a good sized salad for a side-salad. I had the onion rings as a side, they were a good flavor, a little over fried but edible.The burgers were very good but a little pricey (which everything is nowadays so no real complaint there).Seating is a little cramped like every restaurant in Helen. No parking immediately by the restaurant but there is ample parking close by.The one server/hostess was professional and very friendly even though she was busy the whole time.

I don’t feel like this place get enough credit. I have eaten pizza from a lot of different places and this buffalo chicken pizza was the best I have ever had. Just the right amount of heat. A crispy cracker crust. Sooo goood!!! Service was a little slow and not overly friendly but definitely worth it! It’s a little hole in the wall place that you must try.

So there’s a sign in the restaurant that states how many Karen’s and Kevin’s have visited this store. Yeah they need to take that down because I get it. Although the customer service was good they have ONE server doing everything and when I say everything I mean everything. That ONE server was answering phones, taking orders, explaining the menu, cleaning tables all the while by her lonesome. I don’t see how she did it. But someone being a Karen is totally justified here because of course there are going to be some situations where service needs are not met. I asked for silverware to eat with my pizza as it was a big slice and I needed a fork. I didn’t get the silverware and I had to eat with my hands. My hands were greasy and covered in sauce. Not sure if I’ll come back it’s a tiny place and very busy. Pizza was alright though.

I Bought a 28 dollar supreme pizza, thinking oh this must be a great pizza considering it was 12 inches which is a small pizza anywhere else. Well let me tell you what I got for my money it had very little toppings and the cheese and topping was at least 1 and a half inches from the end of the crust. The crust was absolutely terrible. Got a glass CV of tea with no ice. Dont even ask for a refill she brought some hot tea to refill glass with no ice. Never seen original waitress she was helping other customers. Pizza was horrible. 😳

Rudest restaurant experience I have ever had, truly. Due to a parking situation, I ordered to go and then, since my husband found parking, after dropping me off, we were able to stay and eat at the restaurant. We were told we had to leave because we ordered to go, we couldn't eat at the table we had been sitting at for 15 minutes waiting for our food. Keep in mind this is a place that you seat yourself and people waiting for to go are sitting at tables, incredibly casual place. I had paid for the food in full, I had already tipped, as if dining in, the restaurant had open tables and I, my husband, and grandson were told we could not eat there. We had each ordered a slice, might have sat there 15 minutes, if we stayed. It was humiliating to be asked to leave. Irony, we were sitting under a sign advising the staff not to be rude, management should take that advice. By the time we got home the pizza was cold and grease soaked. Worst restaurant experience of my life and I am 44. Avoid this place, there are plenty of other pizza places in Helen.

Ordered delivery from here during a trip to Helen. Delivery was pretty quick, and everything arrived as ordered. The pizza was excellent (we got bacon & onions), and the lemon pepper wings were perfect! The kiddos loved their kid's cheeseburger & kid's chicken tenders. I would definitely eat here again on our next trip to Helen!

Jayden was serving us and was absolutely amazing. Get this girl a raise ASAP. She was efficiently dealing with 5 full tables, answering the phone, ringing up at the cash register and kept a good attitude the whole time. The pizza actually wasn’t my favorite but her service made me satisfied. Again - give this girl a raise or I’ll hire her myself.

I recently found myself indulging in the delights of Hooch Pizza, located in the charming town of Helen, Georgia. It was a culinary experience that I will remember fondly.Let's start with the staff, who were simply outstanding. They were always attentive, friendly, and demonstrated a genuine interest in ensuring our dining experience was top-notch.The food at Hooch Pizza was superb, with the highlight being the small pizza – perfect for a single serving. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection, which is exactly what you'd want in a pizzeria.In terms of location, Hooch Pizza offered the best of both worlds. Nestled just off the main street, it was conveniently close to the heart of Helen yet avoided the bustling crowds that usually throng the main thoroughfares. This balance made for a relaxing, enjoyable dining experience.However, there were a few things that could be improved. Firstly, the building itself is quite small. This wasn't a major issue, but it did add a certain level of intimacy to the dining experience that may not be to everyone's liking.My main point of concern, though, was their water serving policy. It seemed odd that the only way to get water was by purchasing individual bottles. Some people, like myself, prefer drinking water for health reasons or to stave off dehydration, especially during the scorching summer heat. Charging for tap water at the price of a fountain drink would be understandable, but the requirement to purchase individual bottles felt excessive.Despite these drawbacks, I must say that the quality of the food and the dedication of the staff outshone these minor inconveniences. If you're ever in Helen and craving pizza, Hooch Pizza is worth a visit.

Place is nice and cozy, service is good. Probably need another employee at register. Food was OK. Problem was the pizza came with a pool of water in the middle... Never been to a pizza place that has had a pool of water under pizza. Maybe they don't cook the veggies and put them on top of the pizza afterwards. Not sure... Wouldn't go again for pizza.

Excellent thin-crust pizza. We just ordered “regular” pizza, it turns out they serve them in a very thin crust, which I loved. The dough, toppings are delicious. Service was quick and great. This is definitely worth the money.

ignore the bad reviews!! if you want pizza in the greater Helen area then this is where it’s at! we got the supreme and im usually not huge on thin crust but for whatever reason i loved this. it didn’t have too much sauce like a lot of places. the lady working there was nice and she was taking care of phone calls, to go orders, and those who were dining in.

Expensive, but it is Helen, so we expected that. We got a large pizza and two pizza skulls plus drinks for $47. My son enjoyed the pizza skulls, they did please more than the pizza pie . We got a combination pie and the cheese and toppings were fresh and plentiful. The problem was, first, it took too long to come out. They apologized and said they had a large delivery order just before we sat down. More time went by and they then said our pie fell apart in the oven. More time while they made another. When we got it we could see why it fell apart: the crust. It was thin, which is fine, but it was not at all crisp and unable to support the topping. When we tried to pick up a slice it would fall apart into a mess. The quality was not there for what we paid.
