This store is the absolute worst!!! It’s closed again at 8 pm on 4/28/24!!! This store is out of everything constantly, and it seems now, they just close it down if they don’t feel like being there. It’s a joke and has been like this since the first day it opened!!! I thought it would be a good place for a store but I guess the joke is in the people living around it! Dollar General is awful!!!

All the stars are for employee on shift at 5 pm Saturday the 24th of February. He handled with grace and professionalism the uncontrollable havoc that fell in his lap on my visit.The system froze the card readers did not accept chip cards ( wtheck? )none of us , myself and 9 other guest in line had no way to purchase our items.This location has been thru.so much staffing-stocking- management issue the two years I have shopped there there are no other excuses that could be given for your guest to believe. Dollar General should have means to at least have working equipment in this store. Its crazy!!!This location is close and convenient to my home. And it would be greatly appreciated if someone would take this store under their wing and help out to make it as profitable as it could be.You guys have new crew members that are eager and willing to do an over the top customer service. Interacting well with your guest, well groomed and professional in crisis times. Back them and give them equipment to succeed. Or they will go to work somewhere less stressful. Who wants to go into a store to work that has no product. If your lucky to find what you came for you can't even use your valid bankcard to pay for it.SMH... This is sad.

Always out of stock of everything, or it's all in the aisles in boxes where you can't get through with your buggy.Self checkout should be for convenience, not mandatory for everyone who's paying card, especially when the cashier is standing at the counter doing nothing when there's 8 people in line, some with full buggies, waiting to check out at self checkout because the cashier is cash only. That's ridiculous.

You can barely go through the isles due to unpacked product. You NEVER get greeted at the door or the register. It’s as if they were trained to be rude instead of welcoming. The store is always HOT. Can’t be in there for more than a few mins without sweating. The cashiers always act like you are bothering them to do their job. And you have to watch your prices being rung up, I’ve had to go back several times to get my money because the prices that were advertised and the price rung up were different. I’d rather drive to a different store that is further away than return to this one!***went back again on 2/21/24 and the cashier is yelling at customers asking why can’t they “just use the self checkout” and that they were “pulling her away from what she is doing”. I feel bad for her because she looked overworked. But it is never acceptable to yell at your customers. And the woman she was talking about was an older lady. This location is trash!! It’s sad because it is so close to my house.

This has to be the worst dollar general in the state. the shelves are never stocked. there is never anyone at the register to check you out. the employees are rude and wear ear buds while working. It's the closest store to me so I stop there first before going to walmart. And like clockwork they never have anything. My wife and I have an ongoing joke about wasting time going to this dollar general first.

They are always out of everything! They are literally the talk of the town for never having anything on the shelves. We all drive into Lovejoy to other Dollar General stores to avoid this store.

Very poor service. I went in tonight, some minutes before closing. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. When it came time for me to check out, one guy had music playing from his phone. The other guy who checked me out still didn't greet me. I asked for cash back and he didn't hand it to me, he threw it on the counter while he was on the phone with his momma. When the store first opened, it was really nice & clean but that was when it first opened compared to now. Stuff is always everywhere & out of place. Some of the employees are nice but the customer service is trash for the most part.

No sense of urgency from staff on Friday at 7 pm. No greeting. No smile. Cashier takes a long time to deal with a customer, doing exchanges and then just stares at me. Then she’s asks , “are you ready”. Of course I’m ready I’ve been standing there for 10 minutes what kind of question is that. No customer service there were two people back there. One of them was a manager. There was about six orseven people in the line waiting. The two employees did not have masks on ironically standing right by the sign that says masks required. In customer service you have to have a smile you have to have a greeting you have to have a sense of urgency or it will not last long.They look fat slow and lazy the manager, meanwhile the parking lots a wreck with trash everywhere price tags thrown all over the place somebody needs to come in and manage this place and clean it up and get some good help in there or it’s going to be losing money fast. I’m glad I sold all my Dollar General stock because operating like this device is gonna drop like a rock

As a customer I felt limited. There were unpacked store items in the aisle all over the store. Pay stockers to come in and restock your store when new shipment comes in. It looked so bad inside, I left.

I was desperate to find helium balloons to help celebrate my grandson's graduation. I went into the Dollar General on 3250 Hwy.81 in W. Hampton Ga. and asked for any graduation decorations. I didn't know they sold helium balloons there till the wonderful, helpful young man on duty told me. They didn't have a helium balloon on graduation but they inflated the balloons I bought at the party aisle. I couldn't be more blessed with their offering. Service beyond expectations to please the customer! This young man deserves my recognition and from the company. Thank you young man.

Was a regular customer until tonight. Last time inside of this store. As I was talking to the female clerk I heard the voice of a young man talking to me as if I was illiterate. He never showed his face. Very rude young man. Even though it's closer to home I'll rather drive further out than to deal with poor customer service.

This Dollar General store has most anything you would need. I went in for a particular item and noticed that it seemed to be like a large Kroger store in smaller space. Also, the employee's are always friendly and ready to help you!😃👍🏾

They had a young guy working tonight and it seemed as if he was on something, the computer on register 1took forever and this is a brand new store. The shelves were rumbled through on the hair care isle.I gave it a 2 only because it wasn’t as cluttered as the other DG stores in Hampton.

This place has things others dont have fow a very low price. I was recreating a fairy garden in one of my planters and they had all the supplies I didn't have to look all over town. I picked up party supplies while i was there to as well as my favorite chip and candy for movie night.

Dollar General on Hwy 42 and Evans Rd in Rex GA IS THE WORST STORE. You would think that the manager of the store ( not sure of his name, his tag said Stephen, but everyone was calling him Jay... And he answered to that too) could do simply addition and subtracting! Especially softer over charging me and then refusing to take it back When I NEVER LEFT YOYR SIGHT!!!!

1st time shopping at Hwy 81 store in Hampton Ga. On 11/26/20 purchased Clover Valley Corn chips just opened the bag 12/6 and they were so stale looked at the date 9/13/20. Staff not doing their job because if they did they would have caught that out of date product. I'm so disappointed in that store mgmt. should make sure products are good.
