The server demonstrated exceptional customer service by verifying my children's orders with me prior to finalizing them. Her attentiveness was commendable. I opted for the blackened trout accompanied by German potato salad and mac and cheese. While I initially encountered a minor issue with the temperature of my meal, it was promptly rectified, and I thoroughly enjoyed the freshness of the fish and the overall taste of the dish. My family members also expressed satisfaction with their respective choices, including the Beyond Burger and the Camel Rider sandwich, which was particularly well-received by my eldest son. The generous portion size and delectable flavor of the sandwich left a positive impression on him.Vegetarian options: They offered a black bean burger, a Beyond Burger, and a Beyond Bratwurst.Kid-friendliness: There are approximately five options on the children's menu, none of which are plant-based.

The food was delicious. I am not really a beer cheese fan but I could eat theirs on everything. It was out of this world. I may go by on my way out of town and buy as much of it as they will allow. We were a party of five and we all tried something different off the menu. Everything was phenomenal. They were extremely busy and all the servers were great but ours disappeared at the end and we had to find someone to help us check out. I hope she’s okay wherever she is now.

We ate on the outside patio next to the river. I got a Reuben. It was ok but not near as good as another restaurant in town. My husband loved his sandwich. The pretzel was much smaller for the same price as well. The server could have been more attentive. Short wait.Parking: There is very little parking at the restaurant. There are paid parking lots nearby.

Excellent pub food. Everything was tasty! Pretzels were not as dark as I expected, might not have been made with lye. Still tasted great! The Knockwurst sandwich had a much darker pretzel roll. Looked very authentic! Would have been spot on if the Knockwurst was longer than the roll! The river view and German music playing was a nice touch as well.Vegetarian options: Black bean burger and hummus. Maybe a few others.Parking: A few parking spots at the restaurant not many thoughKid-friendliness: Kids menu and high chairs available

My parents and I came here the day after Thanksgiving, and EmiLee took care of us. She was AMAZING!!! She worked the host stand, cleaned tables, ran food for co-workers, AAAAND had her own section of tables to serve!! Our experience was so fantastic, we told her we would be back close to Christmas. We came back today (12/21/23) with my sister and her family, and asked for EmiLee...another FABULOUS experience ❤️❤️❤️*Highly recommend The Stack, Pretzel Bites, Rueben, and Mac & Cheese.

Really good food. Service is also hopping. Plenty of beer on tap. PLEASE tip these waitresses! They are working hard for us and deserve nice tips at Christmas time!Bring a jacket. It does get cold inside.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entrance to inside. Not sure about restroom.

Food was awesome so as the location. I especially liked the french fries. Four stars as glasses were smelly. For some of the dishes they didn't care to provide serving spoons. But over all their service is too good to complain.

Slow service but nice server and view! Open air restaurant right over the river, the food is good and the fries are even better. Good selection of beer and select cocktails. Cafe international is one of the staples you should stop by when in Helen. We’ve came years ago and stopped by this year. Definitely stop by and give them a try!

We had the pretzel and beer cheese for an appetizer and it was phenomenal! Then I had the French dip and let me tell you it was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was extremely helpful. We were beyond happy with our experience with this restaurant!

My friend and I stopped here for breakfast before a winery 40 min away. The food here was divine, the view was breath-taking, the service was prompt, the warmth of heaters was weather-appropriate, and the red cabbage was my first-ever discovery which became a new obsession because I loooooved it so much. The mashed potatoes here are the best in the world!We sat by the river and took it all in.My happy place for sure!When we returned after many hours in the evening for my friend’s forgotten credit card, it was safe and given to her right away. There were ladies DANCING outside which I loved!P.s: we initially went to a different cafe in the morning where we felt disappointed, and I unfortunately almost mixed up the two when writing my reviews this morning, sorry about that. This cafe is most definitely excellent and also offers live music.

The food was good but the service was terrible. I never normally complain about service because I understand that sometimes they are busy and it’s a demanding job but this was just awful. Our server was Kabree. She didn’t ask us where we wanted to be seated (there is both indoor and outdoor seating) didn’t speak to us upon arrival, just looked annoyed. When we were sat she just walked away (keep in mind we were 1 of the only 2 parties sat in the restaurant at this time.) When she finally came to the table she just started at us and again looked annoyed. Didn’t ask us what we wanted to drink or anything. After receiving our food she dropped it off without saying a word to us and then ran back to the back of the restaurant. We were not asked if we wanted refills or checked on through the entire experience. We sat at the table for 15min waiting on our check before I finally gave up on waiting for her to bring it and went upfront ask asked for it myself. Food for 2 people and 1 beer was 55$. The food was good but the service was not worth that price at all.

Our waiter, Sean, was so incredibly kind and attentive. We felt bad that we came in so close to close, but he assured us that everything was perfectly fine and let us enjoy our meal. He was an exceptional waiter. Our food was so good, too! We got the all American burger and the French Dip, both of which were delicious. The loaded fries were to die for. I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have a better rating!

Here was my experience. Came in and the service to be seated was fast. The waitress was superb. My 12 year old ordered a Reuben, and she took 1 bite and made a face. I thought that it was her being unnecessarily picky, so I took a bite, and it was ‘off’. Something definitely wasn’t right with it. The waitress couldn’t have been more great about getting us a replacement of something else. In addition , she didn’t even charge us for the replacement. That was unexpected and appreciated since we had to wait and delayed our appointment. As far as the Reuben, like another poster mentioned, it was not sliced but chopped. I found it to be runny, hard to hold between the bread and just not what I am used to or expected of A Reuben. It’s a casual place so if atmosphere is your thing you may be disappointed. There were vacuums and advertising signs against the wall and so that never matters to us. I’m always looking at ways how businesses handle a bad experience and our waitress was a 5 star for handling the situation. Recommend

Cafe International is definitely good and the Brats are a must when you visit Helen. It’s not anything too special but they do have a few Vegan options which is nice including a Vegan Brat. The views are also nice if you get a spot next to the Chattahoochee. If you want Brats then stop by!

I am disappointed in myself for not reading through reviews before choosing this eatery. The waitress was nice. However, the food did not look nothing like picture or description . I ordered The Reuben it stated thinly sliced corned beef. This was chopped up meat as one of the customer suggested looks like dog food. It look so unappetizing I only ate bag of chips. We did even bother to ask for money due how the other customer stated she was treated. I am writing this to help others from wasting their money. I really wanted the food to be good😒

My friend and I visited Helen for the first time and thought we'd start here to get something to eat! Perfect 10! I ordered the Rueben and I applaud Alex the cook; he made the best rueben I've ever had, cooked to perfection! 👌🏾The owner Mervin is kind and hospitable and I believe her name is Sydney, has the best spirit, so sweet, genuine and fun to talk to! We were treated so well and highly enjoyed ourselves! Customer service was superb and we will be back soon! 😆 Cafe International is our stomachs new favorite restaurant in Helen! 👏🏽
