Looking forward to my return 😃 This is one of my fav 🌈campgrounds of a dozen I have visited.I've been to four others in the SE, but this is the most beautiful property with the most unique resident structures.😀It also has the best rustic campsites⛺ and cabins of anywhere I've been,🤩 right on the river!Beautiful swimming pool area🏊♂️ Even has a snack shop, but it was not open at the time I visited. A hot tub open all night. They have facilities for large group events. The entry/exit is a very tight one lane squeeze,😣 But it's doable.😜Restrooms: Clean and well maintained with showers 🚿Dog-friendliness: Everybody has a dog in places like this I did not see a separate dog park but they're certainly plenty of places to walk them.Picnic area: Large picnic area and group building nearby the pool facilities

Wonderful campsite. Good amenities, liked the hot tub and the atmosphere. Very friendly staff and guests; I felt welcome. Some of the bathrooms could use an upgrade, but that's a minor complaint.

Beautiful campground with a nice swimming pool and an absolutely gorgeous hot tub building. I stayed in the cabin called treehouse. A custom-made cabin by a prior seasonal tenant. The most beautiful cabin I ever stayed in. It has a view to a little river that runs right by it. Multiple old style Windows surround the cabin and offer a 360-degree view to the beautiful forest. One oddity with this cabin is that it has a little convection oven instead of a microwave. Keep that in mind when bringing food. The food stand by the pool has only a very minimal selection of snacks and snack foods. So keep in mind to bring your own food and beverages.

First time camper, FYI I stayed in a cabin, This campground is simply perfect. Between the beautiful grounds, and the sense of community I am now planning my retirement here. I love the way all are included like we were long time friends or even family. This was a trip of a life time.

Well-managed place. Everyone was friendly and very professional. I needed a place a week before Christmas and was fortunate to find a cabin here. It was my first visit, and despite there not being many people around, the staff were warm and attentive. Big shout to Tasha and Lucas. Thank you. I plan to return soon.

It's likely one of the best LGBTQ+ campgrounds I have camped at. Staff is always helpful. The facilities are cleaned frequently, which is, in my opinion, vital when tent camping. The cabin vary is sizes which is another great factor. You can go from full on glamping to primitive tent style.Restrooms: Clean, and if found in a substandard condition, the staff is quickly to address.

Topher's dedication and hard work have truly transformed Rivers Edge Campground into a haven. His efforts have made a profound impact, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am grateful for Topher's contributions and eagerly anticipate the joy of the pool opening. Thank you, Topher, for making this campground a special place.

Great place to get away from home and do some camping! If you’re not into the roughing it scene, there are cabins available for rent. Bathroom/showering facilities range from shared to completely private in the top level cabins. One thing to note is a membership is required and is good for a year. Day passes are also available so anyone can enjoy the fun and festivities regardless of if you spend the night or not.

Came with a well know group from Atlanta for the Memorial Day weekend. From the start of the weekend to the final lunch on Monday, TRE was truly phenomenal.I grew up camping and was a counselor for years at a summer camp near Asheville. I loved those years in my life and always wanted an “adult” version of that. TRE is truly a spectacular and special place. The staff are warm, welcoming, and love getting to know people- truly know their story and their lives. The people that are regulars, live there year round, or are just there for a weekend are another wonderful takeaway. The behinds the scene staffers truly make this place stand out and above the rest. I can’t say enough about how important they are!For my “rookie” weekend I now to go easy on the punch, bring food for breakfast to be a good guest, drink water, and thank your staff! Can’t wait to come back in July!

Stayed for a week. This place is cleaner, and better maintained than most family campgrounds I've been too. Super nice, the cabins are all different and cute as hell, nestled in the woods. I'll be back.

Absolutely great place to go spend the weekend or holiday. Place is tons of fun, beautiful, and staff are fun to talk to, Manager is a very sweet guy, and there is a lot to do and so many lovely people to meet. best lgtb centered camping spot in georgia.Dewy rose gets a lot of rain, but so worth getting in when you can. Tip be friendly to everyone, and be kind and tidy up after yourself. The cleaning staff are people too.

We live in Michigan and come down to visit family in South Carolina for the holidays and stay from mid December to mid January. Spend hours on the trails walking the dog or soaking in the Jacuzzi. We come during the off-season, so the pool isn't open, but that's understandable. Had a great time @ the New Year's Eve party! Everything is always clean, maintained, and well kept. THANK YOU to the staff for keeping the showers & bathrooms clean and fresh! Best looking cabins I've seen. Larger ones have kitchenettes. Great break from a Michigan winter! We'll be back next December!Restrooms: Cleaned and sanitized DAILY.Dog-friendliness: Your doggies will have a great time walking the trails or even wading in the stream.Picnic area: Every site has a picnic table and fire ring.

