We enjoyed our dinner, and our server was great! He took great care of us. My only complaint was the seafood, I love fried shrimp, but not these. They just didn't have a good flavor, and the batter was not that good. The fried catfish was okay, but not much of it.I really liked the mac and cheese, cabbage casserole, and the lima beans. I really liked the broccoli too.

**The Dillard House Review: 5/5 Stars**Nestled in Dillard, GA, The Dillard House is the ultimate haven for Southern breakfast enthusiasts. The rustic charm welcomes you, setting the stage for a culinary experience that goes beyond expectations. With a set menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, today's offerings are elegantly presented on a wooden board at the entrance, eliminating the need for paper menus.Opting for the $20 per person All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) breakfast, my dining experience exceeded all expectations. Despite our late arrival, the servers seamlessly brought out a tray of hot, fresh delights, and the family-style servings ensured that no one left the table hungry. The option for seconds and the provision of to-go boxes showcased the establishment's commitment to guest satisfaction. The breakfast spread was a revelation—fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, and the standout corn grits, perfectly seasoned to perfection, exemplified the kitchen's dedication to quality. Even at the end of the breakfast hour, the attention to freshness and flavor was unmistakable.Service at The Dillard House was impeccable, with the staff managing the transition to the lunch menu without making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. The overall atmosphere allowed us to savor each moment, making the dining experience truly memorable.Beyond the exceptional dining, The Dillard House delights visitors with a charming shop inside, offering a tempting array of Southern-style goods, including biscuit mix, hot sauce, syrups, jams, and candies. This thoughtful addition allows patrons to take a piece of Southern goodness home, extending the experience beyond the dining table. In conclusion, The Dillard House is a culinary gem that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. From outstanding service to impeccable food quality and the added charm of the Southern goods shop, it's a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic and delightful Southern breakfast experience.

Amazing food and service is a hallmark of Dillard House and I am so happy to find it has not changed in the years since our last visit.Fried chicken, fried fish, lima beans, broccoli, macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, cabbage, cole slaw, tomato salad, hushpuppies, and apple crumble was the lunch menu when we went on this day. Additionally, there was a bread basket with a few different offerings. They offered a second round of everything, which we refused, opting just to get refills on the fish, creamed corn, and lima beans. Not that there was anything wrong with the rest, we just didn't have a way to bring it home with us the three or more hours we still had to travel and we didn't want it wasted. If you have people who have never gone to a restaurant that serves "family style" then you should bring them here! My sister-in-law had no idea and her mouth fell open when a tray full of everything showed up at our table!

Family style dinning at its best!!! I never leave hungry. Great Southern favorites. I visit twice a year and I’ve never been disappointed. Well priced considering the amount of food -definitely worth the money. If traveling through North GA, I highly recommend giving Dillard House a try!!Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is all one level. Wide halls and easy to get in the building and to the dinning tables. Wheelchair friendly for sure.

This was my first time here and despite the beautiful location and friendly staff the food was very mediocre for the price. They laid down some coleslaw on our table when we sat down that looked like it was already served to another table. One of the servers quickly swapped it out. The place itself is a little dated, but was nicely decorated for the Holidays. Most of the food was hot and fresh, but bland. The country ham though tasted as it was rubbed in salt. We were told they had lemon pie for dessert, but it ended up being coconut cream. The sever was perplexed lol. If you’re starving and want to eat a ton of food check it out, but other than that it’s very average.

I have fond Memories of coming here so I was excited to comeback and enjoy their friendly hospitality! My lunch was excellent farm to table fresh meals! The view is amazing located in the mountains with views of the crops, and the pastures as far as the eye can see! The trees and the White Hydrangea flowers are stunning! Love that they also have a petting zoo, horseback riding, and a wonderful location to stay !Vegetarian options: Totally love the green beans and the tomato cucumber salad!

A family style restaurant. There is a set menu for the day, and it is served family style. The food was all very good, and the server checked back regularly 👌My only complaint would be that we were told, whatever we didn't eat, we could take home.We asked for containers and did not see our server again. Overall, for the quality of the food and service, for the most part, it was a good dining experience, and I would go back and recommend this place to friends and family.

This is a great “family style” restaurant which means you only order your beverage and then the meal of the day is brought out in bowls and on plates. Today’s menu was fried chicken, fried catfish, Mac n cheese, corn on the cob, Lima beans, hush puppies, broccoli, coleslaw, country rolls, cornbread, and apple Betty for dessert. It’s a lot of food and you may need some to-go boxes. The Dillard House has over 100 years of interesting history on the walls, and that’s neat to read about.

Came to dinner here while on vacation. Excellent dinner we had. Amazing homemade southern cooking. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff. Plenty of food, if I’d of known you got some much I’d of saved my appetite for the whole day. Will be trying out for breakfast tomorrow morning.Breakfast was amazing!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. All the tradition sides were served beside turkey, ham & pork. Plenty of food served family style.

I had higher expectations based on the location and building. But the food was obviously reheated, probably made the day before. The fried chicken skin was so chewy I had to pull it off just leaving reheated chicken meat. The sides were under seasoned and also reheated. The experience, everyone sits and they just start bringing out food is nice. Service is fast. Pricing is responsible. I just wish they could do it with better meals.

Terrible experience today. Have been talking about bringing my wife here for years. Finally make it on our 20 year anniversary trip, ate on Thursday Nov 23. We got sat at table 81 at 12:30. The sun was beating through the windows like a magnifying glass on an ant hill. We asked our server and the hostess if we could move and they both said no, my wife had to partially disrobe to stay even somewhat cool. The side of my face and neck were sweating. Being hot and sweaty trying to eat makes for a terrible experience. We scarfed down some food since we paid so much and left in under 45 minutes. I didn’t want desert I had gotten so overheated. Pictures attached are of the sun and the tables that sat empty the entire time we were there. Thanks for nothing Dillard house staff.

