I was super excited to see a Dollar General so close to where I live. The first few months that they were open was great. The last few not so much. Shelves are empty for weeks of merchandise. Seems like a turn over weekly on personal. Today I went in to pick up a few things. Supposedly something was wrong with the cash register and it wouldn't open. The cashier never spoke or explained what was going on but she did have a long conversation with someone that I think was an employee from another store. Long story short I left my filled buggy at the register and walked out. I

The sales associate was alone on a very busy day and did not know how to use the app. She was beyond rude and acted as if it was my fault that the kiosk was not working and that she didn't know how to use the app. This whole experience was horrid for everyone but as a paying customer I found it to be beyond unacceptable. Don't put associates in positions where they feel overwhelmed and by all.means don't hire people to work with the public who have no customer service skills

I used DG pickup for the very first time today, assuming it was like Walmart and Kroger and brought out to the car. I was mistaken and apparently you have to go inside and get your order. Usually this wouldn’t be a problem, but I recently fractured my foot, and I had a sleeping baby in the car. It would have been nearly impossible to get my kids out of the car, hop in on one foot and get my things and back to the car safely. I called the store and told the lady who answered the phone what my situation was. She asked where I was parked and brought my things to me. I didn’t get her name but it was 10/25/2020 and my pickup was between 6-7 pm. I am so grateful for this kind lady, I really don’t know how I would have got my order if she hadn’t brought it too me. She did it without hesitation as well. Thank you so much

The place was a little congested because supplies were still in boxes. I picked a bad time and day. Usually no problems. This is the reason for a 4 stars rating.

This particular location is set up very well. Everything is nice and neat. Everything is easy to find.
