Today was our first – ever trip to the BARKING LOT and we were so glad we chose this team of professionals to care for our pups. When I called yesterday, I spoke with Kevin, and he was extremely helpful and spent time with me to understand the needs of my animals. This morning, when I brought them both in, I was welcomed, and felt assured that my pups were in good hands. Our decision to bring them here was even more solidified when we picked them up this afternoon. My goldens are beautiful and fluffy! I also heard how well behaved they were. I highly recommend taking your pups to the BARKING LOT!Thank you team, so very much for a wonderful visit!

We brought two of our dogs in for grooming. Although they didn’t need hair cuts they came out with a shiny coat and a wonderful aroma after their bath. Would recommend them to anyone. We are bringing the rest of them two at a time, as we have six rescued dogs and a couple of them need regular hair cuts.

I brought our pups in yesterday for grooming. One of our pups has very short hair, the other's is longer, so they have different needs. And they are both fairly large (70+ pounds each). We came flying in the door and they were immediately swooped up by the staff while I checked them in.When I came to pick them up, I couldn't believe how good they both looked!!! I didn't consider my short haired girl a candidate for a whole lot, as she has short hair. But she had gotten just as much love and attention as my longer haired girl! And they both were so much happier, smelled good, looked great!When I got them home, my husband even commented that this was the best grooming they'd ever had. Great job ladies and gents!!! Of course, nothing stopped them from rolling in the grass when they got home, lol. But they still smell good a day later!!!

Thank you to the Barking Lot for making Pixie beautiful as always. Not many groomers around here are Familiar with the Chinese Crested breed but stacy and her employees always make pixies skin look sooo much better. They always suggest what products I should use to help clear her acne up. They also helped me figure out the cause of her allergies and what foods and products to avoid. We got her on a bath schedule to treat her skin and its almost completely cleared up. I work crazy hours and they always work with me on letting Pixie stay there as long as I need her to or as short as I need her to depending on my schedule that day. They are so observant, and always call if pixies stomach issues act up or if they have a concern. They also always cut her hair exactly like I like it. Best groomer around. Definitely give them a try if you havnt. You won't be sorry. They do only take cash or local checks. When we were a new client it was cash only but after being established we were allowed to give checks. They are a small, local owned business and I get why they don't take debit, so I am happy to pay cash or check. The staff always handles themselves professionally and respectfully. Today I witnessed a man fussing at the girl checking in because he had to go to work and she was taking to long. She politely told him that she would be with him in a second and after a smile and nice attitude the man changed his tone and apologized. It takes class and patience to be in the customer service industry...and these guys are great handling themselves. We always try to leave a nice hefty tip to show our appreciation.

Love, love love the Barking Lot team! There are very few groomers who take the time to know you and your pets, and make their care a priority. Spaniels can be knuckleheads, and mine aren’t always predictable. Stacy is a pup-whisperer, and figures out how to make them happy. This is a very familial environment, where everyone is treated very well. Disclaimer: I have known Stacy most of my life, and the long-standing trust and her talent are everything.

I can not express how much I LOVE the barking lot. Not only do my dogs always look great, but the staff is beyond amazing. They go above and beyond to help make sure your animals not only look great, but feel great. The staff are all extremely talented and definitely "animal people" and are all very kind, caring and loving. They are Often doing more than their job entails, and it shows they are there because they love it. I wouldn't ever take my dogs anywhere else's ever again for boarding and grooming. My dogs love Mrs Stacy and are always super excited to see her. They come back happy, clean, and relaxed when I pick them up.

We are so glad to have found The Barking Lot! They really listened to what the needs our our dogs are, both medically and personality-wise, and adjusted how they approached their grooming accordingly. Their grooms are exactly what we wanted, plus some adorable little holiday wear as an extra bonus. Also, they did a wonderful job with the nails on our recent rescue who was terrified to have them done. They knew just how to keep her calm and did a great job!

This is the only place I'll take my dog for grooming and boarding. Every time I leave him, they treat him like family. We last left him for 10 days and he came back to us fresh and clean, and most of all happy. The personal attention the give him is key with his separation anxiety. I'd give 10 stars if I could

Groomed and boarded two of my dogs here for 10 years+; and now that my one remaining dog is elderly, we gladly pay the extra to have Stacy bring her awesome mobile grooming vehicle to our home to care for our older child. She is awesome and really, truly cares. WE LOVE THE BARKING LOT!!!!!!!

Stacy & Kevin were both so welcoming to our 3 pups. When we walked in the homey business was so clean, and the other dogs were so quiet and relaxed in the next room! We’ve left them a few other places before and they always come out so restless to get out the door and desperate for attention as though they’ve hardly gotten any during their stay. When we picked them up from The Barking Lot they were excited to see us but also very content and happy hanging around! We could tell they loved on them like their own. Also loved that we got to bring in all their favorite things and that they were personally walked (their favorite!) Would give 10 stars if we could! Highly recommend.

