Best dark-meat chicken, fried mushrooms, corn nuggets... and for some reason I wanted to put my potato salad in my potato loaf bread. The ambiance is excellent and the staff is pretty amazing.

I was driving by and smelled the barbecue and had to turn around. Glad I did, I had the sampler platter. It was delicious! The chicken was juicy, pork was tender and the ribs were flavorful. The Brunswick stew was hot and some of the best I’ve had. Fries were like 5 guys. The potato salad was a little dry and needed salt. Service was great, shout out to Kaylee and Shayna, had a great conversation with my servers. The sleeper here is the chicken salad! It is absolutely great, need to try. Will definitely be back

Excellent food and friendly service. The catfish and shrimp dinner was delicious; the shrimp lightly fried with the catfish in a cornmeal batter. My mother had the fried squash as a side; I tried some and was great, too. Nome of the fried food was the least bit greasy. It's definitely a go-to spot of you're in the Claxton area.

Okay...so you're in Metter and there ain't much there...so you decide to go for it and head to Claxton because Harry's is pretty popular.Bring a strong gut...the food is delicious going down...all fried all the time...The desert cookie things are to die for...The staff is wonderful as they can be under the pressure...the place is jamming most nights and especially the weekends...they close early.In short...a good joint...but bring a healthy constitution.

Great food and atmosphere as well as many different menu choices at fair prices. Lots of 6-8 seater booths as well as tables towards the back of the restaurant. Kind friendly staff as well!

Very nice and spacious place. Super clean restrooms and sitting areas. I ordered shrimp and grits it was just that shrimp and grits nothing extra. But to my surprise the grits came out piping hot, cheesy and creamy. I usually am very hesitate about ordering grits from restaurants but I can truly say they did not disappoint. My spouse ordered the rib plate and hands down those were some of the best ribs ever. Seasoned with perfection and falling of the bone tender. I would recommend this restaurant and would defintely recommend the grits" as a side" ,especially if you love grits like me, and the ribs.

Alright maybe it was an off day but the food and service was awful here. The brisket plate was tough and greasy. Two of the pieces weren't even edible and the other 2 were like jerky. The Mac and cheese was plain didn't taste like much. The slaw was way to sweet. My husband had the rib plate and it left alot to be desired. OK ribs but not alot of meat.

This is a long serving restaurant, over 30 years! They have upgraded to a new larger building since then and is very cozy with seating. The booths hold 3-4 people on each side. Great for large parties.The food was really good! The BBQ is excellent. Their coleslaw, oh my, it's absolutely amazing and you must try it if you like coleslaw! The French fries are home made as well. They do have coffee and deserts available, including pecan pie.Their ice is the same ice you'd get at Zaxby's and that's my favorite kind! You know, the small cube shaped kind.No beer or bar is here. So it's an excellent choice for a family environment meal. Highly recommended for anyone in the region who has a family, or if you want to have a "date night" with your spouse.

It's simply great southern food. The bbq pork is moist and has enough bark in it for a great flavor. I've had a couple other things and they were also very good. They have the best baked beans in the world!!!! Check it out you won't regret it!

I went here with family. There were 8 of us. We got a nice table large enough for all of us. The food was very good. Everyone enjoyed theirs. I got the stuffed potato. It was large, I couldn't finish all of it. The fried shrimp that some got looked delicious. And of course the barbeque was great. I will return when I go back to Claxton.

Ordered the sampler, wife had shrimp and kids had chicken fingers. The smoked meat seemed a little acidic almost like the smoke wasn’t clean. Scale of 1-10:- Shrimp - 9.5, melt in you mouth, best shrimp I have ever had.- Chicken Tenders - 9.1, cooked perfectly, juicy, not a whole of flavor, but great with honey mustard.- White meat chicken - 3.5, so dry it would choke you out, skin was acidic and looked like the smoke was probably dirty.- Ribs - 4.2, dried up, not very good at all.- Pulled Pork - 5.0, dry, no taste, bbq sauce was ok.- Brunswick Stew - 8.0, it was good, great texture, but was a little too salty.- Potato Salad - 4.0 seemed to be just potatoes with no additional ingredients.- Fries - 9.0, fries were home style, fresh and cooked perfectly.I would recommend they scratch the smoked meats from the menu and shift to seafood and home cooking. I didn’t try the brisket because it didn’t come with the sampler.

Smoked chicken that falls off the bone is hard to find; this place has it and the only seasoning seems to be the smoke. Great chicken! The barbecue at Harry's is wonderful, too. Mustard-based and very delicious. They also have great sides. Today was baked beans for me and they were cooked just right. All-you-can-drink sweet tea and other drink options are available. Very clean restaurant with nice, clean restrooms. Highly recommend this place.Vegetarian options: Plenty of side dishes. Parking: Plenty. Kid-friendliness: Great for all members of the family. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

Waited over a hour for food and cold when we received it. Took order at 4:33 and after 5:30 when it was delivered. Gave an18% tip for bringing food and cleaning table when we left. Service and food was not good. From out of town and will look for other towns around next time for a good meal.

The selection of food was great. The portion sizes perfect. The food was cooked perfect as well. Even for steak! No complaints. The place is nice and spacious with TVs. A comfy place for the family to eat. The staff was lovely as well and checked in on us through our stay. Plan on going weekly! The prices are to be expected for shrimp and steak items and other homemade to order foods. Waited the usual time for our food to be cooked and sent out.

Yes a black man walked in the restaurant today get something to eat this cashier looked at him and walked away he was standing in front of the register she looked at him and did not wait on him ...everyone else had been waited on and she did not help him so he left... what type of service is this at this restaurant no cashier offered to take his order what type of service is this..

We were in town on business and stopped by Harry's based on reviews. The atmosphere is really neat with plenty to look at, there is plenty of seating and the staff is super friendly. I ordered 2 different apps and they were good but not great with smaller than normal portion sizes. The BBQ portion size was good but a little weak on flavor. We did enjoy our meals but it could have been a little better for the price.

The honest opinion..... Came when they was not busy; it took an hour to get our food. The food was warm but not as hot as I would like. The food was decent all in all. I got the seafood platter, fish was cooked fine, I got 6 shrimps, they were over cooked and over seasoned. My food also came with 4 fried oysters. They were good, but I like them right out the grease. It was 16.99. I feel it was a little over priced for the quantity.My wife says to add, coleslaw was worth mentioning. It was tasty.
