This is my go-to Petco & go-to big pet supply store. The staff are really friendly, helpful, & patient. The store is clean & well laid out. I love looking for bargains here, as well as discovering new options for our dogs & cats. The store price-matches their Petco website & app prices. I bring my foster pups here to help with their socialization. My son & I also enjoy meeting the different animals available for adoption here.

I was beyond surprised by the fish department. Outstanding!!! The fish were healthy, the tank decor was well appointed, there were ample varieties of aquatic animals, plants, and supplies as well as knowledgeable staff. However, the betta were not as well cared for as I would have liked.

I love this store. Everyone here is amazing. I should have gotten the discount plan sooner and saved even more money like they suggested two months ago lol. It is really worth it. Thank you guys for lookin after me and my kittens!!

Was able to get an appointment right away this time. I have 2 dogs that are both 10 pounds and under. We walked out with a $180 bill. I've never paid that much even with a private, pro groomer.When I picked up the first dog, he still smelled like a dog. I mentioned it, and the tech asked if I wanted her to spray him with perfume. Ummm, no. I expect him to smell clean, like when I picked him up from his previous groomers. $180, and he still smells like dog.Cut was nice, though. Did a good job on that. And when I asked about my other dog's tipped ears and said I didn't like it, the tech immediately made notes to not do it. I liked that.

Don’t work here! Whoever is in charge hates their employees because they only had two people working on a weekend day and they were slammed. Couldn't find someone to grab a fish so we went to checkout to ask for help and make other purchases and were told to go find the other employee to help which was another search of the whole store and when we found her we learned employees could not readily find price of a clownfish with any resource in store and had to text someone off site while we waited and they had to check out other people for literally 20+ minutes. I feel bad for the folks who work here, genuinely, because they are being set up to fail.

Best customer service. There were 2 young men helped in the fresh water fish section. Very knowledgeable and guided us to get the best products and fishes for a best price. Really appreciate their service they provide for the customers.

Luke in the fish department was friendly and super knowledgeable. There are a lot of things to learn when setting up a fish tank for the first time and Luke made the process much more accessible to a novice like me. Can’t say enough about how well he treated me. I left feeling competent and with a plan of action for our aquarium. At checkout there was a young man and young woman who we very friendly and attentive as well. I appreciate the consistent service throughout my visit.

Great place to get saltwater fish. There price is comparable to most all around pet stores for fish. The fish look healthy and the guy in the aquatic area is very knowledgeable about the fish. I have lost a couple, but that's the risk with saltwater fish. 2 clown, 1 rainbow wrasse, 1 coral beauty, 1 yellow fang, 1 orange spot goby and 1 fire hawk over the last 24 months all doing great. Now today 1 undulated trigger, I would recommend there fish and advise

My visit itself was pretty ok. No issues in finding what I needed but billing was a far different from what I expected. It was at 7:15PM EST on Jan 20th 2024, Saturday. The old white lady with boy cut at the counter messed up my day. She asked my phone number to enter in the system, it was not found. So I mentioned that I never gave number earlier so wasn't surprised that there was no hit. Then she asked me if I want to add my number and have a petco card for discounts in future. She also said it is like a Kroger card. I was interested but wanted to make double sure that it is not a credit card I am applying for. That somehow triggered her. She rolled her eyes and instead of answering yes or no, she just started scanning my stuff with visible anger on her face. If she couldn't take one extra simple question, why is she even offering the option. She is pathetic and seems to have some issues.

I keep visiting Petco at Market Place Blvd more than I'd like to, and that's because I love animals. I bought my 55-gallon tank from there along with its accessories, and then the fishes and their supplies, including medicine, etc. I have their Vital Care Premium membership, which is definitely worth having if you may need frequent purchases.When buying items from here, I make sure I am being helped by someone who is an expert in that area, such as fish, so I get the best advice. Online research helps too. They carry supplies from top-end brands.Pros:-Wide selection of pet supplies for all kinds of animals-Knowledgeable and helpful staff-Vital Care Premium membership is worth it if you shop frequently-Top-end brands availableCons:-Can be expensive-Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right person to help youOverall:I highly recommend Petco at Market Place Blvd to any pet owner. They have everything you need for your furry friend, and the staff is always willing to help. Just be prepared to spend some money, and don't be afraid to ask for help from a knowledgeable staff member.Additional Tips:-Sign up for their email list to receive coupons and discounts.-Shop during sales events.-Take advantage of their price match policy.-Ask about their return policy.

