I got my beautiful Nina Marie there . And the people are very very welcoming and they answered all of my questions. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place to get a massage this is the best place . I got my fur baby there and she’s my first pet I’ve ever had . I can’t imagine my life with out her . I would recommend this place to anyone who wants or is looking to make that next step .

Adopted my girl from there, was Ellie but renamed Salem. The shelter worker was so helpful when the dog I initially went to look at didn't work out, and showed me this sweet girl. Love at first sight, and a perfect fit for me (even if she was the opposite of what I thought I had wanted/went there to get) and my family. I swear that woman read my soul. Thank you so much HCAS.

Soooo amazing!! We just adopted our beautiful, baby kitten today & we all just feel so united & at home! So in love with this shelter, everything they do for all of the animals! Please adopt your baby from here! Staff & volunteers are so friendly, kind & gracious!Thanks again!!!

My mom had her dog spayed here 2 weeks ago now and got kennel cough.Now both of my dogs have it that never have been sick.She called multiple times and nobody wants to cure the issue.This is why both my dogs are taken to our local vet.Thanks Hall county for nothing.Do better clean your area the dogs are in more often.

We got our kitten here. Star as she is now called was sick to begin with. They kept her till she was healthy enough we could take her home. The excitement of a nine year old to finally get her cat was caught on video and perhaps the best feeling I've ever gotten as a parent. The shelter really seems to care.

I can't say enough good things about this animal shelter!! They have wonderful dogs and cats and they are kept well. Its a well taken care of facility, very clean and organized. My mother adopted two kittens from this shelter for $25 fully spayed/neutered with microchip and shots. They explained how to properly medicate the kittens after their surgeries. The staff here is kind and friendly. Katie Perkins you are just amazing!! So helpful and caring when it comes to the animals and people adopting them. Thank you for what you do for these animals! Hall County Animal shelter is a wonderful place to adopt an animal from!! I'm sure my family will be back for more fur kids in the future!

I cannot find enough kind words to tell you about the people that work at Hall County Animal Shelter. Their work is not easy.... Sheri Miller, Heather Newton, Heather Evans, and the other Sheri (?last name) These people are the best of the best. They love the animals and truly want good homes for them. They were so kind to me in my situation. (They had every right to be tough and harsh on me for the mistakes I made with my dog. Thankfully, they were not.) They were so kind and compassionate to me. I am so grateful these ladies are in charge of such an important part of our community. They have it all together, from the answering the phone with good advice and correct protocols. To being kind to someone that made a big mistake. They are truly professionals at what they do and I am so grateful to such an awesome team of people. I can't THANK YOU enough.

We drove 5 1/2 hrs to rescue this Blind guy and bring him into our home and get him back to good health.The shelter was so helpful with his care plan and needs that we need to address to make sure he has the best life possible.This guy is now named Zeus and is a very happy, sweet as can be, gentle giant.Thank you Hall County Animal Shelter.We promise to give him everything he deserves and more.#adopt #DontShop

The employees at the shelter we're so very helpful and caring with our adoption of Maverick. They helped provide us with any all details that they had on him. As well as helping to get his shots sponsored. I would recommend anyone here in the hall county area to visit and adopt a loving animal from them.

Clean shelter. You can take the dog you wantvyo look at outside in an enclosed very high fenced area to observe and play with. Staff is helpful.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Storm, Churchston (sorry if I misspelled!), the Heathers and April. Definitely recommend adopting or volunteering at this shelter!! I adopted my Daisy Mae from this shelter and have received amazing support and guidance from all of these wonderful people!

They took very good care of my chihuahua Caesar lady's there seemed to genuinely care about pets. And while I was there they chipped my dog for me also. Now I feel I have better security for my dog. Thank you ladies

DO NOT adopt an animal from here. Left with what I thought was a sweet dog, he started getting aggressive that same night. He tried to eat our cats, tried to bite our other dog and was continuously growling at US. We stuck it out for a week and hoped we could fix him, but the final straw was him nipping at our other dog and almost starting a violent fight, pushing the other dog into our five year old. We explained that he was extremely aggressive and the staff tried to argue and say that he was “just showing dominance”. They then told me that if I couldn’t rehome him, that they would put him down. Who morally says that to someone? Humans come before animals, I can’t believe they acted so spiteful when the dog endangered other animals and my family. I couldn’t imagine trying to guilt someone who was just trying to protect their family. Not to mention, this shelter is absolutely disgusting. I advise wearing a mask. Go to surrounding shelters or the humane society across the street instead. I even tried making it right by adopting another dog but they were so mad about the aggressive dog that they pretty much shooed me away. Extremely unprofessional. They are there for themselves, not the animals.

Ugh if only I could house every single dog in here, I would because they are over flowing with babies!!! Please adopt a beautiful abandoned pet! They all look so sad and ready for a home. I recently lost my dog and they are very friendly if you need to go take a look at the dogs found. Also, if you are adopting please make sure you are ready to take care of a dog! This is how the cycle continues. People love the idea of a pet but don't know and don't want the responsibility after and these babies suffer at your choice.

So w had a stray we took in for a few days with no luck we could not find rightful owners however we were able to get an appointment within 24 hrs and I know personally the dog was already given a home and had been rescued out they ( staff) were unbelievably patient kind and warm. The place was clean and we'll ran thoroughly organized and professional I had HUGE restraining feelings about giving him up however I could not have a dog at my living situation by rules. He was taken in with love and affection and they were so incredibly diligent about knowing he would have a home with proper TLC. Hats off to these amazing professionals!!

My daughter has loved cats basically since birth and though we already have a family cat, she wanted a kitten of her own. I made an appointment for us to go and look as a surprise for her 10th birthday. The schedule was pretty open so I was able to choose a convenient day and time for me. Also, bonus points for when I called a live person picked up almost immediately instead of having a lame automated system. I can't speak for the dog section because we did not go in there but the cat room was very clean and we were able to interact with the cats as much or little as we wanted. They even had a room where you can take them in for one on one. They did not have a large amount of cats or kittens but they had some really sweet ones for adoption. My daughter decided on the sweetest four month old kitten who was surrendered with her litter. Whoever it was who surrender them, I have to thank you because she couldn't be a better fit. Also all of the employees were nice and pleasant. We were not able to take her home the day of as she needed to be spayed first, but they squeezed her in for the next day and we picked her up the following afternoon. They were very clear on aftercare and medication instructions. For a $25 adoption fee they come home spayed or neutered, microchipped and all the basic shots. Can't beat that!

They were just amazing. Weve never adopted before. One of the front desk ladies is very informative and explains everything so well. They probably have like 40 dogs to adopt it was overhelming for me. I wanted to take them all home with me. We recently lost our 13 year old fur baby. They are short staffed but all work very hard and have volunteers helping too. We adopted a 10 m old labrador retriever mix. He is the sweetest. Still getting adjusted its only been a week. The staff is great and the place is well kept.

This place is tucked away. Often missed due to humane society. Much need to donations for animals needing forever home or comfort from being lost. I dropped 3 bags of towels, bedding and cat food. Please consider helping. Great staff.

You used to walk back and see the animals, but they changed their policy where you can’t look at the cats without someone standing over you the entire time. That might not sound like a big deal, but it’s awkward for some. I waited and no one ever came, so I left. Forsyth has a much nicer shelter, with much friendlier employees. You can take your time walking around and interact with the animals all you want. We adopted a beautiful kitten and we were hoping to find her a companion.
