I wouldn't dare buy the meats there. The cooler was extremely filty, blood from the meat on the padding that looks as though the padding never gets changed. The meat is also over packed. The temp does not feel normal. The Zone Manager and the Store manager should be fired at the Warner Robins GA location. Shameful

First time there. I was visiting my family in Fort Valley Georgia. Store is ok. I understand the reasoning behind the store but still sell fresh food. Some meats & lots of the fruit was suspect. Never saw salt pork used for seasoning, not refrigerated. The meat (salt pork) was old, turning color and shouldn't be sold. Chicken breast was gray looking. Helping the community with a grocery is great but still have respect for those who shop there.

Great place to shop, fully stocked with all of the things a grocery store should have. Fresh meat, good selection of fruits and vegetables. They also had a great space between the Isles...easy to walk through.

Looks great. And still cool inside. Great prices on the food. Just don't like the 10% taxes they charge for shopping there. And the smell back in the day they had was bad. Now it is cleaned up and redid. Happy to shop there all the time. Not from Fort Valley but happy to drive 20 miles to shop. They do Western Union but you might was call before going over. Something is always wrong with the machine.

Stopped there only to use their restroom. This is one of the largest, cleanest Food Depots I have ever visited. I don't live in Fort Valley, but if I did, I would shop there!

Food Depot-Ft Valley, Ga.I was in the area and thought I'd run in and check on some items that I haven't been able to find in other stores lately. They did have one of them...not my favor place to shop, they price stuff like you think you're getting a descent price and then when you get to the register, they add 10%. Nope, not for me!!!

Better option than Freshway. Prices are reasonable on most items. The only negative, the meat dept is lacking compared to Freshway.

The employees were very helpful when I couldn't find what I was looking did. I didn't even have to ask for assistance. I was not only pointed in the right direction, but taken to where I needed to go. The reason for two stars was because the floor was horrendous. I have worked as a floor tech and housekeeper, as well as a convenient store employee and have never seen a floor that bad. It looked like it hadn't been clean for weeks. Major parts of the floor were black.

I used to shop here on a regular basis but haven't since this trip...The store was dirty and cluttered..prices are going up on many items I buy..Produce is usually good..Products are not being restocked on a lot of items I buy...Employees are helpful and courteous...but you really need to step up your game over there...Your the only grocery store Fort Valley has...And also the surrounding area...a lot of stores have closed already, leaving fewoptions...your community is counting on you...

Fresh produce hands down. If you're going to visit for anything, make sure you visit the produce department. It is loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables both ala cart and prepackaged for your convenience. Plenty of parking too. Staff is usually helpful and waiting for cashier is short. In and out pretty quickly.

It's a nice place to shop; People are friendly. The prices aren't too high despite the extra 10 percent they add. However, some of the meats aren't great. Overall not a bad grocery store.

Very few organic or gluten-free choices, but otherwise a large variety of food. It helps if you can calculate the real price of each item, because they charge 10% over the marked prices.

Arrived at Food Depot at 8:52 pm. They now close at 9pm because of the virus. I was told they were closed by the employee guarding the door. I said you was not closed 10 seconds earlier when the man and woman came in right before me, she responded oh they should not have came in but she let them. I do not know if race was involved but we were of different races. So i have been coming to Food Depot for 30 years even when they went by a different name but still the same company. I will NEVER shop at this store again or any of the stores owned by this company. I wil drive all the way to Byron to Freshway to buy what i need. There food is fresher and around the same price after you add the 10% that Food Depot adds.

What can I say? It's a Food Depot. They have a good variety of items and the meat section trumps other grocery stores with the selection. Prices are nice as well.

I go here when I need to get canned goods. They pile the meat up so high in the fridge that there is no way it is staying the proper temperature. Not to mention the carts full of meat without any refrigeration when they are putting them on sale. I went to buy a precooked ham once and all of the cured meat had mold on it. Gross. Even with the canned and packaged goods, I always have to check dates or you might get something two year expired.

They say their prices are lower but it's false advertisement. They add on 10% at the register. So that $1.50 can of soup that is cheaper than Walmart at $1.56 actually costs you $1.65, which isn't cheaper.

Can't give 0 stars. Has to be the nastiest grocery store I have ever set foot in. Often times it smells like a dog kennel. The meat counter is always gross. They sit the chicken up. Its frozen when they put it out so then the juices from the packages leak all down the counter and all over the other packages. When I went in this week the beef was all brown. To top it off another customer and I saw a mouse running around the floor. I'm done. I have shopped there several times because other than the Dollar General (which is not a full grocery store) Fort Valley has no other grocery store. From now on I will take the time and spend the money to drive to Perry or Warner Robins to go to the grocery store.

I have only been in publics a few times and everytime I go in there its is always clean as can be and everything is so well organized and there are never any flies flying around the meat and other food products. Also the employees are always so nice