Grooming department : 0 stars. My pup has severe allergies. It's noted in his file and I am sure to always mention it as a reminder. When I came to pick up my pup after his appointment, they said they used perfume because they forgot about his allergies. Frustrating, but I went along with my day. The next time I brought him in for a grooming appt there was an employee behind the desk having what I can best describe as an emotional breakdown. The other two employees, young women, looked on like a deer in headlights as she read outloud an email that a customer had written, referring to the Author as "Karen" several times. It made me so uncomfortable that I went ahead and stopped my Petco membership altogether. I certainly will not be leaving any animal in her care.

Love the store mostly. Sometimes, it's hard to find what I need. The staff is usually pretty friendly, with a couple of exceptions. Love that they get in unusual fish selections sometimes.

Petco? More like Liberalco. Took my dog for a haircut, every single person had a nose ring or red hair. Literally butchered my dogs haircut to where he looks terrible. Then they made me TIP before even seeing how bad the haircut was.

I took my goldendoodle Sugar there to get groomed by Leah, Sugar was very outgrown, hadn’t been brushed in a couple weeks, matted in some places and came out with the best grooming job she’s ever had! Highly recommend!!

This is by far my favorite Petco! The store is super clean and full, compared to other Petcos in the area. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. They let my son pet the reptiles every time we go in, and are so patient with him. They help out with any question I have.

Please DON'T use their grooming services. My pet had a complete shave last month, got severe clipper burns. I visited next day, they provided an e collar for free and I bought an topical cream. Unfortunately its worsen, I had to go for a vet visit and end up with anti biotic cream and she suffered for a week. Today my pet took a grooming service, I asked to not use the deep clipper, but she got scratches on one side on the belly and other side completely ignored (see the pictures). Better chose some other place for grooming services at least.

I went to the groomers there and the tech cut my dog and didn’t even tell me about it. Later she calls me to tell me that my dog is having a panic attack, Ofcourse he’s going too if you cut him and he’s scared after. Very unprofessional will not be returning there again.

The store associates are VERY helpful, but the products and membership suck. They trap you into membership, and then you can't cancel before 1 year.My cats don't like any of their food except one specific brand. The funny thing is that when I order that cat food from Petco app, it shows 3-4 days delivery. If I order the same food from Amazon, it does same day delivery. Guess who is the supplier for Amazon? Petco!!!Now, I am paying 22 usd for membership to Petco for nothing.My cats mostly like the foods that are not available at Petco.

It’s ridiculous that you are charging consumers for plastic bags which should already be funded in your cost of goods mark up!Furthermore, why are you not holding your suppliers to better standards as it relates to the amount of plastic used in their packaging?!No, I will NEVER be paying for a plastic bag. If you don’t think it is environmentally responsible it’s your obligation to change to a different bagging product vs passing the cost on to me as the shopper which you already have included in all of your product mark up prices. Certainly haven’t seen the cost of my dogs food going down.

Recently i purchased a larger fish tank for our Angel Fish, the tank was broken in the box on a rainy night - didn't find it until we got home and started fish transfer. Graham and Michelle (sp?) were absolutely helpful in assisting to get a new tank carried out to my car in the rain. Super helpful and knowledgeable! We love this Petco!

I’ve been to this store in Buford ,Ga 3 or 4 times. The store is well stocked most of the time and store associates are fairly friendly but not always well informed. I found that coupons for Petco are sometimes not accepted which is frustrating. One positive is that Petco sells a brand of cat food that I use , for much less than other retailers and where sometimes I can’t even buy elsewhere. My suggestion is that customer service brush up on how they interact with customers both in store and on line
