I moved to Fort Stewart in 2019. I had two cats but a stray kitty began coming to my house begging for food. I fed him and contacted Castaways Pet Rescue. They set up a visi to the vet to get fixed and get all his shots. I then took him to the pet adoption events at Petsmart but he only wanted me. I finally decided that we would adopt him. He is so sweet and spoiled. He will never ever have to live outside or wonder where his next meal will come from. Thank you Castaways! I love my Hercules and so do my other pets!

Such an amazing experience all the way around. These people are truly amazing and we are so incredibly happy with our sweet boy we adopted. They go above and beyond making sure all the cats gets placed with good homes for a lifetime of love and safety. The adoption process was fast and simple, but including all the necessary steps required for a successful life for our kitten. We will forever be grateful to all the people at castaways for all their hard work and dedication to these babies.

At Last My Love has Come Home Castaways saves lives! Two beautiful boys have blessed mine. Extremely lovable. Every being has a personality. My boys adjusted well with their new family. Castaway’s barely makes any money above the cost of spay or neuter, shots. Not to mention the volunteers and foster homes Time can’t be measured while saving lives. The care they provide is amazing. Every heart beat matters.

We had a great experience adopting our first cat. I did the application online and Laura reached out the next day. The cat we adopted wasn’t big enough at first. Laura communicated throughout the entire process and answered all questions while we waited for him to grow a little more. I love that all kittens are spayed / neutered and completely up to date with all vaccines. They are also microchipped. This is all included in the adoption fees. I hope to add a second kitten from Castaways in the future.

Laura has been amazing during our adoption! She and her team took the time to make sure both the kitty and our 6 year old were comfortable around each other, walked us through the entire adoption process, even helped us pick our first supplies to take home. The kitty was already spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated so I didn't have to worry about any of that. I have two kids at home now (one human, one feline) cuddling and playing all the time. I highly recommend Castaways. They really care the wellbeing of both these kittens and their future families. And my son finally has his bestie!

September 30th I was at Pet Smart in Savannah on Abercorn. While waiting to pick up my lovely MeeKa after surgery. My granddaughter ask to look at the kittens, who were up for adoption. We headed to the area where the ladies frome this agencywere setting up the cats to be viewed We loving every cat. As we were conversing about the different cats a lady walked in with a tiny kitten, who was meowing loudly, she was so tiny at least 2 weeks old, and very hungry. The lady asked to drop her off to see if this group would take her, they remove car parts to reach her. We suspect mom put her there to keep her warm. The lady offered to purchase milk for the kitten prior to leaving. The ladies wrapped the little one in a warm covering holding her close to their body to warm her. Another customer held her, administered milk through a dropper as I stood close by observing. The kitten was super hungry, she then became a little calmer after getting the milk. The ladies were frantic, and stated the Facility was currently overwhelmed with kittens, they desperately needed Foster help! I guess it was divine intervention, I was there. I held the little one, and said "I would become a Foster Parent." Thinking I would keep her for a while then she would be adopted. I already had two cats at home! Another cat was not in my plans. I came home with the little Tortise. I knew once the family saw her we would keep her. She was treated like the newborn she was, feeding, and cleaning her through the night, yes I had a baby! Through several conversations the ladies thank me for helping, and were even more elated when I said "I would keep her!" I named her Mia. I could tell she was super smart. Time with her went by so fast. Litter training was a breeze, and my other cats have gradually accepted her into the family. I named her Mia! Pronounced "Mee A" She is now two months old.This agency has been super great! We maintained contact with each other to report her continued status in her new home. They provide her with preventive care, which is amazing, and checked out the home to make sure, she was in a safe, clean environment.I would like to Thank Laura Jackson for her consistent interactions regarding Mia. This is an agency that cares about the pets they take in and the families that adopt them. Whenever, a cat comes into my life I accept them as a Angel from heaven. I love and care for them deeply. I wish everyone would see these lovely creatures as little angels, and treat them with the love and kindness they give & deserve!Please, give a pet a home!💖

I first came across Castaways three years ago. I had found a kitten in the middle of the pouring rain on veterans Parkway. I called a whole bunch of rescues only Castaways called me back. They helped me tremendously. I ended up fostering the little kitten, and he found a wonderful home. After that I decided to be a volunteer to foster and also help with the kennels at Petsmart. They have always been so supportive and caring. They are a wonderful rescue that helps Dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that so desperately need help. Three.

I’m writing a review based on the pain and experience we went through. Our cat was about a year and a half. We had her for about 3 weeks total and my boyfriend and her bonded the most. They had a strong love bond, we spoiled this cat and got her many toys, healthy food, etc. she was so happy and playful and no symptoms of anything wrong. One morning my boyfriend was playing with her (she was completely normal). He went into the shower and came back and smelt poop all over the kitchen floor and went to check on her, she was having a seizure. He picked her up and started crying for help and not even 2 min in, our cat died in his arms. I was at work when I received a call that was absolutely traumatizing and random for this to happen to our kitty. The lady didn’t offer any reimbursement- she didn’t offer another kitten nothing to deal with the grief. This cat clearly had a brain clot or heart condition that no one knew about. If you go with castaways, please go in and remember anything can happen and that anything is possible. These people don’t know where the cats come from which makes sense, they prob don’t know their conditions and a blood test and some shots won’t tell you if your cat has a blood clot, random seizure etc- anything is possible. Just sharing my experience.

An absolute AMAZING experience. These kind people helped my wife and I with new kittens we had rescued. It was as simple as us walking around the store and they noticed the kittens and immediately jumped into action with helping us! They told us things we didn’t even know and were kind and generous enough to donate things to us for the new babies. We looks forward to sending them updates and are so beyond thankful for their generosity!

Castaways does a wonderful job with an almost impossible task of humanely rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for homeless animals. When I found a kitten with a mangled leg on the way home from work, they were the first folks I called (after hubby) to try and find resources to navigate such a horrible injury. They helped with finding a specialist and helped with the cost. They followed up for months to be sure she was healing and getting all she needed. Today Peggy ;-) is living her best life with her human and furry family members. We couldn’t have done it without them.

I am a Bryan County foster for the group and ana ssistant at adoption events. Castaways assists cats and dogs from infant to adult, provides vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neutering, and finds them new homes with good owners. They even support fosters and provide necessary supplies such as food (whether hard food, wet food, or formula for the babies). Many animals come to us injured and Castaways covers emergency vet care through local veterinary hospitals. I have had several of my cats adopted out through Castaways and they are VERY happy in their new homes.

This rescue has helped me and others many times over. They take in injured, sick, pregnant, furbabies and with the large support of fosters they are able to care for them and vet them so that they are ready to be adopted. Adopt in here if you wants have a sick kitten, we adopt a kitten in here and we was spending more than 15 q-tips because her hears was FULL of ear mites and fleas not even the worst part is the cat was sick and have cough and it was loosing hair, they don’t care about the cats. SOMEONE DO SOMETHING. I hope god take hands in here with this awful people .|.
