I am an avid shopper of this Kroger. I live within a mile & shop here multiple times a week as well as buy gas weekly from them. However, after my experience today I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this location. I had some diapers without a receipt that I wanted to exchange. I knew they were from this location because they had the Kroger sticker with the store number on them. I did a quick google search to see if Kroger did returns, and they do! Even if you don’t have a receipt, they will give you store credit if within 30 days & over $10. However, this manager said it was up to her discretion & would not let me simply exchange for a different size. Huge shout out to the celevland highway location, they were extremely helpful and even let me exchange my even though they did not come from their store. I will be taking my business here instead.

Never worked self checkout there before. Couldn't figure it out. Ur employee laughed at me. Pushed 1 button. Left. Messed up again. Laughed at again by same employee. Why the h.... Should I ever shop there again? U got great people representing you.

Gilberto in the butcher department is the BEST! He custom cut and prepped our Christmas Day prime rib, going above and beyond to fill my order. He was also funny and charming to me and my sister.

Management and employees at this store are unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. I had an incident at this store and Management didn't help me it was a customer who did. After I was released from the ER, we went back to pick-up our groceries they promised to take care of. They put our freezer items in the cold storage instead of the freezer. My husband noticed all items were not there and he asked what happened to them? Whomever was behind the counter told him someone probably took them but he could go into the store and get the missing items. Unbelievable! We had our receipt so they couldn't deny that the items weren't missing. The store is not maintained in cleanliness. I went inside their bathroom and the white toilets where no longer white but brown with fecal matter. The worst part is these are people who are handling our food. They should be held accountable as our restaurants are and given notice to clean the place up or given a F rating. I wish I could give them no stars but in order to leave a review you have to give at least one star.

I'm a instacart shopper and I asked a manager for help assuming she would check me out at a checkout lane bc I was using self checkout and she basically said it's not her problem and to call instacart. And I left unhappy bc how rude she was. I won't be returning here to ever shop but that's why I shop walmart and target. Ppl are just plain rude I mean if u don't wanna do your job then let somebody else do it!! Rant over!!

Grate variety of items, in an always clean and well organized space. They are definitely not cheap, but there are always coupons, special offers and member discounts. Some of their private brand products are good and inexpensive. The staff is usually knowledgeable, polite and helpful. The location is convenient, but sometimes getting in and out of the parking lot is not easy.Update: At these prices, fresh has to be fresh, always. And unfortunately it is not. I bought sliced cheese with mold, and some of the grape tomatoes in the box were wrinkled and non edible. Some of their private name items are overpriced, yet only average quality. Excellent service from the staff, one star is for the staff alone.

The store is clean and spacious. Produce section is very well managed and free of children biting on fruit and putting back like wal-mart. Also, has a bussin clearance isle. Praise Yah!

This was my go to grocery store. This store has adopted the new era of self check outs. At most, there will be one line open. The checkout process is not convenient or friendly to customers. The lines are long and the checkouts remain closed. It is almost impossible to get any assistance.

Kroger is kroger, and generally the experiences are always the same. Nothing bad, nothing great, you're grocery shopping. BUT, IF YOU HAVE TO USE THE RESTROOM, PUT YOUR STUFF DOWN AND JUST GO AHEAD AND LEAVE THE STORE.... Seriously.. I've never seen an establishment of this size not know how to maintain a restroom.. Every time I've had to use the restroom, or my wife has, there's always trash in the floor, flooded toilet water, no paper towels, no toilet paper, etc. Etc.. So just be sure you don't have to go to the bathroom while you're getting some shopping in, because you'll regret it.

Used to a nice place to go. I used to only shop here. Then a few years ago it go iffy now it's just garbage. Boxes everywhere, unsafe staking of heavy products, empty shelves, rude employees that absolutely will not help you. It really used to be so nice. Definitely would not recommend

I am so tired of self check outs. I shop every two weeks and purchase big loads and I also shop early to avoid crowds. Today I again had to do self check out and missed a couple of bags on the turnstile. I am going to start driving 14 miles to Publix to get groceries from now on. They have better customer service. Even when you ask to be checked out by a cashier the staff gives you attitude. Only once these past few months has one employee been nice about checking me out. I’m older and it takes a lot to shop then do your own self checkout. Bye bye Kroger. I’ll also be posting this on social media too.

Got there are 5:50 pm to grab a quick item for dinner to find out that the doors were locked and the person at the exit was not letting customers in. Called the store and the person said they were closing up; when pressed to give the hours for the day (the site said 9 pm) they were closing at 6 pm. Was told that was how things were done to get everyone out by 6 pm. Used to work retail (for many years) and closing is when people cannot enter the store not when the employees want people to be out of the store. So called corporate and they agreed that is not how closing times work. So I did not get dinner for my family and with trying to find out what was going on (thougt hey, mayhaps they closed at 5:30, also missed getting across the street to a different store). They may have one of my favorite fast curry items and the only store sushi that tastes good but they do not need my money nor apparently anyone else that shows up during store hours. I truly hope the store is fined and the manager that thought it was a good idea gets fired.

