I was a little worried when this restaurant was purchased by Fred. It took me a few months to realize he’s doing no more than updating everything and keeping the food as good as it’s always been. The service is top-notch along with the great country soul food cooking like my grandmother did. The cakes and pies are just like the ones we had back when I was a child in the 60s. I recommend this place for everyone who makes a trip through Dillard Georgia whether you’re going or coming back from somewhere make sure you stop in.

So, what can you do for Charlene on a Sunday? Just pay your bill!Food was fantastic, service was timely, and the place is well appointed.Banana pudding. (Get some!) The chocolate fudge cake was also mind blowing! (Eat dessert first! LOL)We had Catfish, trout, hushpuppies, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, and salad bar. Only let down in our book was the hushpuppies just weren't super flavorful... maybe more onion and a bit more salt? They were prepped and cooked very nicely, loved the size and color, just... something...The gift store was beautiful and we got a couple things. Certainly appreciated the Christian items... even got a color primer for our new nephew that uses Psalm 23!

Me and my wife went back in late September of ‘23. First time customers. The food was fabulous. Plan on going back very soon. Another well known competitor of this diner in town we have frequented over the years has tilted more down hill on the taste and increasing prices on an already high bill. This Cafe is better than the bigger restaurant. Food is better and the prices are very reasonable. (A+)Parking: Fills up fast so be early

Food was delish! Service was good, very attentive and helpful with menu questions. The chicken pot pie was really tasty - it comes like a thick vegetable/pea soup with large chunks of chicken and a huge chunks of chicken. I have the fancy potatoes and veg of the day, which was cabbage - mmmm. Hubby had the liver and onions with baked potatoe and green beans - also mmmm. We had coffee for drinks and was surprisingly good coffee. The house biscuits/scones were fab. Treated the eyes but not the belly to the cakes - ooof need to save some room for those!Parking: Plenty of spots but it was early so may struggle to find a spot if in peak times.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options on the menu and some child-specific dishes but if they get the adult meals, these are very large!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and level entrance but may struggle to open doors if on your open as no way to let people inside know you are there if they don't see you. They have tables and booths so options for patrons with various wheelchairs. The store is relatively spacious so can imagine a buggy and wheel chair making it through there ok.

Had a great time with my family. We were greeted with a smile and we felt like we were at home. The catfish, Reuben, and hamburger steak were all amazing. You have to have the fresh cut fries, Mac and cheese, and the black eyed peas. Almost forgot the cheddar biscuits! Ended with the $1,000,000 pound cake which was worth it…. We will be back.

Variety of southern food... plenty of vegetable sides to choose. Squash casserole and smoky mountain chicken were flavorful and the chicken was excellent. Dogs allowed on large covered porch.

Absolutely love their cucumber salad but also Blue Ridge Chicken, Lemon pepper chicken, fried okra, & fresh veggies! My favorite breakfast used to be the chick a dee hash but I'm not sure if they still serve it under the new ownership.Vegetarian options: Veggie plate & salad bar

Everytime before this one was excellent, however this time its like someone took over the restaurant and changed stuff that should not have been. The food was not up to par in example the chicken tenders were my daughters favorite part of visiting the area but they were changed and ruined. The wait was ridiculous mainly after being seated and ordering. It was not as clean as it has always been either.

I ate here with my aunt on a day trip a couple of weeks ago. It was my first visit but she had been here several times. Very good food and large portions. I had the vegetable plate and she had the lemon pepper chicken. Best squash casserole I ever had! Banana pudding looked like mama used to make. I will definitely save room for that next time. We enjoyed it so much we looked at a paper menu we picked up & have already planned what we want to order next time. LOL.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Yes, it's that good. I've eaten here two days in a row! Delmonico ribeye for dinner last night. Cooked perfectly. Thursday's special today. Pot Roast. As they say, "Just like your mama used to make"! Delicious! Great service too! Ask for Madison. She's awesome!Oh! Their key lime pie is to die for! 😋

Internet says many items gluten free. Not so. No more than any other breakfast restaurants. No GF bread or pancakes. Of course eggs, sausage, grits are GF anywhere. There was "Nothing" specifically GF as the internet said. My husband ordered strawberry pancakes, thought it would have strawberries in the mix. No, regular pancakes with 1/2 sliced strawberry on top with regular syrup.

This restaurant was always a favorite when I went to Rabun Gap In the late 90’s. They still have the best cheese biscuits and service. Today I had the country fried steak and it was so good. I am so happy so got to share this restaurant with my kids. We also got some fudge on our way out.

We make it to the Dillard area very summer and the Cupboard is on our list of must eat places. The service is friendly and the menu has a wide variety of southern cooking. My go to dish is fried chicken livers. They have a little shopping area at the front which gives it a Cracker Barrel kind of feel. Near the register in the front they have a large jar filled with water and a shot glass in the bottom. You drop a coin and try to hit the shot glass. It’s fun for the kids if they win a cookie or some fudge. If they don’t, all the money in the jar gets donated to charity.
