We visited Deep South Cheese and Grill for the first time today. The restaurant is small, but the food is definitely good. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, a patty melt with fries, and an order of cheese curds. The burger and the patty melt were great, but we found the cheese curds lacking. To us, they lacked flavor. We’re used to cheese curds from The Cookout or from Wisconsin (ordered online). These were different, and we simply didn’t care for them. To others, they be delicious.The cheeseburger and patty melt may have us returning soon. We’ll just make sure to pass on the $4 cheese curds if we do.

They were out of cheese curds today, which was the only reason we stopped. We opted out for the burger because we love small town restaurants. It was more of a pressed patty like Wendy's, I was hoping for a more handpressed since it's not a chain restaurant.Parking: Limited parking.

I found this restaurant on Google Maps. While researching around the area for a road trip to view fall foliage. This is a cozyrestaurant just off the highway in Deering, Georgia, with about five tables as you come in the front door with a counter just beyond the tables.The restaurant is decorated with dairy related and patriotic items. The two ladies taking orders were friendly and willing to talk about the restaurant and menu items. The menu has a variety of dishes. one of them being an interesting dish called Poutine(a mix of meat, fries.cheese curds and gravy)There were several unique variations of hamburgers and other sandwiches. And, j as the name indicates, there were cheese curds locally made, for sale. I ordered and would highly recommend the Mega Melt and onion rings. This establishment is very supportive of the Military and the food is delicious.Deep South Cheese and Grill would be a very good choice for a lunch. stop to eat in or to take out

One of, if not, the best restaurant that I’ve ever been to. Throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner you get consistently amazing service and food. Although I have yet to try some options, I am happy to say that it will nonetheless be wonderful. From the juicy burgers to the fresh fries, this business takes its food seriously. And what to say about the staff, they are the best people all around. Whether you’re a regular or first-time patron, they will always greet you as if you were one of their own. The atmosphere is very comforting and warm, mainly from gorgeous decorations and rustic styling. Parking can be tricky, but all it takes is effort which pays off in the end. Overall, this is one of the pinnacles of southern dining that will withstand for times to come.

Small town charm, friendly service, GREAT FOOD!We had the poutine, a chicken club, the biggest cheeseburger ever w/ a side of onion rings. Everything was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals.Very reasonable prices. Food was fresh, hot, delicious!Wheelchair accessibility: There was at least one handicap parking spot. Tables placed far enough apart to accommodate a wheelchair or Walker. Handicap restroom facilities.

Love everything about this hidden gem. The burger was 10/10! The atmosphere was really one of my favorite parts. It’s quaint and the ladies working there were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning.Parking: I noticed parking was limited, but people were parked across the street without issue.

This is an amazing little gem! Their poutine is phenomenal (especially the classic), and the hot dogs and burgers are delicious. The owners are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a sweet southern charm to it. It’s a little out of the way for those who live in the Augusta/North Augusta area, but it’s well worth the drive!

Love eating here! The food is great and the workers make you feel like family. If you’re ever looking for good food either dine in or Togo I highly suggest them! They are quick and oh so good! My kids love it too!Kid-friendliness: The staff is super nice with kids and they have kid menu. My kids are picky eating out at so many places but love coming there and always eat all their food. And never leave without a good laugh & worms in dirt for dessert (their favorite)!

The service is excellent and the food is phenomenal.I got the Cattlemen Poutine the first time and the Kitchen Sink Poutine when I came back. Both were amazing, rich in flavor and texture. My wife got the Tammy Dog and my dad got the Deep South Burger. They said both were delicious and filling, and coming from my dad that's really saying something. All in all, I got more than we could eat with some house-made cheese curds to take home for less than 40 for 4 people.Great food at a great price!

WOW!!!!! Holy Taste Buds!!!! Stopped here while driving thru Dearing and glad I did! This place is absolutely amazing! It's a small building, not much room for seating inside, but don't let that scare you away. This is by far one of the best Burgers I have ever had in my life! Real quality meat, seasoned perfectly, fresh buns, handmade fries! Very reasonable prices! I can go on and on about how good it is, but you really just need to go try it! Mouthwatering Burgers! My wife and I both got the Deep South Burger. We each took a bite and then looked at each other and said OMG! This is the place! Hands down the best burger I've had I'm a long time. I have had "Gourmet" burgers from some of the high end restaurant in the CSRA, that were well over twice this price of this burger and they don't even come close to the party my taste buds had with the burger from here! Way to go y'all! You nailed it!

Had lunch today at Deep South for the first time and tried the Cheese Lover’s burger all the way. This is one of, if not THE best burgers in the CSRA! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

The customer service is awesome. They have that southern hospitality that makes you feel you are with friends. For the food, poutine. First time having it and wow! French fries, homemade cheese curds, hamburger steak, and gravy. It was heavenly. I high suggest stopping at this quaint eatery

This place is phenomenal!!! We felt so welcome as soon as we walked in the door. The server (I feel awful we didn’t get her name, but she only works two days a week and we are so glad we were able to be served by her!) We met the owner and he has such love and passion for food, just like we do.He took wonderful care of us and made amazing recommendations. He personally makes his own cheese curds that is a nine hour process, and wow! You can tell! Being in the industry our whole lives, my husband a chef, and me a bartender/server, we greatly appreciate everything this place has to offer. We recently moved here from Florida and are tired of the same ole same ole. This place is so different, but still has very homey options. We can’t wait to go back!

I have had the Putein at this restaurant several times because it is amazing! Today, I had the cheeseburger and fries. Absolutely delicious! It reminded me of the old time burger places from back in the 70s and 80s. I cannot recommend this place enough! Please check them out and thank me later. have always wanted to try poutine, so when I discovered Deep South Cheese and Grill here in Georgia, I told my husband that I really wanted to go. We ran by tonight and it was a great decision. We chose the "Kitchen Sink" variety. It is French fries, cheese curds, gravy, grilled onions, ground steak, smoked sausage, grilled chicken, and bacon. The dish was huge and it was amazing! I'm going to count this as my hamburger eaten in the state of Georgia. We also got a tomato and bacon grilled cheese. This picture just cannot do it justice. Everything was top notch; food, service and prices. We ordered carry out and we were in and out in a very timely manner. If you are ever in the Thomson/Dearing Georgia area, please visit these folks. They are Veteran owned and operated, and they offer a veteran/emergency services discount
