When walking into the building to speak with someone about my dog attending daycare, an employee immediately ran out to yell at me to leave. He stated that they did not take walk-ins, which was fine because I wasn't inquiring about daycare for this day. However, they don't answer their phone (I called multiple times) so that these questions could be asked. I did have my dog with me so that I wouldn't have to make 2 trips. I have boarded another pet here before and knew to bring shot records and that they needed to have a temperment test. However, it seems as though they are strictly appointment only. They should add a disclaimer on their website that they are not customer service friendly to walk-ins. Maybe the employee was having a bad day, maybe he yells at everyone. Either way, I'm glad I was able to see this employees true colors. I'm not sure my dog would be safe around him.

I've been using Playful Pups now for two years and they are awesome. We tried a couple other places in town, and they were not even close to the professional atmosphere and joy I feel when bringing my two Doodles, Hugo and Watson, here. They are always excited to come play with the others, and the staff are always good to them and they never hesitate to run off with them to play. They are exhausted from all the fun they have when I pick them up and can't wait to catch a nap a home. Though it's not my regular groom because I live a little farther away, I have used them a few times between grooms when they get messy and they do a great job with reasonable pricing. Recommend this place to everyone I meet, especially if you got a lonely dog at home all day.

I cannot praise Playful Pups enough! I boarded my sweet, 13 year old German Shepherd, Sadie there for 10 days after doing a little research on Playful Pups and other boarding places in the area. She did a behavioral test day and did fantastic. The staff are all very nice and energetic. They were willing to show us around, where the pups sleep, play, etc. when first walking into playful pups, hon will notice it smells VERY clean, which is a pleasant surprise.The pricing is very fair and affordable. I called twice during my dog’s stay to see how she was doing and the second time to add a bath before we picked her up. She was bathed, nails clipped and groomed very well. I’m extremely happy with our/her experience at Playful Pups and will definitely be recommending them and boarding with them again.

Checked out 2 other local places and this was hands down the best for my baby! They showed me the facilities, did a trial (free) day to test temperament, and offer nice deals on packages. After just a couple of times they knew him by name. On office days, I ask my little guy if he wants to go to daycare and he starts leaping up in the air with enthusiasm. He always runs right in when we get there and comes home tired, so I know he’s had a fun day with his furiends.

Playful Pups is hands down the best business for all of your dog’s needs in this area. Between day care or boarding, they are incredibly professional and helpful. The temperament test is an added plus to ensure your pets are socializing with other dogs they get along with.Though there were some unforeseen circumstances with my dog, I still highly recommend Playful Pups; with a special kudos to the Vet Techs and Rob who gave me some very solid advice with my dog.

Today was out very first day. I love that they do a temper test to make sure there will be no issues that may arise and that dogs get along. From the moment I walked in everyone was welcoming even others that were dripping off and picking up the babies. I will definitely be taking my Marley back!! I never knew about this place, a hidden gem!!!

Reasonably priced,friendly staff. The staff did a good getting my fur daughter ready for this summer heat. I would have liked if they put some bows on her ears like my previous groomer did(another state). However, I believe they did a great job on her. They offer various services like daycare and boarding .

I love Playful Pups! I've taken my American Bulldog, Rocky, and my mixed breed, Nicodemus for their baths there and I have been very satisfied with the job they do every time. With Rocky's skin condition, he flakes, sheds, and smells after 2-3 days of getting a bath, but when I take him to Playful Pups to get his bath, he smells clean and stays clean for over a week. And he looks and feels great! We now get a lot of compliments from friends and family about his skin and fur and they, too are amazed. I don't know what Jennifer does, but I think it's because she gives him that professional touch of giving him extra care. I will never take him anywhere else and I will gladly pay $40 a week just to take him there. Plus, you can't beat and will not find the price of $40 for grooming that includes nail trimming for an 80lbs dog. We were also amazed to hear that Nicodemus played with other dogs. With him being 100lbs, it's hard to find a playmate. I plan on taking him to day care at least 2x a week just so he gets the socialization he needs and can get at Playful Pups. Also, it's such a clean environment, it's inviting and has a comfortable setting. I have no hesitation when it comes to Playful Pups. I love this place!

Took me 165lb Saint Bernard there and their property is HUGE and cute which made me feel instantly good that they were professionals and business was doing well. I got my Saint back squeaky clean and fully dry (which is difficult to do). The staff absolutely loved him and were loving on him from the start which made me feel good about leaving him with them. I definitely recommend for those who have a hard time trusting dog groomers/boarders.

My dog Ollie loves Playful Pups. The staff are very friendly and they have given me good advice in dealing with him. He goes there at least once a week for the last 8 months and is always so excited when he gets there and exhausted when he gets home. I've also boarded him several times and he always comes home clean and happy. They have done his nails for me, something the vet has had trouble doing and were nicely done. I highly recommend Playful Pups.

Y'all this place is awesome! It is great for daycare and boarding! They always take good care of my pup. They even took great care of him when he was a little sick and were super understanding of the dietary restrictions the vet put him on. They also send home these adorable report cards that tell you how your dog did today! My dog always come home exhausted and I love it!

Playful pups has been wonderful! I had tried similar places in the area but this one stood out from the rest. They knew me & my dog by name the second time I came in! Even though my puppy is only 4 months old & a little shy, I feel comfortable leaving her there because the staff is so friendly to her & they separate the dogs by temperament & size. I recommend Playful Pups to everyone I know wanting to get their dog socialized in a safe, clean, & fun environment!

