The staff and Doctor was extremely nice and beyond helpful in discussing our options regarding our 11.5 yr old Chow Chow, Kona, localized and operable cancer. They were very understanding of our situation since Kona is our baby and went over everything in detail from start up to potential surgery. We will be getting a CT to ensure the cancer has not spread and then will be moving forward with surgery.I cannot thank our Dr. at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic in Newnan for the referral. Without their guidance, we would not have known where to begin. The facilities are brand new and state of the art. We were extremely impressed with the way we were treated and none of the staff or doctor were afraid to handle Kona, a chow chow....a breed that often gets the misnomer of a bully or mean breed.Surgical is going to be several thousand dollars but since she is our only child (I cannot have children) no cost is too much to save her life.If you have a pet that is like your child, I would absolutely recommend taking them here and having them evaluated! We've used Auburn with our other Chows and have not had successful outcomes. This doctor has given us hope that we can beat this cancer and give Kona another 4 or more wonderful years....which means we can take her with us on all kinds of adventures!I can't thank everyone there for giving us the hope we needed in a very dark time! ❤️🐾

Doctor Wayne is the best! My furbaby has had 2 successful TPLO surgeries here and is doing great! The expectations and instructions are set out clearly, and the staff is always available to answer any questions you have both pre - and post surgery. The only negative is the wait time to be seen. Sometimes, we are there for over an hour before we get seen, but overall, it is worth it even with the hour and a half drive it takes me to get there. The long wait time is the only reason for 4 stars vs 5.

I’m so absolutely livid. I drove 2 hours to this facility after them telling me on the phone that they are very confident about the procedure. I get here, they tell me they are not a 24 hour facility and recommend and prefer that I see a 24 hour facility to do the procedure. Then tell me that I am being charged $100 for the 5 minute run down conversation on what the surgery entails. I now have a 2 hour drive back home on top of the 2 hours I wasted sitting in the room waiting for the veterinarian to come see us, plus the 2 hours it took to get here. I am honestly in shock and absolutely livid.

First, my pup is doing great thanks to their care which is much appreciated. Their level of customer service and communication skills are unsurpassed. They kept us in the loop throughout the process and followed up with us several times after we brought Odie (our pup) home. Clean beautiful facility, staffed by a skilled caring team, truly I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Other than one misunderstanding with staff, this doc (and other staff) was fabulous. He Explained things so I could understand. His staff reiterated to me all his directions and had them typed up on paper upon discharge. I was very pleased that they called me with updates on my dog also. Well worth the money spent for such a great team and peace of mind on my puppy.

Beyond impressed with Dr. Wayne and his staff. They were all so kind and gentle with my dog and explained to me thoroughly what was going on and what to expect after surgery. I can’t recommend enough! Super excited for 2 months from now when my pup is fully healed. Thank you so much!

I called this office crying my eyes out trying to find help for my pug puppy on one of the hardest days of my life...the sweet girls that answered the phone just sat there and listened to me and talked me through everything and told me what were the next steps going to be in order to get my baby fixed. My baby girl had to have an extensive leg surgery and I was so nervous. She was less than 5 pounds at the time and so helpless. After the successful head and neck surgery she was staying at their office for a few days....while she was there everyone would take their turns carrying my baby around and cuddling with her. You can tell every person at this office loves their job and truly cares for your baby like they were their own. I can not say enough about them and their compassion and knowledge. I travel 1.5 hours each way to bring my baby here and I would do it again (hopefully don't ever have too) in a heartbeat! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for fixing my baby girls leg and giving her the chance to have a healthy and full life ahead of her! You guys are the absolute best from the front desk to the doctor himself! Thank you thank you thank you!!

My dog had to have his left knee rebuild. Dr Wayne was Excellent, through and professional. His concern for his patients is remarkable and loving. The staff is amazing as well.

We had a great experience with Dr. Wayne and all of his staff. Our Wheaten Terrier needed TPLO on both knees. He was miserable and unable to get around--we carried him up and down the stairs to even go to the bathroom. We had the first knee done in January(23) and the second one done in Apr(23). Even just doing the first leg made a huge difference in our dog's quality of life. We followed the post care directions to a "t" and everything turned out great--the second knee was a bit harder to get back to "normal" but I was told this would be the case from the beginning. I recommend investing in a lick sleeve unless you want to deal with a cone for 2-3 weeks. Now our dog is back to doing his twice daily walks, with longer walks on the weekends or as our schedule allows. I highly recommend this practice. They explain everything thoroughly, are great with follow up, and all the staff are just lovely. Thanks again, Dr. Wayne!

