The hay they sell here is junk. Full of mud and sticks. See photo. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is the fact the carry tucker mill feed. They should be ashamed for selling this hay at $10 a bale. Black Horse is the same price and you can see it is much better quality.

Definitely not the same as it used to be! Employees are rude and useless! Called inside to let them know one of their workers shook their head and rolled their eyes because I accidentally parked somewhere they didn’t like. Dude said it was because it was a hot day and he’d take him some water. Sucks because it used to be a nice place.

This is a great local farm supply store. Wish there were more places like this around. They keep all of the basics in stock and have a wide selection of live plants which they grow in their nursery. They also keep a lot of bulk seeds and supplies for commercial growers. Better prices than the corporate chains and excellent customer service. No complaints.

Not the same place as it was 5 or 10 years ago. Little or no knowledge about products. In other words this is not the store to go to if you are hoping for help on solving a problem. I still go once in a while but more often walk out without finding what I need. Hate to see a community fixture fade away.

This was my first and last experience with them.My husband called two weeks ago to see when they would get Barred Rocks in.They said October 6th.He called this morning to confirm, and was told they have them in.He arrives, and they do not have Barred Rock, but they do have another kind he was willing to buy.He got to the counter to purchase them after discussing with staff about the Barred Rocks not being there, after he drove there just for them.As he’s about to purchase the other chickens, they promise to hold them for a lady over the phone.He offered to pay a higher price, explained he has been waiting for two weeks to buy chickens from them, and ultimately, it is against their policy to hold them.The woman at the counter called the owner, and they still would not honor their own policy, nor consider we had already drove the distance to purchase chickens.I didn’t know Mr. Ladd, personally, but being a resident of Cartersville most of my life, I am not sure this is how he would have ran his business.What’s the point of policies if you don’t uphold them?Why would you sell product/livestock right out from underneath the customer standing in front of you?Why would you tell them you have a certain kind, when you do not and be so inconsiderate after they drove there and was still willing to OVERPAY for what you do have?If the phone call and holding mattered, our phone call 2 weeks ago and this morning should triumph the person who called while we’re at the counter to make the purchase.Bad business from start to finish.

This was my first trip to Lads. Customer service and everything was great and I liked that they had a better selection of different fowl than tractor supply and while there, I had purchased 6 chicks and 4 guinea chicks. The very next morning one of the guineas was dead. I gave the rest of some electrolytes and are doing fine. I had called to see if they would replace the deceased guinea and was rudely told that there is a zero guarantee on live animals. While I still may shop there for supplies, I’ll purchase chick elsewhere.

Ladds Farm Supply has everything needed in one place. We buy chickens and a couple roosters from here. They are really healthy. We also buy feed for our animals...always at a great price. And they bring it out and load it into my vehicle. Everyone has been very helpful and friendly. A great place with great customer service.*I had to make a return earlier this week of some leftover supplies that we had from building our chicken coop but my husband misplaced the receipt. They just looked up the date in their computer and verified the information and issued a refund with zero issues. I would have understood if they would have refused but they were very fair about the situation.

Helpful and had exactly what I needed. I purchased Bermuda hay for my horses, Triple Crown feed, a dog collar, & a leash. Ladds had the best price on everything I purchased. The quality of hay has been good the last couple times I've purchased from them. I had a few questions and the staff was happy to help and helped me load my trailer with my purchases.

Back seeding my yard and the first retailer I thought of Ladd's. I knew that they would have everything I needed for one-stop-shopping, and I was right. The young lady cashier was able to answer all my questions. I submitted my order and she relayed my order over a loud speaker. After paying, I went to my truck and pulled in front of the building. I was greeted by a yard employee and directed me to each bin to fill my order. He even loaded my supplies in my truck in a gentle manner. The whole visit lasted less then 10 minutes, from walk-in to drive out. And the prices, honestly, I know I would have paid at least 50 percent more at any other retailer. Just stop by and give them a look-see. I was amazed.

All their flats of flowers are half priced. I bought some lovely flowers. Make sure you look in the green houses while you are there! Both of them are located in the back. You can drive back there or walk.

The team at the registers are always pleasant and helpful. The outside team is responsive to loading. I really wish they would carry more wild bird seed selections and a better range of dog foods. If they did, I wouldn’t have to go to Acworth for those items.

I'm impressed with the efficiency of the staff at Ladd's. They get you in and out as fast as possible. Better prices on chicken feed than other feed stores around here. I'm handicapped and can't go into the store anymore, but have someone shop there for me. However I have done business there since 1995 and they've ranked # 1 in all of that time.

They even have a new greenhouse were they grow their own plants from scratch.Excellent place, everything for farms, animal food, fertilizers, general supplies and much more.I was, attended by a very nice girl called Vanessa, so helpful and sweet.

Helpful staff, lots of farm supply items, but I usually get flowers, veggie plants, herbs and birdseed there...unfortunately they only have 25 lb. bags of black oil sunflower seeds for my birds now.

They have the best hand made high-back 4 and 5 foot wooden swings in Georgia. They sell a very solid A-frame made from 4x4 post if needed. All made from pressure treated pine to last. Highly recommended!

A guy was selling some of his personal chickens and a friend bought me one. When I got her and took her out of the box it looked like she had an infection on her vent and was going to be a lot of work to fix her up. I’m assuming that the rest may be like this since the guy didn’t notice her pasty butt in the first place. Also there are two much older people that work there and they always seem miserable/ have an attitude. I still gave 4 stars because I really like their selection of items.

No longer take debit and is cash only I needed meds for animals had to leave and go to Tractor and farm supplies they take debit there It is very unfortunate that ladds cannot accommodate the future and have debit machines (which they do ) that will take debit Good luck but if you only have a debit card tractor and farm supplies is your best bet.--- Update it was not a .is communication the counter lady with black hair and yellow top told me that you guys do not take debit cards maybe she was being rude and disseminating towards me I am a fat American after all

Ladds if you haven't been there well you don't know where farm supply is because they've got it all Tina Floyd and the sun and all the other associates then they have got their hands full at place he's going 100 miles an hour all the time but the reason of that is that got everything that you need I'm talking about for any type of animal any type of plants any kind of fertilizer someone besides pesticide you name it is there I've been shopping there for many years now and I find it to be the best farm supply around .