Wonderful place for a home cooked southern style meal with lots of options and it is all you can eat. You will be seated and then about 15 minutes after being seated they bring out a table of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful place for a family outing, especially in the fall, beautiful surroundings and lots of places outside for photos. I personally didn’t eat the food (due to food allergies but I was still happy to come along with my family) but I figured I would be charged for my plate and was expecting to be charged but the waitress noticed I didn’t eat and did not charge me for myself. Great place and will be bringing back my family since they enjoyed it so much. It was 69.00 for 2 buffets and 3 drinks.

It is $65 for two ppl to dine here. The menu is black eye peas, collard green, cream corn, carrot soufflé, corn bread, biscuit, fried chicken breast, smoked ribs, apple cobbler, sweet tea. Extensive wait for service for the entire duration of our meal. Seating temp for tables next to the windows was uncomfortable when the sun is beating in.Parking: Parking across the street for overflow

The registration was smooth, but the lady at the window gave us the impression we were getting a discount at the rate of $119 a night, but that is your regular rate for this season of the year. The room was comfortably big, but the bathroom was too small, we could barely turn around in it. On Friday, the 22nd we had to listen to a loud pump running for four hours. The view was spectacular, but barely got to see the horses at all while staying on the meadow rooms. They said there would be shrimp and catfish for Friday's menu, but they served only fried chicken and catfish. No potatoes or green beans, but the slaw was amazing. Biscuits were also delicious as well as the baked Mac & cheese. Fried Okra was perfect.

Went here for the first time about 40 years ago. It was wonderful, a great dining experience. Today it is nothing like what it was back when the Dillard family owned it. If you order a beverage you’re gonna pay over $30 for a meal that’s just not worth it. The menu included country steak and fried chicken as the entrées, and said country ham on request. Of course when we requested it we were told they didn’t have any. They don’t even bring butter or any type of jam With the bread. Back in the day you had several choices to choose from. I suppose if you had never been here in years past, you might enjoy the experience. But if you’ve been here before and hadn’t been for several years and came back thinking you were going to get the same thing, thinking again. The staff, while I can’t say they were unfriendly, just really didn’t seem to care.

Definitely was an experience! The views are gorgeous, the horses are beautiful, and feeding the longhorn was definitely wild! I would come back. We stayed in the king suite with an fireplace which was breathtaking. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub!The food was good, our fried chicken was underdone, but the sides were good.

My first time coming to this establishment on July 4th , 2023. The live music fromHunter Grayson was spot on ! We paid for the BBQ Picnic . The setup outside was really nice . The weather was beautiful until the wind picked up and it started to rain . They have a firework show starting at dusk . I’m sure that would’ve been nice but once the rain hit we left . It’s roughly about 2 hours outside of Atlanta , GA. It’s a small town so they do have many amenities while waiting on dinner to start . However being that it was a holiday , a lot of the shops were closed . They do have horse back riding lessons and a small farm zoo. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the buffet went on from 5:30 to 8:00 was the last call. And the dessert table was full and had multiple options . This is also separate from the main restaurant . The main restaurant had a different menu and separate price . It was an experience .. and I recommend to all .

I had eaten at this restaurant several years ago. At that time, I had to wait in line to get in. That's how crowded it was. The wait was worth it. The food was delicious. My most recent visit was completely opposite of the first. This time, there was not a line. Everything, except the service and fried chicken, was horrible! Although the chicken wasn't seasoned, at least it was hot. Everything else was bland and cold. Because I had invited my family to dinner and we drove almost 2 hours to get there, I was embarrassed and very disappointed. I don't see me ever going back, and if it's a good meal that you are craving, I don't recommend that you go here.

The view is beautiful here. The outer walls are lined with windows so you can see the mountains. The restaurant itself is pretty and a bit rustic. There is a gift shop as well. There is ample parking and the grounds are very pretty. When we arrived, someone was going to seat us. We had to wait for multiple people to exit through the door where we were entering. The gentleman who was seating us just walked off and was on the other side of the restaurant without ever looking back to see if we were with him. No one asked if we wanted everything on the menu. Someone just came along with a tray of food and sat all the bowls down on the table. I was very underwhelmed with the quality of the food. The fried chicken was soaked in grease. I can get better fried chicken at Publix. The ribs were very good. There was an acorn squash casserole that tasted like they simply baked the squash and threw some coconut in it. The cabbage casserole was simply shredded cabbage and had globs of cheese mixed in. I could get better vegetables than this at Cracker Barrel or probably even on the buffet at the Western Sizzlin or Golden Corral. The fried okra was also exceptionally greasy. The rolls and corn muffins were the best. We had to ask for napkins. We had to ask for butter for the bread. We had to ask for tea refills. One server seemed very agitated and had a serious scowl on her face. The strawberry cobbler was the worst. It was frozen strawberries with added sugar and what appeared to sort of be a roll on top. It was inedible. Since they serve the food to you, you have the option to take home the leftovers. I, myself, would not have taken them, but my husband said he would eat it. We had to ask for to go containers and then had to ask for a bag to carry the containers in. I was very disappointed in the food and not elated with the level of service either. If I want southern style food again, I will head south to Jackson, GA and go to Buckners.I was so excited to go to the Dillard House and have heard rave reviews about it for years. I won't be going back. It is 27.95 per person. I can eat at many other restaurants for that price and actually enjoy my food. This wasn't worth it to me at all. It seems many people left a large portion of the food on the tables when they left. That amount of waste drives up the price. If they ask people ahead of time if there is something that they don't want, it might save the restaurant some money and could save the patrons a few dollars per person.
