What a fabulous old school pet store! We had a wonderful time visiting with the puppies, snakes, ferrets, turtles and fish! They have a terrific selection of pet items and supplies. The manager, Mercedes, is absolutely awesome! She is kind, helpful and loving. She has an exceptional intuition about animal behavior, and she provided a lot of helpful information about dog training and some background on behavioral patterns. She is truly passionate about her job, and the community is lucky to have her as a resource of knowledge and help when choosing a family pet. We had a lovely experience and will return soon for more toys and treats!

The perfect small town pet store! Over the years, it has become one of our favorite shops to visit. The owner breeds the most beautiful Mini American Shepherds! We love going to visit whatever litter she has in the window. They will make you smile no matter how bad your day has been. We have adopted 2 of her pups, and they are the best little dogs we could ask for. Definitely take any opportunity you can to go visit the doggies in the window! 😁

This pet shop is everything you can ask for! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice and friendly animals. Its sells snakes(the boas are super friendly and sweet), lizards(they smile a lot), tortoise, frogs, guinea pigs, colourful fishes, a playful ferret, beautiful active birds, and cute fluffy rabbits and bunnies! They also sell good and quality pet food, treats and pets necessities(they even sell worms, mice, crickets for your pets), and my pets loves it so much! The place is so clean and looks very nice. Would come visit again!

I love this pet shop! I have found a new place to hang out while shopping local. The owners' dogs are friendly and beautiful. I buy my own dogs treats so they don't mind that I have hugged other fur babies!

Love this place, is where I get all my pets treats and chews, and bedding. And if you order online oh, you're only saving like a dollar. I would definitely come here if you're local. Support your local shops!

We've been doing business with Pets Unleashed for a while now. Whether I'm making the trip or sending one of the kids they're always helpful and know their stuff. Store is always clean, friendly/helpful staff and amazing pets. We love seeing the new members being brought in. Highly recommend. We drive nearly 40 minutes. Their prices beat the retail stores and hands down best quality.

We love Whitney and the people at the pet store! They are always helpful and take good care of their animals. We go in almost every week for feeder rats and have purchased a ball python and have had no issues. The store is clean and organized. Best pet store around.

Love this place! I have purchased all 5 fish at different times and never had any issues with Any of them They all get along great. Everyone is very knowledgeable and they care for thier animal's. Went on the hunt for a lid for our aquarium Ordered one online from amazon first it arrived completely shattered... Pets unleashed was able to order the exact one we needed and called when it arrived. I Would recommend this place for anyone new to aquariums that may need additional information we received lots of useful tips and info we did not know about aquariums.Great place! 5 stars!

I have been having a hard time finding certain food items for a bearded dragon. Pets Unleashed had everything I was looking for. They were extremely helpful and spent time answering any questions I had. To top it off, they had better prices for what I was needing than the larger chain pet stores.

They have turned over a new leaf as far as customer service goes! I went in today and all the ladies working there were so helpful and kind. I had been in this store almost a year ago and the service was sadly not so great back then. I saw they hired better friendlier staff so I wanted to give them another chance cause driving to Cleveland is a hassle. Everyone working there now is super friendly so I highly recommend rechecking them out if you had a similar experience to me. I can’t speak on level of animal care cause I don’t know much about reptiles but their customer service went from an F to an A+! So I’ll definitely be getting my supplies here again! : ) thanks again!

Whitnie and her staff are absolutely amazing! They take amazing care of all the animals and have worked hard to get the store to where it is today! We go there weekly to get food for our chameleons. Definitely recommend Pets Unleashed for you animal needs!

The best pet store around. Whitney & her crew will answer a ton of questions about anything you could possibly ask about pets of all kinds. They are HONEST, you’re not going to get ripped off or deal with people who are “in it for the money”, everyone at pets unleashed wants the best for you & your pets & will give you the upmost honesty. I’ve had two reptiles, one of which I got from Whitney. I only go here for all my needs for my reptile AND odds and ends for my two dogs. I love all the unique products they carry for a wide variety of pets. ❤️❤️

EDIT, 2 YEARS LATER: I've been frequenting Pets Unleashed for a while now and their reptile husbandry has significantly improved. The workers are friendly and most tanks have locks on them to prevent people from holding the animals without supervision. Whitney, the owner, is also very friendly and helpful.The only thing that I currently have a problem with is the fact that they house ball pythons on what looks like aspen, which holds next to no humidity. Ball pythons are a species that requires 60-80% humidity during the day and up to 100% at night in order to shed properly and have proper respiratory health. I've noticed a lot of the ball pythons they have curling up in their water bowls to try and get off stuck shed, which would not be happening if they had the proper humidity.

Best place around the Clarkesville area to buy crickets. They say it's 12 for a dollar, but there's always at least double that. Unlike PetSmart, they don't count out each single cricket.All the folks that work there are really nice, there's usually some dogs and puppies running around in the store to pet on, and they have a good selection of fish and reptiles.Support a small business by shopping here instead of the chain stores!

This is one of the best locally owned pet shops in the area! We always love going in even when it’s just to get rodents for our Boa. Whitney is so knowledgeable about reptiles. I don’t know what I would have done without her expertise!

We go in here regularly for food, supplies etc. Everyone is always really nice and we are always greeted immediately upon entering the door! My kiddos love admiring the various varieties of animals! The place is always clean and organized! Never had a bad experience in here.

We use this as our go to place to get crickets for our lizard and dragon. We've also purchased several fish and a bunny, along with different odds and ends that you need for these pets. The family/group that runs this place has always been friendly and willing to help with what you need. They have some four legged "employees" that run around the store that my daughters have to pet every time, and they're very friendly as well. Over all a good place for your pet needs.

The lady that runs this shop is super nice and really helpful. She really knows what she is talking about when it comes to animals and if she doesn't she is honest about it. Its locally owned and a smaller business with a more personal touch. They have a wide selection and while it's not as large as the bigger stores they do actually take care of their animals much better. I personally got a bearded dragon, a snake, a tarantula and a few hamsters from them which are all doing great. They have all different sorts of animals and what they don't have they can help you find.. Check this place out if you're ever in town

I went to Pets Unleashed with my daughter to take her 4 1/2 year old son and his 4 year old cousin. We all really enjoyed seeing all of the animals... especially the snakes and lizards! We hope to go back very soon!