Allow me to address your review, This place is a FRAUD!!!!When the owner contacted my mother a few hours after dropping our dog Harley off. She was very disrespectful and rude, The owner sounded disgusted that my moms dog had worms, The owner lied my moms dog never had worms, my mom instantly contacts her veterinarian and takes her dog Harley into get her tested at Mount Yonah animal hospital,I’m posting these results and to warn others about the lies and fraudulent actions of Barking Lot. The owner took money from my mother for a sterilization fee that never happened, my mothers dog is in perfect health with no parasites of any kind, who knows what else this establishment is lying about, definitely would not take your dog here!!!!!!!!!!BEWARE

Oh my, this place!!!! We took our dog to have her nails trimmed. After 3.5 hours not only did she not get them trimmed, we paid full price $ 45. There was no mention of a refund, just next time you bring her in we'll do it for free. Not gonna be a next time, nope! This is not even half of the story, my dog was called a heathen, we discovered the nails weren't trimmed, they only had one set of nail trimmers in a boarding and grooming salon; just not a good experience. Oh, and the kicker, we were told to use a nail file to smooth off the edges of her nails!!!The entire reason, she was there in the first place!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously ridiculous 🙄

I have left my Golden Doodle for week long stays with these folks, and she always comes home happy. The owners are easy to work with when coordinating drop off and pick up times. They treat our girl like their own! They’ve also just moved to a new house off of the square, which is more bright and had a great feel! It’s nice to know there’s a place like this to send our girl when she can’t tag along with us!

Let me tell you how much I LOVE Stacy and her team!! They do a phenomenal job! She is truly a dog person and my dog loved being pampered and groomed by her so much he whined to go back the next day! I highly highly recommend her as a groomer for your pup!! These ladies are courteous, caring, and so professional!

Stacey and her trusted staff are some of the best in our industry. I had the pleasure of meeting them, and touring their facility. I was impressed!The reception area is comfortable and inviting. The salon is safe, clean and well-lit to ensure a positive experience for the dogs being groomed. I got to meet her son, Raleigh, who helps distribute plenty of love and cuddles to the pups who visit.In all honesty, I've never had my dogs groomed here. I'm just a fellow groomer who got to visit their shop and saw how they operate.After my experience there, I would personally recommend them to any of my friends if they were staying near Helen, GA on vacation looking for a trustworthy groomer in the area. Or if anyone I know was planning on moving near Cleveland, GA, and needed a good dog groomer. I'd recommend Stacy, and her wonderful team at Barking Lot! 🙌

My dogs are very comfortable and happy going into the Barking Lot. When they are picked up, aside from looking fantastic, their demeanor tells me that they had a great experience. One of my dogs gets so excited as soon as I pull into the parking area. He’s a diva and he loves getting pampered. The owner and staff are professional, treat their clients with care and kindness and communicate with their customers. My fur babies will never go anywhere else but the Barking Lot.

This place is GREAT!! I loved the time they spent with me in understanding what I wanted done with my dog. The place looked and smelled so clean. You can tell that they truly LOVE what they do! Me and my girlfriend came in today just to drop off my aunts bulldog Masie, what I thought was going to be a normal trip turned into meeting the sweetest two woman I’ve ever talked to in the county! I wish I could give six stars really, they treat every dog as if it’s there own I believe I will be trusting them with my pets for many more generations.

We love this place! We take our small dog for grooming regularly and have always been happy with the results. We also use the boarding from time to time. We love the boarding area. I am always confident when I leave my dog when we are heading for vacation that he will be cared for. We are able to text to check on our dog Toby any time during his stay. It is so clean and designed to calm your pet. Better than all this is the owner, Staci. She cares for Toby as if he was her own. She makes sure he is treated like royalty when he is there. The Barking lot is a great place!

First time we took our 2 Golden’s and 1 Doberman everything was outstanding, higher than 5 star, dogs came out “smiling”, clean and shiny with everything from fresh breath to nails cut. Price was very good. Next time the price was higher and they didn’t come out the same. So knowing everyone can have an off day we took them back a few months ago and while nail trimming was part of the package their nails looked and felt the same as when they went in. Young gal said we can take them back in to trim their nails but we had waited 3-4 hours around town already. Our dogs are brushed and in decent shape when they go. Price was even higher. I will say quite a few months went by between visits. That could account for a bit of a price increase. Something to be said for consistency, doing that great job every time. Each time employees were different. Full disclosure 3rd time was right after they reopened after COVID 19 hit. In retrospective I wish I had just talked to the owner.
