From the very first day of HJH, this shop has been more than coffee for us. We’ve had some of the sweetest conversations, life changes, and dates in this space. It is the center of our town and its heart and we absolutely love this shop. The coffee is absolutely amazing, no matter what you order. The best part however is the humans behind the bar and surrounding the tables that greet you with a smile and positive attitude. We are so beyond thankful to have such a sweet shop in our home town.

If you ever decide to go through Harlem to cut traffic or to just go to a small park or church gathering, then I would suggest this quaint and delicate coffee shop! With locally sourced ingredients and the wonderful staff that provides excellent service, you would have to be running incredibly late or just skittish to not go here. The ambiance and decorum shine through with a modern yet somehow rustic feeling that makes me feel warm and happy. The drinks to me feel like a bonus since they add so much to this place. The caramel cappuccino is one of my personal favorites, but any of these delicious items they have on the menu will satisfy me nonetheless. Overall, this spot is one in a million that will withstand any popular brand-name coffee shop.Dietary restrictions: With the wide variety of ingredients they have, you don’t ever have to worry about this shop not having any substitutions. Always ask the shop about dietary restrictions and they will provide you with the upmost care and comfort.

I always love coming to this cute local coffee house. Their coffee is amazing, even their decaf espresso is delicious! Their coffee flights are always fun and presented well. The blueberry muffins are amazing. The croffles are soooo good. Staff are always sweet and helpful, I never feel rushed to order. My favorite drinks are the spiced Irish cream breve or a hazelnut breve. I also love all the local hand made products that you can buy in the shop! This is such a cozy small shop where you can relax away from the busy and crazy town of Augusta, without driving too far.

Amazing coffee shop and gathering place in a small historic railroad town very close in distance to Augusta but a century apart.Every time I visit my daughter and granddaughter, a definite activity is walking several blocks to Harlem Java House, getting a coffee drink (and usually a pastry), shopping for a gift or two, and spending time in the Java House’s welcoming environment.Give yourself the gift of true small town relaxation. Stop by Harlem Java House and stay a while.

Such a beautiful place! Love it, this will definitely be our go to cafe. The Lavender macchiato was amazing, I was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t taste artificial or overpowering. My husband got a iced matcha frappe, he also loved it. We got a snickerdoodle muffin, very very yummy. The seating and atmosphere are so cozy and chill. Customer service was really kind and helpful and contributed to our comfort at the cafe. Great place!!! They do military discount too. Thank you!Dietary restrictions: There’s oatmilk.

Love it here! Great atmosphere and vibe! Employees are friendly and helpful to newcomers! I discovered that this place is the exact same distance from my house to Starbucks…so I started coming here! The coffee is delicious and doesn’t have that “sickening sweet” taste or smell of commercial shops! The quiche is delicious! My only “complaint” is that they don’t have bigger cups! Lol But I fixed that! Now I just take pleasure in ordering two drinks and try different flavors! Love the Bourbon Caramel Iced Macchiato and the Lavender! I went three times this week…I’ll be back next week! Great place!

The staff is always so friendly, and the atmosphere is always perfect for a hot or iced cup of coffee and a good book! The coffee is also spot on for a coffee snob like me. 😏Dietary restrictions: I have to use oat milk and they almost always have that availability.

My husband found this gem of a coffee shop a few months ago. I was blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere and the wide array of coffee drinks to choose from. We are both huge fans of the quiche, both meat and veggie, as well as the frappes and lattes. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. It’s absolutely worth us making the almost 30 min drive on many Saturday mornings to visit. When I was looking for a place to host my book club, I emailed them and they were more than accommodating. The table had a special reserved sign and the owner gifted us with complimentary muffins. My book club raved about the food and drinks and was impressed with the stellar service. I can’t recommend them enough!

My favorite small town coffee shop. The new owners are very sweet and take the time to get to know their customers. The food is prepared fresh and it is very enjoyable. The atmosphere is a whole vibe. You don’t feel jammed in and can enjoy a conversation with your friends. Very relaxing so many people come to get work down here as well.Parking: Street parking. When the weather is nice I park further away and walk. I window shop the other stores in the area or go inside and shop.Kid-friendliness: Yes my children love Harlem Java House.Wheelchair accessibility: Street parking and one level. Table and chairs can be move to allow wheelchairs.

amazing coffee shop to go to! I went to the Java house after school every day at one point because I could not stop ordering my favorite drink! Staff is so sweet and the environment is so so cozy and makes you feel right at home. They have great coffee and great flavors to chose from as well. I also love their fresh pastries, I believe the apple cinnamon one was my favorite.

Our first trip to Harlem Java House was an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, the vibes were chill, and the coffee was calling our name. The Flight option? A game-changer! Trying out four different coffee flavors was like going on a flavor adventure. Seriously, if you’re a coffee lover, you gotta give it a shot. And let’s talk about those Croffles, crispy, fluffy, and downright addictive. We couldn’t get enough! But what really made the experience shine was the super welcoming barista. They were like the cherry on top of our coffee-filled day, making us feel right at home. So, if you’re looking for a laid-back spot with killer coffee and vibes, Harlem Java House is where it’s at. Five stars? No doubt about it!

I absolutely love this place!! If I lived closer, I’d be in there EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 😂 coffee, Italian sodas, brownies, muffins, whatever it is, it’s amazing!! The owners are so sweet and fabulous! They often have events going on, like paint workshops and blanket/knitting workshops. Plus they’ve got so many gifts and trinkets for purchase in the coffee house. It’s definitely a hidden gem and worth the drive if you’re coming from Evans/Augusta. 11/10 def recommend!! 💚

Wow just Wow 🤩 so shocked to find such a cool little coffee shop. We had a pour over Ethiopian coffee it was the best I have had between Utah and Georgia. And we tried the blue macha, scone and banana chocolate chip muffin. Great food and drinks that didn’t break the bank! Thanks for a chill space to hang out in a scenic little historic town in Georgia. Much respect to the veterans that own this gem!

This is by far my favorite coffee shop and I’m picky! The owners are super nice and the atmosphere is completely perfect. They showcase local artists and have the absolute best coffee (plain or dressed up) around. The quiche is on point too but the coffee is perfecto. It is the kind of place you just want to sit and soak up the good vibes. Highly recommend.