I ordered a birthday cake for my six year old. I went in on the day I was supposed to pick it up, and the girl said the order was put in for the next day not that day so I asked for the time to be changed. Went in the next day on the time another girl said it would be done, it wasn’t. Then a girl said she could have it done in 15 minutes. I went back to pick it up it looked great, but was not the white cake I ordered. It was chocolate and my six year old doesn’t like chocolate so she got a cake she wouldn’t even eat. I would not recommend getting a cake from the bakery.

I'm only giving one star because Google requires it as a minimum. Apparently this location today was vastly understaffed, and the staff available was bottom of the barrel. After navigating around stockers carts just left in aisles, as well as the abundance of boxes of merchandise left on the floor for the next worker to put it away, I made my way to the checkout. There were three actual lanes open that were not self checkout on a Sunday at 1pm. The three lines were long and customers and baskets stretched down the center. Aisle 9 had fewer people, so I maneuvered my cart over. After getting up to the belt to begin unloading my groceries the clerk said, "It may be a few minutes, I'm waiting on someone from Guest Services". I look around and confirm they haven't opened any other lanes and shrugged my shoulders. I don't mind waiting compared to getting out of line and walking behind the 12-15 other baskets. After about 5 minutes the clerk, Arika, pulls the lady in front of me cart and starts loading her groceries. She said I am going to check you out on 7 since it's taking so long. I figured we were moving the line to 7, but she said that wasn't her lane. The man behind me asked her where should we go, and Arika just shrugged. I made my way to the self checkout (200+ worth so not self checkout friendly) and I painstakingly began scanning. 15 minutes later, my husband found me and took over the task. Since you have to wait for the scanner to clear after bagging, it takes a few seconds in between each item. Since he took over, I glanced around and saw Arika back over at her lane 9, with no customers. I walked up and told her that she did NOT belong in customer service. This woman with the blue hair actually looked up and said, "I am not in customer service" I told her she was, that was exactly what her job was and to leave us there and walk off was rude and unprofessional. Arika then screamed, "THAT'S NOT MY JOB" at me. I looked back and told her exactly my point of why she should not be in customer service. It was everything in me not to leave my $200+ worth of groceries sitting there, but I realize there's no point.

Went today to pick up my son's formula that they had in stock. Got there to the check out line with my WIC folder and the cashier's was very rude saying that I could only get 4 bottles cause there is a formula shortage. Which they can't do that on WIC from what I was told by the WIC office. They walked off to go get the store manager that was there and he told me that they would only allow it that once any other time after that for WIC people would only be able to get four at the most. Then the cashier told me I should be happy that they was allowing me to still get my WIC at the time because they could have went by what the paper said. Will not ever go back to this location.

My husband and i work 3rd shift so we go grocery shopping in the evenings because thats when its convenient for us. There is this MISRABLE lady who works the self checkout area who is harassing shoppers up to 45mins till closing time. ( she doesnt wear her badge so she cant be reported) she is a blonde lady with a horrible attitude problem. This has happend TWICE. I understand that life happens etc but DO NOT harass customers who is helping pay your check because you hate your job and you want to go home. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Just passing through on the way to fl...stopped for gas and went in for a few items and was totally impressed!! Very clean and organized with lots of variety! Loved the floral dept...they had unusual flowers you don't normally see and the normal ones! I wish my local Kroger was like this one! Kudos to the managers and associates!

These thieves will take $125 out of your bank account if you use your card at the pump. I spent $30 in gas and look at my account to see $125 debited. Upon a Google search, this is their policy and they will hold it for up to three days. I will never EVER return to Kroger again for any reason. Not ever. My entire day has been ruined.

To whom it may concern,After much deliberation I decided to shop at Kroger on Walnut Avenue in Dalton, GA., April 9, 2020, the Kroger that my family and I frequent several times weekly. I felt like it would be safe to shop there due to the fact that your Chairman and CEO Rodney Mcmullen had sent out numerous emails stating how Kroger is doing their part to better allow for social distancing during this time such as only allowing 50% of regular occupancy in each store at a time. He made sound like being able to keep a safe distance from others wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived at the store at approximately 9:30am, I saw a sign on the door explaining the 50% occupancy precaution. However, there was no-one at any of the doors monitoring the amount of people in the store. When I went into the store, there was nothing anywhere to clean my grocery cart. Thankfully, I had my own clorox wipes. There weren’t too many people there when I first arrived, but about a quarter of the way through the store, it started getting packed. I couldn’t get away from people. There was no way that I could keep 6 feet away. There were lines on the floor at check out but no employees near to bring that to customers attention and to enforce it. By the time I was finished shopping and ready to check out the store was even busier than normal. As I checked out there were other customers in line ignoring or not noticing the lines on the floor that were intended for distancing. Now that I think back on this experience I regret not leaving the store immediately abandoning my already full shopping cart. I was so stressed out by the time that I left that I do not plan on ever returning to Kroger to shop. I will go somewhere that cares more about their customers and their employees.Tamara G Hildebrand
