Jan 2024 service was better, food still great!March 2023 udate, service has gone downhill a little, last 2 times food has been wrong and we are rushed out. Tonight, she asked if we needed boxes as soon as we got our food. I'm not thrilled like we used to be with service...Update! I've been going here on the regular, and they never fail. Consistent with the food. Service is spectacular. Zero complaints still! It is an adorable place and a little hard to find. Looks like a country store, but there IS a restaurant. I love the atmosphere here. Different tables, cool light fixtures, and wonderful decor. The hushpuppies with maple syrup and powdered sugar were delicious. We ordered ribeyes with red potatoes loaded....this is how I judge food; if you reach for the salt, it is done wrong. I actually looked at the salt and wondered why it was there. Not needing seasonings is a sign of great food. I feel like this is a 5-star restaurant in casual attire. The 70 dollars we spent on 2 steaks, 4 sides, 2 drinks and all you can eat shut your mouth puppies was less than what I have paid at restaurants in downtown Savanah and The Farmhouse has them tied in my book. The food here is definitely reservation and cloth napkin worthy.Try it out, and drive out of your way to go. You won't be sorry you did.I almost forgot. The best, BEST banana pudding I have ever had, way better than sweet potatoes (they are famous for their banana pudding). Just go see for yourself

The food overall was good. However, I ordered the buffalo chicken wings, and first go around got a honey barbecue sauce instead. I do not like barbecue wings. So I sent them back. By the time I got them again, my husband was done eating and ready to go. I instantly noticed that it didn't appear to be buffalo sauce, again. I gave it a go, tried it. Was told it was there version of buffalo sauce... It was more like a honey mustard. So needless to say, I didn't eat. Wasn't a fan at all of the wings. Cornbread was very dry and overcooked. My husband got a burger. He enjoyed his sides, mashed potatoes, fries, and Lima beans. But not so much the burger. He said he didn't care for the sauce on it. The server was very kind. She was busy, but kept up well with all of her tables. Just bummed over the sauces really. The food would have been amazing had they had the right flavor sauces on the meat.

They need to learn what seasoning is. I got a chicken sandwich and it tasted like there was just bread. Pretty sure there was more flour than chicken on the tiny tenders between the buns. I couldn’t swallow without water and even with water it was tough. My wife got the grilled flounder and there may have been 6 specks of black pepper. She said it tasted like nothing, tartar sauce was mandatory. My son got shrimp tacos which was alright. The fries came out room temp and soggy. Again no seasoning on fries, not even salt and pepper. Maybe I came on a bad night. All the other guests seemed to know each other and enjoy the place, but I didn’t. Just no taste.

The food was great, the menu changes every day. They have a salad bar now, which is nice if you are choosing to eat a light lunch. Overall I have never been disappointed on any given time I have visited the farmhouse.Parking: Plenty of room to park.Wheelchair accessibility: Standard handicap accessibility.

Love their BBQ sauces, hot sauces and salad dressing. Have been purchasing these from their gift shop for years. Our out of state guest always sto k up before leaving town or ask us to bring with if we are going to them.Parking: Small parking lot but easy access. 😌Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

First visit: Food was amazing! The fried chicken, white meat, was juicy and tender. No scrawny breasts here! The rice was cool, but the gravy was warm and delicious (made me rethink not ordering the pot roast with carrots). The cream corn was hot and delicious. The fried okra was fried to perfection and I didn't get a single end cap. I was going to ask for ketchup, but it didn't need it, and it's a good thing, I didn't see the waitress again until it was gone. Seems like a locals only place. Came in during a road trip by myself and felt like was being stared at the whole time. Think: Your Grandma can REALLY cook, and invites you over for a good meal, but your Granddad doesn't like you so much and leans against the counter in the kitchen the whole time you eat; that was the feeling got here. I'll deal with grandaddy for the food though.Second visit: TBDParking: Parking is somewhat limited. No one yelled at me for parking on the grass.

They had a Wonderful Thanksgiving spread. The food was great and so was the owner and the staff who welcomed us. This was our first Thanksgiving that we did not cook and it was a Great treat to be served such great food and we did not have to clean up after dinner. Hahaha. I hope this can be a new tradition for my family and I. They serve food daily and have a little gift shop, so come give them your business.

Exceeded our expectations for some good home cooking. Steaks were fairly priced and terrific. Everything we got fried (hush puppies, green beans, Mac and cheese bites) were spot on - not overly fried or greasy which seems to be the case for a lot of places around here. Staff was also very friendly and accommodating for our little one. Looking forward to going back.

The food was awesome! Our server was very attentive but not so much that we couldnt enjoy our meal.I ordered the steak and oysters. My steak (ribeye) was cooked to perfection and the oysters were great! I'm definitely going back to try other menu items.I highly recommend this restaurant!

They don't have much, but sometimes simpler is better. As they say, the devil's in the details.I got the dark meat fried chicken with mac & cheese, coleslaw, and a biscuit. The fried chicken was fresh, crispy and very juicy. The coleslaw was finely chopped and very tasty. The mac and cheese reminded me of the kind you would get at a church potluck dinner. In conclusion, if you're looking for a delicious home cooked meal this is the place tolbe. they know how to make some good food here and you won't go wrong with anything on the menu. As the kids say, "its bussin fr fr ong."
