Beautiful venue. Food, service, and atmosphere were great. There is outdoor seating as well, along with a boutique store with clothing and other gift type goodies. Great for events with rental cottages available.Dietary restrictions: They were able to offer gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: There are a few animals on the property, and kids were feeding the ducks on the pond.

We have wanted to go to Julep Farms for quite a while and decided that would be a great place to celebrate my husband’s birthday, so we went for dinner.Driving up to the property, there are cozy, new cabins, animals, pastures and gardens. Entering, we walked through a shop with cool and unique items and gift ideas, including beautiful jewelry, clothing, glass and barware, interesting books and all kinds of entertaining items that you never knew you needed but you actually do! There’s a coffee shop and pastries as well that I will definitely have to check out!The dining room is beautiful and comfortable. We were able to carry on a conversation which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is relaxing and spacious with tall ceilings, an inviting bar and a beautiful fireplace which was elegantly decorated for the holidays. The views did not disappoint with mountains and a beautiful sky during sunset as the backdrop.This is also a venue for weddings and other celebrations, but it never felt “venue-y”. The aesthetics, architecture and landscaping were well appointed, upscale and thoughtfully placed. Beautiful environment.Bren was our waitress and she was super nice, present and did not rush us at any time. We appreciate her genuine personality and eye contact! She described the specials, gave us a moment to peruse the menu (everything looks absolutely amazing) and brought back a nice glass of Aviary Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Delicious! By the way, if you buy a bottle of wine and do not finish it, you can take it home with you. I believe that’s what I was told and I think that is super cool!We had the Brie appetizer which consisted of smoked walnuts, toasted almonds, pecans, fig and cherry jam, pomegranate, and honey molasses, with grilled ciabatta bread, which was phenomenal. I am still craving! For dinner we had creamy beef and wild mushroom ravioli with a parmesan cream sauce and spinach and chicken paillard with sage brown butter, parmesan gnocchi and sautéed kale. We both got very quiet as we shared and enjoyed the flavors from our main course. Everything was cooked to perfection! Thank you Chef!To commemorate my husband‘s birthday, Bren brought out chess pie with whipped cream and strawberries, which was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to finish our meal.We met the owner, Lauren and the Manager, Jeff, both were very personable and kind. Jeff checked in on us to see how things were. No complaints here! Everyone was so accommodating and easy to talk with. It felt like we were enjoying an amazing dinner at a good friends house. So comfortable.The entire experience from the moment we walked in the front door until we left completely satisfied was such a treat!Thank you Julep Farms for making my husband’s day so special! We will definitely be back for date night, when friends come in town and when we want to pop in and hang out at the bar for a nice cocktail.By far, from Clayton and Franklin up to Highlands and Cashiers, Julep Farms is our favorite restaurant. We WILL be back!

We had a lovely time and a wonderful lunch here! Every food and drink item we ordered was divine including the lavender lemonade, sweet tea, truffle fries, chicken salad sandwich and Mac and cheese. Our waitress Bren was kind, attentive and very helpful. The view is absolutely stunning, which can be especially enjoyed in the outdoor seating area. All around a perfect experience!

What a delicious and delightful time we had for lunch today at Julep Farms! The mushroom ravioli was outstanding but the service by Kyndal made it all extra special. He was pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and attentive (even with several tables all our needs were met in a timely manner and our water glasses were never empty). Certainly a highlight of our girls' trip. We'll be back!

Make this one of your experiences if you are in the area. Absolutely beautiful views and the food is delicious. Our server Kyndal was attentive and made the whole experience enjoyable. After we ate we went and saw the ponies and were able to pet them. The store has unique items to bring back home or enjoy if you live in the area.Vegetarian options: Appetizer, Squash ravioli, salads and pizza.

The atmosphere is great and the view is beautiful. I loved walking around the property after dinner. However, my husband and I weren't impressed with the food. The plates were delivered to us without first being wiped so there were specks of sauce and even a fingerprint on my husband's plate (only got a photo of my dinner). I had the duck which was good but I expected more for the money. My husband had the lamb special which was overcooked (no pink at all). The taste was good just not great.

Wonderful anniversary weekend!We dined at Julep Kitchen several times over a weekend in October. Everything was just perfect. The drinks, shrimp and grits, the crawfish fritters and the desserts were all really good. The carrots and Brussels stole the show! We also stayed in one of their cottages which was very nice and super convenient to most of the area attractions including a quick 25 minute drive to Highlands. Rick,Lauren and the whole staff were all very nice and accommodating. Thanks again.

10 of us went to the Social House for lunch at Julep Kitchen, to check it out, and we were all glad that we did!We had a variety of the menu options: Parmesan and Truffle Fries, Mixed olives in Herb butter, NC Smoked Trout Dip, Chicken Salad Croissant, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Gigi’s Brie and Bacon Sandwich, Mojo Pork Sandwich, Shrimp and Grits, and a burger. We also had some Bread Pudding for dessert. Very good stuff! The silver cup in one of the pictures is a Rosemary Lemonade Julep, the chocolate swirled whipped cream in a glass is the Chocolatini. Yummy!The food was all very good and appropriately priced for the quality of food, atmosphere, and presentations. The staff was very friendly and caring. The attached shop is addicting with all of the cool stuff that you will want to take home!They deliver the check in books that diners have made comments in, which is very cool!We loved the grounds and buildings. Very well kept, warm and welcoming.I don’t live nearby, but next time I am in the neighborhood I will definitely stop by for another fantastic time and meal!

We had brunch this past Sunday. Dinner was amazingly delicious on Saturday evening. Brunch the following day was not good at all, other than the fruit. The quiche was disappointing, with way too many potatoes, not enough eggs or milk/cream. Our waiter Sunday, Chris W. was excellent! I’d love to say the total experience was amazing but it wasn’t.

While we have had wonderful lunches on the porch here before, last night was our first dinner. The food was off the chart delicious, the service was spot on, and the atmosphere and views were exceptional, as always. We had the shrimp and lollypop lamb chop appetizers - enough for a delectable light supper. I might add that their jalapeño margarita was a fresh twist on an old favorite that I’ll be back for. Stop in and see if I’m right!

I'm a big foodie and we eat out frequently but we usually eat at home because our food is usually much better. But WOW was I suprised. Ambiance and wait staff was amazing. Owner came out and asked if everything was good and of course it was. We had the shrimp and grits and it was amazing and my wife had the waffle and chicken which was off the chain. My son had the pimento bacon cheeseburger and loved it and he's picky. We will DEFINITELY be coming back. Desert was fantastic

After driving by this place many times, we just stopped for lunch. So glad we did. Food is exceptional. Chicken pesto pasta very light and freshly made pesto sauce. Shrimp and grits with Cajun season. Phenomenal! Highly recommend trying it if you’re into spicy food. Stop in, you won’t regret it.
