I pulled up and parked while my wife went to the sushi place next door to pick up a to-go order. Seeing that the sign posted was for Grocery store customers only, I was about to go inside and purchase something. It wasn't even 30 seconds after I pulled up, a rude man (I assume one of the owners)came out and asked me to move my vehicle. I stated to him politely that I was about to go inside his store and purchase something. He ignored me and told me to move. I asked, "Do you not want me to buy something from your store?" He shook his head and said no. I said ok at that point, and backed up and parked on the main road. Very rude in his approach and seemed to lack situational awareness, whether through ignorance or lack of understanding English. Either way he lost a potential returning paying customer.

Unfortunately, I wish I had the same experience as the reviews here. Super unfriendly, and understanding the parking was for the store, I stepped into the restaurant next door, while my husband would go into the grocery store. Instead was greeted by an angry owner, and when my husband explained he was going to be a paying customer, he then asked if it was not what he wanted, the owner declined. Disappointing. I work close by.

Anybody that gives Hampton grocery a bad review must was having a bad day between the three stores over here this one is my go too, I’m currently sitting outside waiting for them to open because the other two stores complain about my Id being expired like it doesn’t say 1990 for me to buy tobacco people take their jobs too serious, I just know when they do open were gonna speak like we family they gone sell me my swisher and ima walk back home, no problems. The owners are wonderful people don’t make their job hard

Not only is the store filthy the female is very rude and nasty. She was rude to my mother so I had to let her know that was unacceptable. Save your money and go to any of the other surrounding gas stations or food marts. They need to be shut down for selling expired products and for a cleaning overhaul

This place is the worst. First went in and looked around the whole place is dusty, it smells. The people that work there have bad customer service. I went in just to try and get a gallon of milk I went to grab one I notice it had an expired date on it for 2 weeks. So I let them know they didn't have any other, so I left came back the next day and they had put back the same gallon of milk out. So I went and told them they got an attitude and took the milk back and I watched as they erased the date on it. So I don't recommend ever coming here.
