I come here three times a week to eat a salad every single time that I’ve came since public has been open. You guys are alway out of 3 main subs that are on your display broad. Havana Bold, Jerk turkey and chicken cordon bleu. The manager happen to walk by was stop by a Different customer ask her why every time they’re out everything. They always have to cut the meat because they’re always out. She replied, sorry he also asked the manager if there were more people working back there, because there was only one in the front, and he was taking forever. she said, I apologize, smiled, and walked away. every time I come up here it takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes just to make one salad. I also feel like every time they are making my salad. They’re making it with an attitude. Please address this asap.

The Publix associate, Omar, deserves Five stars!During lunch hour on a Saturday, Omar had very little help making sandwiches in the deli department. One lady from the hot meal area assisted him as best she could, but it was obvious that the deli manager hadn't properly staffed that area for a holiday weekend nor trained the ten+ employees working on how to step in to help with customers. While each employee was trying their best to get their job done, dozens of customers left the deli without a hot lunch or sub sandwiches because only one employee was assigned to subs and one to hot meals yet several were busy prepping so the subs could be made not knowing when to stop prep work to assist or how to assist without getting in the way. There was a lack of teamwork due to an obvious lack of training. I waited for 40 minutes for a non toasted roast beef which Omar made calmly and politely.The poor experience is why I gave the store 4 stars. My friend had to call the store to ask why no one would even acknowledge her waiting for a hot lunch plate, she'd waited at least 30 minutes. After calling, she was helped in 5 minutes, but had to wait on me.Just as I left, a manager appeared and just looked and laughed before walking off.From a customer point of view the management looked inept or incapable of properly scheduling staff and unconcerned about customer service or employee mental health. Poor training / management leads to unnecessary levels of employee stress which leads to a lack of employee retention.Omar showed exemplary social skills, patience, and skill at his job, but will he stay under those conditions?

I’m from Central Florida where we have 2 to 5 Publix in each major city, and we’ve lived in Douglas for 13 years now. This place is beautiful and has a great set up but the down side is that it smells of old seafood and cat urine mixed. Kinda makes me gag when we walk in. Got to try and speed walk in and get what we can get, pay for and get out as quick as possible. Technically not a great shopping experience there so far.

I don't think that I can say enough good things about this store. I had never been to a Publix before, so I guess that I looked a little lost. An employee in the bakery noticed me and asked if I needed any help. Once I told her that this was my first time in a Publix store she took off her gloves and came out to show me a few things in the area and she also explained store policy for things such as returns. I never encountered a single employee who was not pleasant and helpful. Based on this experience I don't believe that I would ever buy groceries anywhere else if I lived in Douglas. Unfortunately, I live in a town with no local Publix store, but I may very well make the drive from time to time.

There still seems to be a lot of issues with products being in the right place esp in fresh meats area. Employees apparently loaded up the BOGO Chicken breast section at the end of the frozen foods area with Chicken breast filets. The chicken breast filets were not on BOGO apparently. Many of their meats on sale do not match up with the sale signs- sign is here, actual item further down.Like others, i have also ran into the issue in the deli sub area where they don't want to slice more meat while making subs - or cheese. They will just tell you they are out. This happened last week while ordering a sub and they didn't have the cheese so I had to pick something else then another person orders from a different employee and that employee is like "Oh, let me go cut some more" and does that for the other customer.The bags of Salad from here doesn't not last has long as other publix stores. I think they are jamming the bags in there to push the spring loaded trays back as they add each bag. This is what they do at Walmart that causes the produce to go bad faster and I have seen some employees doing that at the Douglas Publix as well.So, I may have to return to buying at Tifton's Publix because it is only a little further away for me. Maybe in 3-6 months they will figure out what they are doing and get better organized.

Had a fantastic experience. I'm so happy to see that Douglas now has a Publix, I love the deli and selection and the specials that they offer, this visited the new store and it is pristine. , definitely recommend if you are in the Douglas Georgia area for groceries top notch

So many keto/carb-smart options available. I was especially surprised about the variety of ice cream they have for carb conscious folks, like myself.Met the awesome managers and pharmacists 👍Was able to request an item they didn't have in stock.Super friendly people ☺️This store is a hit 🎯💯

Love Publix.... Only problem I have is when ordering sub sandwiches ahead of time thru app... Most of the time they are late putting them out (over 30min past pick up time) ... Reason I order my sub's that way is so I don't have to wait and just grab and continue busy day so the extra wait past time is a big inconvenience

We've waited so long for a Publix. I love this place; from the subs to the pizza dough to the fresh seafood. Shopping bogo on their app will make it less painful.
