This is the way companies used to be ran. 32 minutes getting what has taken me almost 2 hours at the big box stores. Nice and most importantly, knowledgeable service. Instead of having to hunt somebody to help, they found me after the radio call from the front desk.

I called a head of time to see if they had happy frog soil potting mix. lady told me yea we have plenty. I told her ill be up in 10min. I get there the lady said they sold all the rest of it. I was so disappointed, and I had my 2 year old baby and all. she could've heald a bag for me, this company is unorganized, and don't no there inventory. This is the first and last time I'll ever come to this place just order online people avoid the hassle plus it's cheaper online.

Shopping at Elrod's is always a pleasure because of Sam, Danita, and their terrific staff. They consistently have a great selection of plants. Something that sets them apart is the fact that they will load your car for you. You won't get that kind of service at the big home improvement stores!

They are always so great here! We buy our Taste of the Wild Dog Food at Elrod's and they are always quick to call someone to load it for me. They also have a great selection of plants, flowers and other goodies that makes buying gifts easy. We love to support our local stores!

What a wonderful place! I had browsed through the reviews before I went and was a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews. When I went to purchase some plants today...every...single...person...that worked there greeted me and was pleasant to interact with. I'm not quite used to that - when I go to Home Depot, the employees practically scurry away the second a customer comes near them. The employees at Elrod actually offered to help and asked me how I was doing. The lady at the register had such an amazing personality - so warm and friendly! Their plants are well taken care of as well, which is great to see. All of them were healthy and well watered. Definitely a great place to shop!

We had a great experience here. If you are going to fill your propane tank this is the place. First, they charge you for how much propane is put in the tank, not just a per tank flat fee. So you can fill a 1/2 full tank and pay for 1/2 a tank.The place was pretty cool. There was a lot of beekeeping stuff here. I'm not a beekeeper, but it was fascinating to see it all. The people were very helpful and friendly. They also sell local honey!

I've tried dealing with this business off and on for over 4 years with limited success. First off their prices are a good bit higher than prices for similar products at other stores. Second their quality of products is inconsistent some items are good others are purely lacking in quality. Third I have bought plants from them for the last 4 years with little success. So this year acting strictly on their advice I bought exclusively from them only roughly one half of the plants lived. Out of the ones that did live their production was low with the exception of the tomato plants which were about average at best. The Strawberry plants were terrible a little less than half of them lived and only two even produced fruit. In the past I have bought the same variety Strawberry plants from Lowe's and Ace Hardware those plants even though 4 & 7 years old have consistently produced fruit all season as they are an ever baring variety. When I approached the folks at Elrod's about this I was basically told to go pound sand that that's just the way it is and they could not have cared less that less than half of the plants that I purchased there died and the others were doing very poorly. In my previous experience other suppliers have always offered advice and assistance. I was not even told to or asked if I had contacted the county agent's office. As for the plants I did contact the supplier's home office and was told that they stood behind their products and offered to replace the plants that died. I opted to get new Strawberry plants in the coming spring they told me to contact them next spring and they would arrange to get me replacement plants for those that had died. As for Elrod's NEVER AGAIN will I ever spend one Red cent with them, and I will advise anyone whom I come into contact with to STAY AWAY, they do not appear to appreciate their customers or the customers business. Perhaps they have their fortune made and really do not care about the customer! At least that is the way they acted towards me!

My husband I visited Elrod's for the 1st time today. We had such a wonderful experience. Good customer service does still exist. We met the owner who was very friendly and appreciative of our visit. All of their plants looked beautiful and healthy. An associate assisted us upon arrival until we were ready to complete our purchase. We definitely recommend Elrod's....we're the Cedartown folks!

I don't know what is going on with the Elrod's but I had the worst experience toady. NOTE TO everyone who likes to price check and make sure they are getting the best value, don't do it in their store because apparently they hate people who want to be sure they are getting a good price on items such as a sprinkler as I was looking up today. These people are rude. After years and countless amount of money I have spent there trying to support their small business, I NEVER WILL return! They will try refute what I'm saying, but I'm sure others who have dealt with their rudeness will know who's telling the truth. As you said to me Denita.. bless your heart!

Definitely a 5 🌟! Always friendly staff and beautiful and healthy plants. Sam is very knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been doing business with them since the day they opened. When my friend lost her daughter, I called to ask Danita if she had a particular tree I wanted to purchase to give my friend in remembrance. She checked and told me they did have the tree. My intention was to pick it up the next day, however, I was exposed to the COVID virus and was unable to go. I called to to let them know what was going on. I had not paid for the tree and didn’t ask them to offer any resolution. Danita was very understanding and offered to hold the tree until would be able to come. I was able to go two weeks later and the tree was tagged and waiting for me. The tree was beautiful and I also purchased a Limelight Hydrangea. Always a great experience at Elrod’s!