Everyone I encountered was nice & friendly. The grounds were nice to walk not many spider webs. The pool was nice & clean. The office was also neat & tidy. I did find a wasp in my cabin and the cabin with bathroom you to go outside because it's attached with no entry from inside.🏳️🌈

Pros - Everything is very nice and well maintained. Beautiful property. Showers nice with great pressure and very hot water.Cons - Overpriced. Most camps charge for more than two per site, they charge for more than one. No cover on electric pole, we plugged up in the rain standing in water. No sewage. One dump station that blocks the shower/bathhouse and you have to snake thru parked cars and low limbs. The hot tub was broke for most of the weekend. One of the arms that people left their water hose running all night was just added to the rain that flooded our site. We were supposed to be able to pull straight through our site however one of the regular campers kept parking their truck on the other side of their camper so they wouldn't have to step out in mud which blocked everyone from pulling straight out. Of course when we got ready to leave they were nowhere to be found. Everyone was semi friendly with just a wave or a hello but not much more than that.

Was totally nervous at first as this was my first experience like this. Yet, from the start Topher was amazing when I called to reserve! Dan at check-in was super helpful as well! CLEAN bathhouses!!! The grounds were very well maintained as well! Nice people! The hot tub was out of service which was fine with us cause we weren't planning to use it anyway.Already planning to return later in the summer!Definitely be mindful of the Punch!!!!

First time staying at TRE (or any gay clothing optional campground for that matter). I was intimidated at first being there but that quickly went away. Everyone I met there was exceptionaly nice, friendly, and welcoming. The camping spot I reserved had water and power hookups. The pool, hot tub and parties were great. Facilities are clean. Will be going back for sure.

I love this place. I rented the cabin on the hill at the end. My whole weekend I slept because it was so peaceful. The next morning I topped it off with coffee on the porch then I got in the jacuzzi and showered in the public showers. I was well rested and ready for my Monday. Everyone was so friendly. Beautiful place and scenery at night.

I have going to this campus for many years, my husband and I had been in a few others but without any doubt this is the best place, experience and services we have had. Campus is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff is the best, super friendly and approachable. People who lives there and staffs members host a diversity of unique events from, holidays celebration, dinners, parties, weddings, meet and greet, volley ball competitions or a simple fire pit with your new and old friend.

This is the first time I've gone on a weekend. It's not for me, way too noisy. Down the hill from where I camped, on Mimosa dr was a party residence, they were very loud, way into the early morning, even on Sunday night. Glad I had earplugs. Admittedly, the staff here are wonderful,. The pool, hot tub and bathroom facilities are spotless. If you want to camp, read, relax and have a good night's sleep, this campground is not for you. If you want to party, you came to the right place.

This is an awesome space for grown and sexy adults of the LGBTQIA+ Communities. This is an awesome and amazing vibe. Clothing optional, consent is the number one rule here. There are rules for guidance towards an amazing and safe experience. There's a pool where most meet and greet. We play volleyball on even hours generally 12p, 2p, 4p and odd hours are for general swimmingThere are about 3 bathhouses (showers for campers) with outdoor showers as well. The staff are a riot and just really amazing. Beautiful personalities, funny, witty, energetic, organized, etcetera..This is a safe space for relaxation, networking and connection, activities, such as karaoke, dance parties, trail hiking.BYOBBe prepared to camp and enjoy yourselves, bring bug spray and an amazing attitude. It's well worth itIt's recommended, but not mandatory, to bringing open minded and good hearted camping friends along. There are hook ups and space for campers, but you must reserve space ahead of time. The neighbors are super friendly. Open air, trees, bushes, fresh air, just a lovely environment and safe haven for the LGBTQIA Communities and friends/allies.

The River's Edge is a great escape for those LGBTQ+ guys who like the great outdoors as well as those great outdoorsmen to enjoy them with. This is a mostly male marketed and gay friendly and gay encouraged campgrounds. You must give it a try if you're a gay guy in the area.

I have been coming here for more than 20 years, and the last 8 years have been excellent. What the consortium of owners and board members have done with their investment has hit the mark fully. If I was pressed to recommend an up grade in the sleeper cabins would be to up grade the curtains, add two more pillows for the beds. This is not a complaint about the two pillows, just a recommendation. The experience is like no other and I for one am grateful for TRE. Cinnamon loves seeing her former home when we visit. Thank you all for the hospitality.

It's our home away from home and a safe haven to escape and unwind. We've made so many great friends here over the years, and make new ones every time we stay. The 70acre campground is mostly wooded with over 200 tent & RV sites, and more than 30 sleeper cabins and other indoor accommodations. Scattered throughout are dozens of permanent sites with nice landscaping and buildovers; several are full-time residents. We enjoy the year-round calendar of social & holiday events, especially Trailer Trash and Memorial Day, but the quieter weekends can be just as much fun. Come hang out with the "regulars" during the colder months and enjoy an old fashioned potluck & campfire.
