I enrolled my 4-mth old frenchy into the puppy leash free and community and I am so happy with the results. 6-wks is a long time to be away from your pup, but it was worth it. You can tell they love the dogs and my Bella loved being there. I have been home 2 days and everyone has commented on how well behaved she is. Super calm and socialized around other dogs and in commercial areas. Since I live downtown this training was perfect. Fully adapted to the crate, pretty good off leash and excellent on leash. The training staff is so helpful. I definitely recommend. Also happy I now have a comfortable place to board her if I ever need.

We absolutely love this boarding facility!! The staff is always so nice, even when we had a last minute adjustment of pick up time. Our pup is a rescue that was previously abused so hes timid around new places and people. Here, he is always excited to go and comes home well taken care of and happy! He has anxiety and can hurt himself on the kennels and is usually acting timid and scared when we would pick up from other places; Not the Dog Spot! He always seems very complacent and not stressed at all. He is excited to see us but loves the staff, and goes back for goodbye pets from them ( which is not normal for our nervous guy) . Just a great place with a great staff that truly know how to care for animals and that care about your pets!

My girl went for her first time away from home. I was definitely nervous. the facility is clean, crates are clean, play space is clean. I even called the evening after drop off to check on her and they sweetly let me know how she was doing. My pup is like a kid, she’ll definitely go back when needed. Also, she came home with better eating habits than when she left. Great job!

Worse experience ever! When questioned, she’ll become very condescending, abrasive and disrespectful. Never will I ever return. However, her daughter is a sweetheart and very respectful and kind. Mom could learn a few tips on tact and professionalism from her, go figure. Don’t waste your money or your time. Go where you’re respected.

I boarded my late daughter's dog at Dog's Spot and when I went to pick him up the owner asked me to let her know if I ever wanted to get rid of it because she really liked Chihuahuas so I just gave him to her. We all three WON!

My dog was not ill-behaved before she went to boot camp. She was just a normal puppy, but we wanted to start her off right. We did the 3 week in-kennel training and could not be happier. She listens and follows all of her commands. I get compliments on her behavior all the time! More than the basic obedience she came home with an over all calm about her. I saw a couple of reviews complaining about the cleanliness. I mean, its boarding and training for multiple dogs. They play with each other and have a great time. I've never seen 2 or more dogs run and play and not come back dirty! Come on people! I highly recommend Kim and her staff! They are professional and friendly. My dog has been boarded twice and is going again in a couple weeks. I won't worry a bit about her.

We have used The Dog Spot in Ellabell to train three family dogs. All of our pets were rescues and varied in age from 2-8 years old. We first used the Dog Spot about 5 years ago and our most recent rescue pooch was just there this month. Could not be happier. They all are extremely well trained and well behaved in our home, on walks and off leash. It has made it so much easier to take them to the beach to play and know we can count of them turning on a dime when we call them. The communication about our pets training and progress was fantastic. When we picked up our most recently trained dog they took great care to make sure our 5 year old daughter also knew the commands. 5 Stars!!!!!

We sent our 1 year old boxer to the 3 week boot camp. I cannot say enough good things about this company. The trainers are fantastic, they emailed me multiple times a week and posted videos on my dog's progress. At the 1 hour hand-off session at the end, they were very clear about all the training they had completed with my dog. They demonstrated it and made sure I could perform the commands and corrections. They even sent me a link to videos I could watch to refresh all the lessons taught as there was so much covered in the hand off. He sits and lays down immediately, comes when called and doesn't pull my arm off with a leash anymore! A great investment for our family.

One of my friends recommended The Dogspot to me as I was beside myself, with my new puppy😢 It was either she go here or I was going to have to give her away. She was terrorizing my Yorkies! I called Kim and , she was very nice over the phone and said she could help and would take Jersey a Girl. I did two separate trainings. 6 weeks of ,, “ boot camp”. Her behavior was terrible, chewing , Biting everything and everyone and got aggressive when told No. I wasn’t sure how this was going to go down. I missed her terribly and was worried she would think I left her there. WELL 6 weeks later, I went to pick her up, and I’m telling you, I wanted to know what they did with my dog! She was listening and had the best behavior! They took me in the facility to do the Training with me. I was almost in tears , she was listening to ME! They told me ANYTIME if I needed help to let them know and they would be happy to. I skipped the community training because she was doing so well. Big Mistake. ! You see not only does your dog need to be trained , you do also! Jersey was amazing at home , but I did not know how to handle her out. I called them back a few weeks later and enrolled her in swimming and community class. Yes they use the E collar- at a Very LOW setting, and with all of the training before this place , nothing else worked ,but it has to be used correctly. They don’t go around zapping your dog all day, for heavens sake. It’s there as a reinforcement! . My dog was so afraid of the water also. By the way, they send you photos and videos of your dog being trained. Once you enroll, you are now able to get in on the website to see training, in case you need a refresher. My dog is now my Yorkies buddy , as big as she is. I needed to have a big dog to feel safe, and now I have a well trained one! I would not have my baby right now if not for Kim and her trainers! Kim oversees all the training and her trainers are TOP Notch! I especially Love, Mary. You can call or text her anytime. I love the fact that I tried to sneak up to see Jersey, at about 2 weeks, and Kim said no. I really needed a peek, but it wasn’t good for Jersey to set the training back. She stuck to her guns and I now have a very well trained , lovable Dog! I have ZERO Complaints, and I will not board my dogs anywhere but here. Video cameras everywhere, 24 hours these dogs are watched! Jersey gets out of the car excited to see them when we have to board. I also use the E collar at home, but now it’s off , but she doesn’t know it. I have a totally different dog, who is now a part of our family and so owe it all to The Dogspot! Thank you! I would give more stars if it was possible! Robin Greco

