It was an amazing experience to work with Charlotte! I filled out a pretty involved application, but I was impressed that Cedartown Humane Society was on top of their game. My Chaweenie had been neutered, chipped, seen by the vet, gotten the first round of shots, had heartworm and flea protection prior to adoption.Really Amazing!! These are nice folks who know what they are doing.

The reviews on adoption for fur babies sound wonderful. My review is about the spay/neuter service. I just want to know who the vet is that performs this service, I have never seen such terrible work. My Grandsons cat is a bloody mess. I have had many animals spayed and neutered and they never looked like this. Fur not shaved for surgical site and blood everywhere he goes. I'm totally disappointed in this service. I think I'll go to a real vet and pay the cost to get it done right. Now we wait till he heals and then have the carpets cleaned. I'm adding another comment, we found out why he was dripping blood, he had a curved needle in his skin at the surgery site, we removed it and cleaned him up and applied skin glue. He is in a much better mood and resting well. I do have pictures of the instrument and the pool of blood. Keep up the good work with adoptions but if this is how you practice animal sterilization then find someone who cares enough to do it right.

Nice people they fixed my animals 2 dogs male & female under $300 w/rabies. Everything we needed given to us. Just one small complaint. I recommend you go here to get animal & assistance if needed.

I took two cats in for their annual shots today and it was actually a very pleasant experience. The vet receives huge kudos from me for the very caring and thorough job she does. Have I ever been asked before if I’d like to have my cats’ nails trimmed when they went in for shots? Never, but they did today. The atmosphere is very pleasant, without the hustle and bustle of larger facilities, quite a few of which have “gone corporate,” resulting, in my experience, in a decline in care. Here, one does not feel like one is being hurried along, or ignored to the point that one begins to wonder if one has been forgotten about. Thank you so much to all involved in creating this much needed facility and in providing such meaningful care.

Took my dog max today to get neutered. He also got his shots and prescription all for an extremely reasonable price. The entire staff were excellent and very sweet. Highly recommend them. Considering the animal hospital charged me about $500 for steroid shot and ear infection.

If you are considering adopting a pet, I highly recommend checking them out. They are so helpful and kind. The animals are cared for and socialized so they are ready for their new homes. They make sure pets go to loving homes that are able to care for the animals. Thank you for truly caring about the welfare of animals and our community. My partner and I adopted Mack, a sweet little JRT mix who has been the apple of our eyes since we brought him home a few months ago. The adoption process through Cedartown was quick, and the staff who met with us were so friendly and helpful and knew we were making the right choice in adopting our baby even before we did. It's obvious from meeting Mack that first day that the staff here took great care of him: he's the friendliest pup you could ever meet! If you do decide to adopt one of their pups, make sure you fill out an application before heading out there for a meet and greet. The staff will also check your references as well. Keep in mind they get a lot of applications (midway through our adoption Mack had another application come through) so while they do everything in their power to make sure each pup goes to the first right home that comes along, you might not get your first choice dog. That being said, they have wonderful pups there and the staff can help you decide if there might be another dog there that might be a good fit for you. All in all the staff at Cedartown are wonderful pet lovers (they still ask for pictures of Mack) who are excellent at communication and assessing adoption fit, and we are so grateful to them for bringing Mack into our lives!!

I saw Noelle on line and knew I had to have her. She looked so much like my black lab the I lost last year. Charlotte was a gem about letting me get to know Noelle and make sure she was the one I wanted and that we were suited for each other.

We adopted our sweet Tippy from them yesterday and the whole process was outstanding start to finish. This is our family's 5th rescue adoption and we've had an array of experiences. Here, the animals are well-vetted and cared for, the communication excellent, the staff warm and welcoming. Our application was quickly processed. I recommend calling and doing the application ahead of time. Speaking with staff will also help in deciding on the perfect dog for you. Cheri and Dillion went above and beyond, staying late because they knew we were coming from a couple hours away after a soccer game. So glad we adopted from them, keep up the amazing work!!

This shelter is racist! Once the lady saw that we we’re African-American, the dog we wanted was “probably already spoken for” and “had oh ‘bout’ 20 applications already”. She couldn’t wait to confirm that she could destroy our application, Before we could even get to the exit door, she asked…”So, I should cancel your application”. If you are black or brown, this is not the place for you to find your next fur baby. Go somewhere that believes that love comes in all races.