I hate to give a bad review for this place. I had high hopes for using them every year but after today's visit I'm done. I purchased over $300 of landscaping supplies form them last weekend. I also purchased a delivery of my supplies. I bought 28 landscape block and 12 caps plus other things but due to some circumstances I had to return 9 block and 6 caps. When I went to return them the lady at the desk asked the owner (Sam) on the radio if he would allow it. He said yes (not that he shouldn't they were in perfect condition). She the. Turned to me and said he is really mad that I am returning these(1/6 of my total purchase). She said that they had to jump through a lot of hoops in order to deliver my purchase and that I shouldn't be returning it. I told her that Home Depot is cheaper, closer to my house, and never complains about me returning un used materials. She said I can go their then. Last time I use this place. I hate to do that to a mom and pop kind of place too.

This is the local garden Center apart from the big box stores. We came in the store and strolled across different aisles to find out they don’t carry the plant that we were looking for. The employees of the store were super helpful and helped out with any questions that we might have. We visited this store in wrong time before the season ending of spring(this is pre COVID). Definitely will visit again in the future.I also brought in my grill propane gas tank for refill. This is the cheapest place you can get your gas tank refilled period.

My favorite garden center and feed supply.My goats love the Chaffhaye brand alfalfa, and I'm glad to have a local supplier, especially one so friendly and helpful. I also get my chicken layer feed here. When it comes to my human family members, we love the garden plants from Elrod and the fabulous local honey.

This is my go to place. I amAll about supporting a local business. If they don’t have what I need in sight, they always order and get it to me in a timely manner. I would recommend this place over your big box store any day.

Being honest the flowers are really pretty a little bit on the high side however that's not my problem with them I mainly buy different animal feeds and shavings and stuff like that from there and consistently they never have what I need even after I've been told by their workers oh we'll have it in next week or you need to let us know how many bags you use a month which I told the worker that at the time... and the biggest reason this annoys me is because their own loaders have told that they would sell a lot more of it if they would just keep it in stock which they never do so I kind of get that they don't sell any because it's not a reliable place to get it at....it would be one thing if this is like a one-time ordeal but this is happened to me like six or seven different times last year and literally this happened to me two times back to back this year already so the loader and outside workers are great! The owners are ok can be a bit rude sometime so yeah thats it if you want flowers go there however if you want feed or stuff like that i wouldnt suggest it

not a welcoming place to visit. Went in and bought some seed, the couple who own the place at first just ignored me as far as helping me but were eyeballing me in a really rude way. Then when I suddenly picked up a seed packet they then asked me, Can I help you? like I was being a bother even picking up the seed envelope. I will not be shopping here again. Even the big stores have better southern hospitality and customer service. Very disappointed!!!!!!!

I visited here about a week ago and the owner was DREADFUL! She was incredibly rude. I guess when you're the only fish in the small pond you think you're bigger than you really are. I grew up in Dallas though and she was definitely not a good representation of what our town is all about. And to top it off they didn't even have a good selection.

I was picking up items that a customer had purchased. I asked the older lady behind the counter if all the items are ready to be loaded, she said yes.I arrived at the customer's house and he said it's only half of the order.I called Elrod's and spoke to the older lady AGAIN to ask what happened to their customers order. She didn't want to deal with me and kept saying that I needed to speak with some employee that had already left for the day.Ummm, no! Your customer has a paid receipt in front of me. This needs to be delt with asap.She puts Sam on the phone and he has no idea what it going on. I read him the paid receipt and I see Sam's name in bold print.Well, now he remembers and explains how the customer should have called first. Your customer DID CALL first.Classic example of right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Excuses galore!!!!You lost a customer and I know I'll never do business with these jokers.

The lady working the counter was extremely rude to my daughter in front of several customers! That doesn't seem very professional and certainly isn't a kind thing to do to anyone! If she is an employee, someone needs to give her some training and if she is the owner, shame on her!

My father went in to pick up some materials for a landscaping job and has with this business for some time now. One of my fathers workers went to get a bush and put it in the back of the truck, which one of the workers at Elrods KNEW that he was doing so. After getting to the counter to pay for all the materials the lady was very rude, thinking that my father and his workers were going to steal something. Like I said my father has been doing business with them for awhile and spends a lot of money there. After this incident we will not be doing business with Elrods any longer.

I've spent hundreds of dollars at Elrod's buying food plot seed over the years. This past Friday I was told they had some Pennington summer/spring blend that they wanted to get rid of because of sping planting season coming to an end. I bought a $40 bag of seed for $30. Not a bad price until I read the label and they are selling seed 1 1/2 years past the manufactures expiration date. I also picked up 4 bags of 19-19-19 and 10 bags of pellet lime. All the bags had holes in them and taped up. I just weighted 2 of the 40 pound lime bags and they both came in at 32 pounds each. No telling how much seed, lime, or fertilizer gets left on their shop floor. They both stopped helping me when one of their buddy's came to bullshit. Come on to be a "mom and pop" business act like it. Walmart, Home Depot, lowes, and ect. All sell the bonne brand plants. People go there to get that down home personal feeling. Not anymore from me. I can get the same seed from Hancock seed company on line cheaper with free shipping. I going to tell all my buddies in Dallas and the surrounding areas to never buy from the Elrod's again!This was nothing more than someone robbing someone on a street corner.

I could spend hours here and walk out with a "how to garden" magazine. Always a huge selection and they are definitely worth the few dollars more than the big box stores in hiram considering traffic, gas and quality of anything you buy here. I'll keep my business with them
