This was my first time stopping by this store and I got some good deals in the meat department, but the fruits and vegetables department wasn't the best quality. I will go back for the deal's they have on the boxed food, canned food and the fresh meat. This is an older store that doesn't offer a huge verity but does have good prices on what they do have!

Got a lot of things that I wanted to eat at very good prices. They just need a bigger produce section. My diet contains a lot of fresh veggies. Was wanting some turnips and Rutabagas but they didn't carry those.

Small store with limited products but reasonable prices. Friendly staff and great selection of meats at a good price, however prices have greatly increased at this store. 9.00 for a half gallon of ice cream.

Got a box of sausage from Save-A-Lot, get home to find mold all over it.. go all the time first bad experience. Hate I throw the sausage away before taking a picture.

I love shopping at save a lot and personally from now on since seeing they have a new manager in the meat department I refuse to get my meats anywhere else. He does an awesome job it seems he could definitly use more help though. Would be horrible to loose another good one due to lack of support. Hope they get him some good help soon.

One of two grocery stores in Elberton. The greatest advantage of going to Save-A-Lot is the money you save compared to high prices at Ingles! More advantages include a smaller store = smaller distance to walk, usually a quick check out, fresh produce and quality meat department. Some disadvantages = limited selection of items, the staff usually is talking and joking amongst themselves instead of paying attention to customers at check-out, majority of foods offered is not of the healthiest selection. The store carries mostly off-brand products, but there are some name brands present. The good thing is that many of the off-brand items are delicious - try the red beans and rice in the box! I've been told for years that the meat department is excellent! (Although I can't attest to that myself since I'm vegetarian.) The main reason I give this store 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the perceived cleanliness. I think the store actually does keep up with sweeping and mopping, but the outdated building really looks run down both on the inside and the outside making it seem much dirtier than it is. Another pet peeve of mine is dirty conveyor belts at check-out, and I always seem to end up at one that is dirty. Also the parking lot is always atrocious. I realize this is the fault to the customers and not the store, but it really does make for an unappetizing walk into the storefront.

I bought ten boxes of So Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese Dinner and every one of them had bugs in them. Brown shell casings floated to the top when boiling them in water. My daughter contacted the company and they sent us letter which states their strict guidelines, however they feel it could have occured during storage or at the warehouse after shipment. Just be aware when purchasing pasta/ grain products here. We realize these things can occur, but we're extra cautious now.

Awesome place to work, and shop. Very good products and low prices. Friendly and helpful staff. We are the only place in Elberton Ga with baby formula.

This store has good pricing on their canned goods but the meat department with constantly failing freezers makes buying meats to risky. Have found thawed frozen goods on numerous occasions.