Can't say enough good about this place or Dr. Wayne and his staff. Our lil Ruston had terrible break and locally we were told without a specialist, he would lose his leg. The next morning we drove 2 hours to see Dr. Wayne. Even though he was booked for weeks,,he took Ruston in and said he would get him fixed up..14 screws,,5 lag bolts, a plate and a rod later and today only 5 weeks into his 8 week recovery he is walking perfectly. Was walking the first week though he has to be crated because as Doc said he doesn't realize he is still very fragile. The staff calls and asked about him on occasion as we still have a few more visits before his release,,Dr. Wayne has a nature about him that you can tell he really does enjoy what he is doing. What he done for us and our lil (80lb Catahoula) Ruston has been wonderful. Is it expensive? Yes..but the aftercare and before care and the absolute peace of mind knowing your dealing with a person who knows what they are doing is priceless. He goes into great detail to explain everything,,from the injury,,to the fix,,to the detail price list.. nothing is a shock and the care and compassion your animal will receive is unrivaled. It has been worth every penny to see Ruston have a chance at a full complete life again at only 8 months of age. 5 stars and would highly recommend to anyone who God help them needs specialist care.

This vet is one of the most arrogant, condescending people I’ve ever met. He was extremely rude to me as well as his young staff which were lovely. Furthermore, he vehemently recommended a $4,000 surgery. Luckily, we canceled our surgery when our dog temporarily improved. Months later at a recheck he couldn’t make a diagnosis, but he recommended we go through the litany of tests again ($800) to diagnose a problem he had already recommended surgery for. After waiting 1.5hr to be seen I declined. I’ll gladly pay more to Blue Pearl rather than give this man a dollar more.Update: Went to Blue Pearl and it was arthritis not a torn ACL! So glad I didn’t pay for an unnecessary $4,000 surgery!

Dr Wayne Waguespack and his team of professionals are such a reliable and valuable business of extremely caring and capable people who truly care about the animals they treat. And who are very patient with, and courteous to, the worried human family members of these animals. We feel truly blessed to have been referred by our vet to this facility and team, to get our beautiful Hawaiian rescue Hilo his TPLO surgery. First back leg last year, which was a very successful surgery and recovery. And second back leg last Monday, which yet again seems the success that dr. Wayne is known for. We are extremely grateful for dr. Wayne, for Kyoshi, and for all the members of their team. Thank you very much ❤ Or in Hilo his language, Mahalo Nui Loa ❤

The info about the procedure was great, along with what should happen when you're pet goes home from surgery but I think they can do a better job on customer service especially when someone is driving a long distance. It would be helpful to know of hotels close by that accept pets and less wait times the next day for pickup.. all and all the doctor is very good about letting you know how your fur baby is and following up with you 😍

Southeast Veterinary Surgery Center 8050 Fortson Road Columbus 31909, I would give a negative score if possible! The main concern of Wayne (The doctor) is to make money and not the well being of your pet. He constantly pays careful attention to new/first timers until you agree to allow him to perform services. After that you will never see him again as the doctor! He has a large staff of interns that are not knowledgeable about what they should be doing. The only time I saw Wayne was at the initial visit, even though I asked for him during my follow up appointments. The only way he agreed to see me for the final visit is because I was upset and insisted to see him. My puppy was not healing properly but I was told everything was fine until the last checkup appointment. This man is too expensive to not be available for checkup appointments. His final words to me were check up with your vet!!! Really, my vet did not perform this surgery. I am a very unhappy customer and I feel as if my puppy was treated like a toy being created on an assembly line.

Not sure who all the people are giving 1 star reviews but Dr. Wayne is one of the nicest and hardest working people I've ever met. He's always working late hours, weekends, and even calls you from home to let you know how your pets surgery went and wants to answer any questions you have. He's also the cheapest surgeon by far from the information I received so saying he's in it for the money is grossly wrong IMO. My dog has had two TPLO surgeries now and he even recognized that I've done this before and respected me enough to ask if I want to go through the entire pre-surgery briefing again. I didn't so he just touched on the highlighted and asked me if I had any questions.I like my normal vet but they sedate dogs to take x-rays and determine if they have joint issues where Dr. Wayne can do both in under 5 minutes.I happily drive 1.5 hours to go here when needed.

