Our fur baby girl Gypsy does not like Vets at all. She was very comfortable with the staff and we were so happy at how quick and easy it was for them to take care of updating her vaccinations and getting her flea and tick prescription! We were able to get a same day appointment for our kitty, Midnight Rider and were seen promptly. Dr. Betts and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. He's already improving. I think we've found our vet in this area.

Awful do not recommend… About 5 years ago we took our dog here for surgery and they called saying he was ready for pick up and everything went well and they called us later on the way there and said “she” died and we were confused because our dog was a boy and got another call back a couple minutes later saying he passed.This week a friend brought their dog for surgery and called saying she was ready and they came to pick her up and she seemed okay very drugged but kind of expected after surgery. Vet did not keep her to monitor or anything and let them take her home after telling us her white blood count was very low and she has a puppy that was decomposing inside of her. A couple hours later she had passed.

My girl Dakota needed an emergency c-section I called and spoke to Roberto and he told me to bring her in right away. As soon as we got there Dr. Haley and her staff took great care of her now our Dakota is recovering well and we have 7 healthy puppies !!! I can't thank them enough for everything they do for my dogs. Highly recommend them!!!

I’ve been taking all my pets to Smith Animal Hospital since 1987. It’s recently changed hands, and I miss Felix and Ben very much, but many of the same people who were with them still work there. We still get awesome care there. Dr. Kristen is especially wonderful.

I have another vet I use for my dogs but when I called them about my dog that needed immediate attention, they were full and would not see him that day or try to fit him in. I was very upset. I called Smith's and they welcomed my dog right in. I will be transferring both my dogs info over to Smith's since they showed compassion and interest in caring for my dog asap!!

With 12 inside cats and about 20 ferals to take care of and feed a multi animal discount would be something to think of, but the bed side manner is way better than other vets in town.

Love the service the Veterinarians are great but they are corporate and the prices KEEP GOING UP! I used to have all 4 of my dogs seen there now only 1 they are ridiculously high. The $49 exam fee every time for each animal just for rabies.

I cannot say enough about how delighted I was with my visit to Smith Animal Hospital. My boxer mix got into some bad food, and he was feeling very poorly. I was able to make a quick appointment with the office. They were very kind and professional. When I arrived, I felt immediately at ease with their friendly staff. My dog didn't even seem anxious at all when I handed him over to be checked out. The vet was very sweet, and made reasonable decisions regarding my baby's care. It is obvious that they truly care about you and your pet, and I will definitely be using them in the future. (Also, hands down, most organized business functioning during this pandemic. It was honestly impressive. )

This was our first visit with 2 rescue puppies we just got a couple days before. The office was very accommodating and helpful in getting us in for an appointment quickly. Because of Covid, the office staff came out to my truck to get the puppies. After they were seen and checked out by Dr Ben Smith, he came out to talk with me and discuss their checkup as well as answer a LOT of questions I had as a first time puppy owner. Dr Ben spent as much time with me as needed and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. I HIGHLY recommend Smith Animal Hospital to anyone who has pets. The prices were VERY reasonable and the office had the small town individualized treatment I was looking for. They now have new customers for life!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Smith's diagnosed my 19 month old puppy with coccidia and treated her for it. We went to them twice in a week because she was not getting better, for them to do an x-ray, which they said was fine except for a "clump of worms". She was not eating, losing a lot of weight, and very weak. We decided to get a second opinion. Too late. She ultimately had eaten something with metal wires in it. The "clump of worms" in her intestines was actually a clump of metal wires. By the time we got a second opinion, it was too late. The wires had moved through her intestines. She passed away. If Smith's had diagnosed her correctly, she would still be with us and my 9 yr old would not have had to bury his puppy! I regret ever going to Smith's. They talked a lot of game, and we were naïve and believed they were knowledgeable.

I first met Dr. Smith while he was administering rabies shots through the Crawford County 4H. He was always very helpful so I decided to take my new puppy to the Smith Animal Hospital. I was referred by several people to bring my dog to this veterinarian office. My dog has really bad chronic allergies, thus finding a veterinarian that is skilled and willing to treat her is very important.Upon our first visit, we were greeted promptly and all of the employees were very friendly and helpful. To be honest I was a bit sceptical because anybody can be professional and friendly once. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I came back and received the exact same experience from the staff.I have since visited several more times and still each visit has been a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves their animals and wants to give them very good care.Thank you to all of the employees at Smith animal hospital.

I am so thankful for Dr. Ben and his staff. Dr. Ben is very knowledgeable and patient. He will sit down with you, listen to your questions, and share all of the information you need to make the best decision about your pet. He does not pressure you to do unnecessary tests or procedures. He takes your feelings and thoughts into consideration and always reassures you that you’re doing the best thing for you pet. I always leave his office feeling encouraged and happy (even if I just had to discuss tough topics about my aging dog). I couldn’t ask for a better vet to help us get through the final months/year of our dog’s life. I can’t imagine ever finding a better vet!

Less than 24 hours after visiting this vet my fur baby died. No concern for respiratory problems, like most vets here, just want to run expensive labs. No common sense approach to figure out the immediate cause of illness. I am so frustrated and saddened by the lack of care, empathy, and concern.

Had a semi emergency come up with one of my dogs. Smith Animal Hospital was able to get me in within 15 minutes even though they had a full schedule. They were very accommodating and was able to diagnose my pup....which was her being dramatic and faking her injury. -_- BUT the staff was awesome!

I am in Perry attending a dog show. My 21 month old Rottweiler developed severe diarrhea and vomiting. I called and asked if they could see us that day and they scheduled an appointment that afternoon. Dr Bob and his techs were amazing! They took great care of us and listened to my concerns and goals with his treatment. Dr Bob respected that because I am a vet tech in Nashville that if I could just make it home I could have more diagnostics done there. Turns out with his fast treatments we didn’t have to make the drive home because Brody made such a fast turnaround. We plan on staying one more day so that Brody can show and hopefully get his finalPoints to become an AKC champion! Thank you again to Dr Bob and staff for taking such good care of my boy and me!

Needed help with a critically ill dog. I knew he probably wouldn’t make it but I was willing to try and do something. The solution I received was an exploratory surgery to check for cancer. Not ideal but if that is what it took. The problem was there was no plan to keep him from deteriorating in the meantime. With appointments weeks out I drove him to Atlanta to see another vet. They at least tried everything in their power to save him and make him comfortable. I would rather drive 2 hours to see a compassionate office then deal with Smith again, but it is a shame I have to.Ned to add once this review was posted I received a bill for $18 for a test done in April? I am getting this on 8/6/20. 4 months later. Strange!

So the docs here are great and they always take great care of our doggos. No complaints there.My problem here is with whatever scheduling procedure they use. For every single appointment we’ve made for the last year ... we *Literally* wait in the car for a minimum of 30-40 minutes after our appointment time before they even come to the car to take the dog inside. What’s the purpose of an appointment if it’s never kept and instead they just work us in? I understand emergencies happen - I truly do - but this has happened literally every single appointment, of which there have been SEVERAL (we have one dog with bad allergies and another with medicated anxiety who also just completed ACL surgery).It’s just so incredibly frustrating to not have our time respected. That said, if you’ve blocked off at least 2 hours for your appointment and have nothing else to do - no complaints!!! Again, the care and the doctors are great.

Took my 3 year old Tshitzu in for her first visit. Was very impressed with the young lady at the front desk. Very professional and nice. Loved Dr. Felix. Sadie was calm with him. Found our new vet
