This store has went down a great deal in the last six months, a few weeks ago me and several customers showed up to shop and the store was still closed at 9 it did not open for several hours I understand they are short on staff but even one of their workers was locked out and unable to get in to open… they also closed extremely early..the store is a mess there freezer’s are always breaking and over freezing the ice cream. At one point they didn’t carry milk for like a week. The store is in a good location but lacking help, the parking lot stays full of trash .

The service is wonderful but the owners do not take care of their employees or customers! I have walked into this store and customers were bringing grocery bags in just to bag their items. today as i was walking out i had a lovely conversation with an employee and put my kids in the car loaded my trunk and as i had my three year old in my arms walking around to put him in his car seat i stepped in hole in their parking lot and busted both knees, my elbow, both wrists, cut my arm open, all to avoid my son hitting his head on the concrete. How do we go about making them fix their parking lot?!

I've shopped at this Dollar General for 9 years. It used to be a great place with wonderful employees, but lately it has been absolutely terrible.I have only returned items once before I attempted to return a few items 3 days ago. I had only bought them 6 days earlier. They refused to accept the water flavor packets and soda crackers stating they are food items and they don't take food items back. This is written nowhere in their store return policy! How are drink packets food?!? I was returning these things because they charged me more than what they were advertised as. She did offer to give me the difference, but I wouldn't accept as I'm determined to have my money returned to me. On the 3 items they did take back, she insisted on putting the money back on my debit card rather than just give me cash which is what they gave me the one other time I made a return. That is written in their policy though, HOWEVER, she charged my card $25 more instead of refunding it!!! I call corporate and they promise to have a district manager call me back within 24 hours which didn't happen. Now I can't get anyone back on the phone. The details are way too lengthy, but the automated machine keeps promising to call me back, which they do and then promptly hang up without speaking to me. So far I have spent 8 and a half hours trying to fix this mess. I will NEVER shop at a dollar General again! Oh and the soda crackers that they were so worried about me trying to return them 6 days later became outdated a whole month before the day I bought them!!! .

Store is filthy, shelves not stocked, merchandise in shopping carts not stocked, shelves in disarray, employees when you can find one looked like they just crawled out from under a rock.. it looks as if there is not enough help to maintain the store... we have shopped this store since it's opening .it was not always this bad..

I come here all the time and appreciate the employees that are always here. That said, why is this store closing at random hours and on random days? Online it says they’re open. I get here, and they’ve closed at 3:30pm??? Get it together corporate. Please pay the over worked employees enough so they don’t quit, and offer a good salary so you can get enough employees to stay open. Us folks who live in Coosa and plan on stopping at this location have already passed the other stores we could have stopped at. Now I have to turn around and go back to town. It’s just annoying. Please update your online hours accordingly.

My very first visit to this store was to ask for boxes to move. It was a disaster. But the people were friendly and welcoming.A very short time later I found myself applying for a job position at this location. I had then visited a few times as a new customer and was seeing tremendous changes being implemented, so I was really excited to be a part of changes to come as I learned the store had just in the last bit gotten this new manager and her efforts were definitely noticed by me! I want to say how happy I am to join this team and continue the improvements being implemented :) So, if you find yourself in Coosa needing anything in a hurry I would recommend you stop by and see the selection of things we offer, the help we will provide you and the grateful staff who are ready to help you get on with your day with whatever it is your needing in a pinch!! So, for my review I will definitely be giving 5 stars and hope you will stop by to see why I am so happy to be a part of this !! Have a blessed day and see you at your local Dollar General !!

I usually get two cans of propane a week here, for a couple of months now. I got a bad tank, bad valve which happens. I tried to get it replaced, but they were out. I left my number and it was a week later, so I dropped in to check on it. They had propane, so I said I'd bring the bad tank. The clerk said that he had to see my receipt, even though it was just a swap, bad tank for good. I couldn't find it, but the tank is clearly full. I bought an exchange and gave him the bad tank, out the cost of the new. I spend about sixty bucks a week here. For the cost of a bad tank, you lost me. I heat with it. I'm poor. There are too many places to get propane.

This place has literally gone to the rats! Had to return a loaf of bread because rats had chewed on it. They're always out of shopping bags. There's tons of merchandise cluttering up the aisles still in boxes & the shelves sit mostly bare & dirty. This has been going on for weeks. Took these outside through the front windows...

The ladies here are always make you feel welcome and are so helpful. They don't give you the wal-mart treatment (Pretend they don't see you)Everytime you walk in there they make sure you have everything you need before you leave. I'm blessed to live so close.

The place is pretty dirty and the coolers are not working a lot of the time+even if they are they barely work employees a mean at times but other than that it's pretty good

I rated it 1 star not because of the employees but because of the upper management! The store was busy & the employees were very helpful & friendly in letting us know they were so sorry it was so hot in there. Well they didn't say but I know that they gotta be dyin in there workin all day so you know they have let them know the air was workin & nothing had been done about it.

It's good, Fast and quick in and out. When my wife worked thire she was the asstint manager and loved it. But I started working at GA power and I told her she didn't have to work, but she found a part time job and Love's it now

I was very dissatisfied. I tried getting cash back and it said approved but the cashier said it declined. I checked on my card app and i was charged the 1.00 for cash back and for items purchased but they didn't want to refund the 1.00 fee. They shouldn't. Be able to charge fee if no cash back given. I think its a way of getting over on ppl. Cause there is alot of ppl out thre that wouldnt make a fuss over just 1.00 but those 1.00 add up.

I am happy with Dollar General as they had the biodegradable bamboo toothbrushes I love for 1.00. They get 5 stars for an unexpected surprise.

Says they open at 8am...This morning they wasn't open at 8:30am. Went on to another store down the road came back by at 8:55 still not open. Ughh