The Dog's Spot is awesome!!!! Mason graduated from his Bootcamp last week and he has come home a completely different dog. When I brought Mason to The Dog's Spot, he was completely out of control. He would jump on everyone and about pull my arm out of socket when I took him for a walk. I am amazed at how calm and responsive he is to the commands that were taught to him. He now walks directly beside me no matter what speed I am walking and I can even walk him without a leash. I highly recommend The Dogs Spot for all of your training needs. Thank You Kim and The Dogs Spot team for making my best friend a better house mate to live with.

Our dog Chase is a rescue. He is very skiddish and frightens easily. He literally would lie on the ground when you tried to walk him on a leash. We took our first dog to the Dog spot and they worked wonders so we knew that the Dog Spot was the saving grace Chase needed. A week before he went to the Dog Spot I had to drag him across the floor at the vet. After three weeks at the dog spot we came home and today we took a long walk around the neighborhood perfectly on the leash. He follows all of the commands promised by the Dog Spot. Their dedicaiton, love for dogs, and training are worth every penny!

We took our dogs to Kim and one of them came back with gushers on his head and neck, would not eat or drink, and was not acting like himself at all. We had to take our dog to the vet and he is now having to take antibiotics. Kim at The Dogs Spot was quite rude as always when I mentioned it to her and refused to give us partial refund. Definitely never doing business with her again.

They definitely care about eve animals at the dogs spot. They do use E-collars for the training there, but it is not painful to the dogs. I have "shocked" myself on the same setting most dogs use and I couldn't even feel it. I would take my dogs there anytime for boarding or training.

My young doberman boarded here twice and we had bad experiences both times. His ears are cropped and almost standing but their posting method led to him develop pockets the first time he stayed. He also came home with an eye infection. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and boarded him again. I included the posting supplies with instructions to keep the ears taped constantly. When I dropped him off with his food, the owner lectured me on my choice of food saying that the protein content was too high. Obviously she had NO clue what she is talking about because the food I feed him is extremely high quality and has a LOWER protein content than most foods. It is well within the safe range for large breed puppies. used to work for a vet so I'm not stupid ;) When I went to pick up my dog, I was horrified to find his ears untaped and drooping. I was told he had a bath that morning so they had untaped them. My response was ok, so why not tape them back when he was done! His ears had been untaped all day which went against my wishes and also set us back again. His blanket was NASTY which tells me my dog was also before his bath. I will never go back.

Well . My dog actually died days after coming back from here. When we went to get him we noticed he was skinny and that his food bin was completely filled to the top as we left it when dropping him off. He was already separated from the other dogs due to him not being "fixed" , and stayed outside with the other (types) of animals. Back to when we got him after our spring break trip , he lost 13 POUNDS OVER THE COURSE OF 1.5 WEEKS. My poor puppy NEVER turned down food but he denied everything we tried feeding him. When a family member of mine called to ask them how was he acting here at the dog spot, then they proceeded to mention him throwing up instead of telling us while we were on vacation. We took him to the vet after thinking he was going to get better when we noticed he was limping and droopy eyes . We had to turn our dog over to the vet because he was too sick to take home and they called us the next morning after a hard night of our family dealing with our loss practically . She then explained that they did surgery on him to see if they could fix him up before giving him to someone who has the expenses to nurse him back to health . She told us during the surgery , he had lines of plastic in his small and large intestines that potentially cut up his insides and his bowels as well that spilt over into his stomach and it was nothing they could do . so she left my precious baby asleep. we feel as if during his separation time from the other dogs at the dog spot , he was left unattended and unfed so he ate what he could find and they killed him . I always wondered "why do people get so sad when their pet passes away" and God has answered that question for me. Cherish you're pets and don't send them here please

Boarded my dog there and they charged me for picking up my dog an hour after they opened. Couldn’t believe it. I’m being charged an extra day for checking out. Crazy!!! Won’t ever go back
