We were visiting Clayton and saw there was a cat cafe near where we were visiting. We decided to go! The rates were reasonable, and we spent 30 minutes there. We got a hot tea, but that honestly was not the main draw of our visit. The cats were so cute and playful, and clearly are well taken care of here. There is a way to adopt most of the cats that live here, and it is a great way to socialize them to live in a forever home. If I did not have restrictions on pets at my current place of living, I would have totally adopted one of these cats… I will consider adopting here once I move to a place that will let me have another animal!

We stopped here on our way back home from NC and I loved it. We paid $8 each of us to stay with the kitties for 30 min. As you can see from the pic, there are some very sweet and cuddly kitties that are waiting for their forever home. If I lived there or was driving a better car to hold him I would have probably adopted him on the spot 😭 I also got several cat stickers which are just the cutest

This place is awesome. My wife and I really can’t have a cat……we have dogs, the doors are always open and we are surrounded by wildlife, lots of coyotes, owls, bobcats and so on. So, we come here about once a week just to hang with the wonderful cats that are up for adoption. The staff are great…..they have a big selection of both hot and cold drinks. This place is a lot of fun. Thank you to whoever thought up this idea……I hope more places will do this.

What a wonderful little place! It is super evident that the owner is passionate about loving on these cats and getting them adopted. We spent some time chatting with her and loving on all of the kitties - they were all so sweet! Even if you aren’t able to adopt you should still stop by and visit with the cats- proceeds go to helping her care for them. We will definitely be back any time we are in the area!

I've been going to Habicat Cafe for a few months now. The owner and her workers are very sweet and great with the cats. The separation between the lobby and the cat enclosure makes for a clean transition for the safety of the cats, though there's one very smart cat boy who is very eager to greet you (read; explore the space outside of his enclosure). Joking aside, it's clean! It's a unique and very calming space that has a modular set up - things can be moved around based on who is there and what the cats seem to like. You can bring a drink in with you - just guard it from curious kitties. No food for the obvious reasons. The cats themselves are an utter joy. Each of them have their own lovely personalities and are very keen on interacting with visitors. If you are lucky, you will get a cuddle buddy for the half hour or hour that you are there.It's my happy place. :)Kid-friendliness: Younger kids are totally allowed to hang out with the cats with adult supervision - the cats are pretty great with kids!

I love this place! What an amazing atmosphere! It’s really pretty inside and the cats are so sweet and funny! You can get coffee and just chill - I didn’t want to leave! I’ll definitely be back!

No food, only Keurig coffee & sodas. Steep price for playing with cats ($8 for 30 min) which I understand helps go toward the cost of helping care for the cats, however other cat cafés I have been to have made money by their customer service and quality goods, so they don’t have to charge to play with the cats. Not much customer service here unfortunately.

My husband and I love visiting Cat Cafe’s and Habicat Cafe had the friendliest and most loving cats at a cafe that we’ve ever been to. The environment is really relaxing and the staff are really passionate about animals and cat adoption! Also, there is a pretty sweet cat jungle gym to check out inside! 😊 A must visit.

This was such a cute place! The area that the cats were in was very large with lots of room to play in. There were eight cats there today, and I honestly loved all of them! Staff was very polite and friendly and told us about each of the cats. Will definitely be back!