We have a 6 month old - 50lb puppy and this was her first time boarding. I chose playful pups because I loved that the dogs get to play together. I really wanted my dog to get exercise and socialization. I was super nervous but after dropping her off I felt very comfortable and they put my mind at ease. She was there for 5 nights and I called a few times to check on her and they were great, always told me what she was up to, even when she ate her bed one night. Which was expected because she loves to chew. I called short notice and asked them to give her bath before we picked her up and that was 100% worth it! She came back clean and smelling awesome! She did have quite a few nics from all the playing, but nothing bad, just normal play. The staff were all awesome and really seemed to care for my dog. We will be moving soon but will be back if we need. Great boarding, take your dog here! Thanks Playful Pups!

Playful Pups has returned sanity to our lives. Tilly, our lab mix puppy is high energy and before we found Playful Pups ('school), she was exhausting for us to keep up with when we returned home from work. She plays all day with the other medium sized dogs and even receives some basic obedience training.The daily social interaction with people and other dogs has been great for her. The facilities are clean and the staff are all very friendly.We are very happy with this company and the service provided.

After trying another boarding facility, and realizing that just because I like it doesn't mean my fur baby does too, I was send here by a loyal customer.From the get-go my husband and I were very impressed by the staff's friendliness and professionalism. They were also very loving to our baby, which is something we definitely pay attention to. At the end of the first day of daycare, I was very pleased to realize that my baby wasn't rushing to get out of there. Nonetheless, I decided to give it another try a week later. It was just as pleasant of an experience as the one before.Needless to say that I'll keep taking my baby to Playful Pups because we've had nothing but good experiences with daycare and grooming, and my fur baby goes in wagging his tail so I know that he loves it too.I keep recommending it and the ones that have used it love it as well.

Our two pups Rebel and Jax are two wild high energy dogs, and I am so impressed at how well the staff handles them. We take our pups to Playful Pups twice a week, sometimes three times for daycare, and every time we turn the corner to their facility, our dogs go crazy in the car. They are always so excited to go in the morning, and are always completely exhausted in the afternoon. Playful Pups posts photos on Facebook of the dogs playing which I love to check in on at work!! I have tried many doggy daycare facilities and boarding options and Playful Pups is by far the BEST! We love them and we hope that when we move to Hawaii in two months we can find someplace nearly as great as Playful Pups!!

We picked playful pups to board our 2 large dogs after they came highly recommended by our neighbors. At drop off the kennel seemed wonderful, they even did a temperament test with the dogs which made us feel good about boarding them there. We even called while on vacation and the staff was very pleasant in updating us on how our dogs were doing. That is where our good experience ended. When we picked up our dogs we noticed that one of them was bleeding from just above her eye. When confronted the staff stated they had no idea when and how this happened. They examined the laceration and noted it to be superficial and advised me it should be fine. We took her home, washed the lesion and decided to keep an eye on it. They next morning our dogs eye was completely swollen shut and was so painful she wouldn't eat. We took her to the vet and after multiple shots and an incision and drainage we are hoping she is on the mend. Now, I understand things happen at a dog kennel, I understand they are dogs and they get hurt sometimes. I even worked at a kennel as a teenager and I am familiar with how this works. However, the reason I am so upset is that this was handled poorly. The kennel never advised us something happened (there was enough blood it was on our other dog-- they should/must have noticed). I called back after the vet appointment and canceled a previously made second reservation- I voiced my concerns again to a staff member who advised me someone is always with the dogs. When I then asked-- well, what happened then, he again had no answer. I am upset we had a poor experience, because this kennel seemed like a great place for our dogs. If the kennel was up front with us and advised us there was a problem, I think this would have been different.**Update** My dog ended up having surgery to fix her injury, and it seems she is doing much better. I spoke to the owner who was very apologetic and offered to pay for her vet bills. Still think this should have been handled better, however after speaking to the owner I feel they do have a good facility that does care about the animals they are caring for. Hoping our next experience with them will be better.

Love the staff here! They are always very accommodating to our needs and take SUCH great care of our ShihTzu. They even arranged for her to get her vaccinations while we were gone. HIGHLY recommend them for any boarding or grooming needs!

We recently took our dog here for a day and she was very happy when we picked her up (and had a doggie day care hangover for about 2 days afterward from all the playing). Our pup is small and she was placed in a room with other small dogs. The facility is clean. Staff are courteous and professional.

I brought my black lab to Playful Pups at the recommendation of my neighbors, the Greens. They raved about how much their dog Kikko loves going there. After Jet's first day I could see why! The staff is excellent and you can tell they really love their job. He came home exhausted and that is rare for him as he wears out my kids! We haven't needed to board him yet but when the time comes he will stay at Playful Pups!! Their prices are very reasonable for daycare and grooming (no where else can you get your large breed dog a bath and nail trim for under $50) and they even offer daycare packages if your pup needs to go often. Jet was even a guest at Kikko's birthday party (how stinkin cute is that?). I highly recommend Playful Pups to all dog owners.

We LOVE Playful Pups!! Our Lola goes to "school" there to play and always has a wonderful time and comes home worn out from a great day! They go above and beyond what I would have ever imagined a doggie daycare would do...they post pictures on Facebook so you can see your "baby" while they play, they take them to the vet for you if you are working (thank you again!), and they genuinely love your pet like you do! We will feel so comfortable leaving Lola there while we are at work or if we go out of town, it's almost like it's become her home away from home! We highly recommend Playful Pups to any other pet parent looking for a daycare for their pup!

My dog, Blue and I visit here every time we are in the Columbus area. I travel alot for work and am want to be sure when I do travel with my boy that we are able to meet his needs too. He adores visiting playful pups...we get a 'Report Card' after his visits which I read religiously and honestly appreciate. I never worry about him during the day as he has plenty of play time, nap time and fun. Its very nice to have this as a home away from home when we need it.
