A little surprised to see several negative reviews and I thought I was picky.. Have been shopping here since they opened, get my groceries, scripts, gas, flu shot, sushi fix all in one spot. Never had a negative experience with any staff and the cashiers actually talk to me like they have known me my whole life. My only complaint is that it STAYS crowded. Sat-Sunday before 9am is about the only time I will go.

Absolutely would not recommend this food city!! I was causally shopping when I overheard the Morning shift Manger Benji say some horrible things about customers and possibly his staff. He was also saying some overly sexual things to his colleagues while customers walked by. Please if you’re a woman and want a peaceful place to grocery shop I wouldn’t go here!!

Groceries are getting so expensive...... And we love the pre-made burgers from the meat department but they keep getting smaller and are being made from lower quality (higher fat content) meat. They aren't what they used to be when Food City first opened.

I love the FRESH fruits & vegetables there, also have some good healthy food that people with diabetes need n yes, most are expensive, but try be wise with the budget.

Fantastic produce section. Meat and seafood are equally great. Prices are a bit higher than Kroger and Walmart, sort of along the lines of Publix but well worth the trip

We've been shopping at Food City in Calhoun for the past year because we like the smaller store setting but I cannot tell you of one time that we've had friendly cashiers or baggers. They don't even acknowledge that you are there, don't say thank you and honestly, they all seem to hate their job and want you to know it. This is where many stores have this one beat. There needs to be better training on how to treat the customers. A hello and thank you would be nice. There also needs to be better training on how to bag groceries. We bag our own most days just so we don't get raw meat mixed with chemicals etc,. We bought groceries today and decided that we might need to shop elsewhere simply because of the way the employees at checkout treat the customers.

Does not honor their own price stickers that say WIC and have rude managers. Not only that put half the time the cashiers are more worried about their personal conversations than their customers.

Jessica in the bakery was amazing. We always get our birthday cakes here. This time our son wanted an Elvis cake. Thought it would be difficult to do but she did an awesome job and he was so happy with it! Thank you Jessica!

I use to go to food because it was more convenient, but food city has BETTER produce. Food lion produce is always almost ruined!!! And food city has great deals as well. The cashiers don't make you feel uncomfortable like the ones at food lion!

Went today to get a fresh rotisserie chicken because someone said the savory chicken was very good. Went at 11:30 AM and Walked up to deli and asked if they had any. Lady said they just came out and she went to the back and handed me one in a bag. Went to. Check out and paid $9.32. Drove home and removed chicken and it was obvious this was not a fresh rotisserie chicken and was dried up and tough and not even warm. Obviously cooked the day before or even longer. Could not drive back to store to exchange it. Just very disappointed because it was completely not edible and was planning to have it for dinner. Learned my lesson to look at chicken before buying. Just put my trust in the employee that said it was fresh.

This is a very well organized store with very nice staff. This is the second Food City store I have shopped at and they are some of the cleanest stores during operating hours I’ve seen.

I like shopping at food city. Because they still have check out people and you don't have to go through the self checke out like Walmart. I hate Walmart

The quality at Food City is at an all-time low. I used to go here for their fruits and veggies and they no longer pass the test. The apples are so old they are wrinkly and there is literally spoiled food on the shelves (see rotten cauliflower in video).It is a tragedy that somewhere that I used to love going to shop, has gone so far down, so fast.

Absolutely my favorite grocery store in Calhoun, Georgia by a long shot. Conveniently located within 5 minutes of our home, it is super quick to access and always has a great selection of our favorite groceries. The store is always neat and clean. There is also a Starbucks inside that is actually closer to a full-service location than many other grocery store Starbucks, and they have the best Reese cup cookies that are made fresh daily.

Love coming and getting our groceries here. But it would be helpful to have a portable scanner for the bigger groceries when you are doing self check out. Or have the associates come ring them up. Especially for the elderly. Too it would make the process go a lot faster.

I am a frequent shopper of Food City but honestly it's only because it's close! The produce dept is terrible! The deli people are rude! No variety on products which many times leaves you only having store brand and I DO NOT care care for their brand! Especially the Terry chips. Ew! The only positive thing I can say is the meat dept is on site but again the folks are very irritated if asked to do anything for the customer! Calhoun Ga needs more options

I really like Food City but I don't like the fact thatvthey allow animals who are no service animals in the store. I see all sorts of small dogs and one time a lizard on a girl. I can understand if the dog is on a leash and a certified service dog but other animals... You serve food and it is against food safety to have animals in the location. Gross.

I really did like food city. Now it's a chore to shop there. No check outs open till 10:00am the workers are rude. Bakery never has boxes to but your doughnuts in and if you ask someone for a box it's like it kills them to get one. So bottom line is I only go there if I just got to have a item the only have.

F this store. It was good for a few weeks after it opened. It's awful now.Just carry a normal head of broccoli. I'm not paying for individually overpriced tiny crowns or $9 for again, plastic wrapped broccoli.I hate this store. I loved it originally because of the produce selection.I won't be back for a while. Kroger is at least consistent

One lady was coughing and didn't cover her mouth, and the other lady sneezed and didn't cover her mouth either. Then the same lady came to take my order, and she was very rude. She acted like it was a BIG burden for her to wait on us. I understand they were short handed, but customers shouldn't be made to feel like trouble.

Most well stocked grocery store I have ever been in. Fantastic variety. About 15 brands of ice cream. An in store Starbucks. Deli, bakery, florist. A large sitting area by the Deli.