On 5/30/2021 my dog was hit by a car and required surgery. We were referred here to Dr. Wayne. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! They are 120 miles away from our home and we're spot on with communication and keeping us updated. They always told us what to expect next and they always contacted us right when they said they would. They also were patient, made sure we understood everything and always gave us a chance to ask questions. I never felt rushed. I felt like they truly cared about my boy as if it were their own pet.Dr. Wayne actually found additional, more life threatening issues that my primary vet missed. He saved my dogs life!! My boy is home now and on the road to recovery. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone!!

They answer my questions and have taken great care of Angel Bae. I have had multiple concerns and they address each one. Angel Bae is never scared or afraid to go. Highly recommend them.

I was referred here by my primary veterinarian after my puppy broke his leg and it began to heal with a significant curve in the bone. To make matters worse, his wrists became extremely weak after we had to keep him on crate rest for over a month. When I first brought him to Dr. Wayne, he warned me that we may be looking at some very intensive, expensive surgery to fix my puppy’s problems. Given that my puppy was purchased to be a sport dog, I was devastated - the surgery he recommended would potentially end my puppy’s sport career before it started. That said, Dr Wayne chose to wait and see how my puppy grew and progressed with physical therapy before he would consent to do the surgery, and for that I’m grateful. This is not a clinic that is only in it for the money. They could have charged me for an expensive surgery (we’re talking easily 5k or more), but they chose to wait and see how my dog progressed before putting him through something so invasive before they were absolutely sure it was the best possible thing for him. I’m happy to say that because of their guidance and care, my puppy has made a full recovery without surgery. If they recommend surgery for your pet, it is because they think it is what is absolutely best for them. I’m happy to recommend this place because I think they truly care about animals as well as the humans that love them. I’m not saying that your dog will have the same amazing recovery that mine did - every case is different. I can say that these folks are compassionate and experienced and know what they are doing. Calder appreciates you and so do I!

We brought our 6-year old lab/pit mix in for TPLO after a recent CCL injury. Dr. Waguespack is an extremely knowledgeable vet and his staff worked with us every step of the way to insure a successful procedure and recovery. While we did have a couple of post-op complications, SE Vet helped us through all the hurdles and after 8 weeks our pup is back walking like normal again. We were very impressed with their post-op follow up phone calls between appointments and could tell the staff genuinely cared for our dog. There wasn't a question or concern we hit them with that they couldn't answer. Sometimes the wait times for appointments could drag out a bit long, but that's pretty much any clinic these days.Overall SE Vet provided a very good surgical experience and I'd say we are very lucky to have a vet surgeon local to Columbus that can perform these tricky TPLO surgeries.Would definitely recommend SE Vet's services for anyone looking into TPLO procedures.

My dog had surgery the beginning of January 2021. They were not good with communicating with me about my dog. I called constantly because I was not receiving any updates. My dog was dropped of early morning before 7:45 AM however his surgery was not done until after hours. His two week post-op appointment was scheduled when he was picked up the next day after surgery because they kept him overnight. They called me the day before his two week appointment after 4:00 PM to tell me that had to cancel all appointments that were scheduled the next day and that they are rescheduling all appointments for the following week. The appointment was for my dog to have stitches taken out. The clerk advised that I could take my dog to their veterinarian to have the stiches taken out and that I would possibly have to pay for them to do that. Why would I take my dog to their vet to have stitches taken out when it is included in the price I paid for the surgery?!?! Makes no sense! They also advise you not to bathe or groom the dog two weeks after surgery. So now my dog is going on 3 weeks with no bath due to the rescheduling of his follow up appointment . With the amount of money that was paid for this surgery, there is no reason why things should not be going better or more smooth than it has been. The doctor I will say is very nice and knowledgeable. But it has definitely been a hassle since my dog has had surgery.

If I could give it zero or negative stars I would. Wayne is the rudest most arrogant Veterinary Dr. I have ever met. He tried to do multiple surgeries on my dog because he said "it's not healing correctly." Long story short, our dog is just fine now. Do yourself a favor and go to Blue Pearl. This guy is only in it for the money.

I highly recommend this Veterinary Surgery Center. The best vet & staff I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My husband & I had to take a family members German Shepherd there for surgery for torn ligaments on both legs. The 1st leg was a learning period for me as the caretaker for the dog. I called the office a couple of times & the staff were always friendly & helpful. The 2nd surgery went very well. Due to Princess ( German Shepherd) having a slight fever they kept her an extra day. Dr Waguespack always kept us updated & remembered we had an 80 mile drive. All questions were answered professionally & kindly by the doctor as well as the assistant. Huge kudos to Brittany the assistant that handled Princess. Amazing, Brittany is professional, knowledgeable & kind. She always went the extra mile. Thank you to the entire team.
