Prices where a little but high on plumbing pipe but it saved me a trip back to WR so it's not a bad trade off, the guy working was very nice and knowledgeable as well, will be back if working in Fort valley!

I felt like I was not the right color to go in there. I walked in there, and then another guy walked in right behind me he helped the guy behind me first then I had to ask him two or three times to help me without helping me first, and I asked for help first I really hope that's not the case but that's where I experience

Very disappointed in this store. I almost went to Lowe’s to avoid this stores high prices but I like to shop local to support small businesses.I was in need of some advice in a project I am working on so I requested help from an employee. He told me what kind of chain and hooks I needed. He was just about to cut the chain for me when I told him I wanted to make sure it would fit the hooks he was selling me BEFORE he cut it. He assured me it would fit and proceeded to cut the chain.I got home, opened the box of hooks to find out… it did not fit into the chain. My receipt said “bringing your receipt guarantees a no-hassle return” so I immediately took it back to the store to get my money back and while the lady was working on my return, the same employee who assured me the chain would work refused to let the her give me my money back because the chain was already cut. This is very upsetting considering I only purchased the chain because he told me it would fit. I even expressed my concerns before he cut it. Waist of time, gas, and money. Just go to Lowe’s.

This may not be Home Depot, but you can usually get what you need here without driving all the way to Perry. The people are friendly and helpful and they are open 7 days a week! So, it would be worth it to check here before going to another town.

I stopped in to get a key made for my truck. They had exactly what I needed, staff is helpful, and the store was well-organized and seemed to have a good selection. This is a great old style hardware store.

Wow, I can't believe the reviewer would give a bad review because he doesn't carry 45 cents in his pocket. I'm not sure the reviewer is aware of the processing charge a business incurs from their financial institution when a charge is run through their terminal....this transaction would have cost the owner money out of their own pocket. As far as the bolt costing more, I have to wonder what the cost of gasoline would be for him to travel all the way back to Lowe's.

This place really sucks. I like to frequent local small businesses as opposed to the big chains but I have never had a good experience at this place. This morning on my way back from the big city I stopped and purchased some bolts, nuts and washers for a project. I realized when I got home I needed one more bolt. The bolts were 10 cents at Lowe's, when I went to Fort Valley Hardware for the one more I needed the price was 43 cents. Then because I don't carry cash they were going to charge me more for using my card.I would not recommend this place to anyone, drive a few miles, you will save in spite of the cost of gas.

The only hardware store in Fort Valley, Georgia. They're a little racist. I've witnessed them watch black people as if we're going to steal. My childhood friend, Dr. Vernard Hodges, speaks about what he experienced in this store in his book "Bet on Yourself" From Zero to Millions. I shop here all the time tho because of it's convenience.

Convenient! Sure, they can’t compete with the mega stores on price but they do know the difference between Sheetrock nails and finishing nails! That experience plus the proximity to our home means a lot.

I've use this Hardware store often when I need various items for home projects...am surprised they seem to always have what I need even though they are a small home town store. I've found their prices very reasonable - especially if considering the inconvenience and cost of driving to one of the larger Home Repair stores in the next towns. I saw a review criticizing the store for having to charge a fee to a customer who wanted to make a .45 cents charge - not sure that customer had the right perspective.... most places would not have even made the sale.
