This clinic provides the most rational and compassionate care my animals have received anywhere. I recently took in a dying friend's dog and he was diagnosed with a terminalillness. The best vet and staff hands down. My cat Lucy was having serious issues with her bum and tummy and we were both miserable. Dr. Ackerman and the staff there (Hi Donna, Jonathan and Macy! 😃) have been nothing but kind, patient and amazing. Through their help Lucy is on the mend and doing so much better. I trust them implicitly. They didn't try and immediately recommend a lot of unnecessary tests, they really listened to me as I rambled and nearly sobbed at my wit's end trying to find help for my cat. And most of all, I've never felt like just a number to them. They always call to check up on Lucy and they genuinely care what happens to her and how she is feeling. I (and Lucy) cannot say just how happy we are to have found them...(yes Lucy too, cause even though she cries when she sees you all...secretly I know she's just anxious to see Jonathan and the squeezy cheese!)

I had a good experience with them until recently. My beloved dog was diagnosed with cancer last year. He was very old and lived a good life. I had him for 15 years. After his diagnosis last year, he lived another year; however, he developed a tumor on his paw in March and it erupted in June. I called Animal Medical Care & explained what happened. The receptionist was nice & understanding. The office made an appointment for him immediately. My dog was in a lot of pain & wouldn’t allow anyone near his wound. I explained this to the them and they suggested a sedative & to cover his mouth with a muzzle before I brought him in the next day. I trusted their expertise & followed their instructions carefully, but the sedative (Ace pills) didn’t work as anticipated. I wasn’t able to get my dog to the vet for his appointment by 4:30 p.m. the following day. I called & explained my dilemma. They suggested me giving him another dosage so again I trusted them because I was very vulnerable and wanted to desperately help my dog. I rushed back to the vet to get another dosage before they closed. They rescheduled my dog’s appointment for 9:30 a.m. the next day. I kept a close eye on him that evening/night. My husband suggested not to give him another dosage bc our dog is elderly. Well, by 7:30 pm, my dog was out of it. He was very drowsy and slept throughout the night until the next morning. I was so thankful I didn’t give him the last dosage. By the next morning, my dog was still out of it. Therefore, I rushed to the vet without my dog. I was upset and desperate. I returned their muzzle and the Ace pills with my receipt. I was also able to talk to the dr personally about options for my dog. My dog lived another two weeks after all this. I called the office on July 11 to inquire about getting a refund/credit for the Ace pills that I returned and the receptionist initially left a voicemail stating, “Sure!” Unfortunately, that was short lived, because she left another message 15 minutes apologizing saying “No, you left the office with the pills.” I was like “Wow! That’s not right, but I respect your policy.” I’m left with these question- Why didn’t you explain this to me when I left the pills the very first time? Did you throw them away? Why did you change your mind?I wish them well, but I will not be returning.

My mother in law adopted a kitten from here about a year ago, was told originally that after he was a year old he would be covered to come back and get fixed as he was paid as an adoption. Call back, because my husband and I now have possession of the cat, and was told that his 50$ adoption fee did not cover neutering. Not only is the in contrary to what we were previously told, but it's terrible to know that a local vet, is adopting our animals that will only be long term contributors to pet overpopulation. We are now responsible for paying for his neuter by ANOTHER vet costing over $200 or waiting in line at a spay and neuter clinic. Definitely will not be adopting any animals from this vet, who would have the lowest cost of anyone for this procedure, we will just go back to the shelters who help prevent pet overpopulation.

The best vet for MILES, Along with the most amazing staff!! I have never met people who love animals more than this group! You and your pets always feel like family! Doctor Ackerman is an extremely thorough and thoughtful vet, and makes sure all of my babies are up-to-date and healthy with every annual visit. I know if I ever have an emergency, they are ready and willing to have my back. I always feel like my fur-babies are safe and in good hands with Animal Medical Center. Five stars doesn’t do them justice. The price of care is beyond reasonable for the quality this team provides. This is the place for me, AND people who genuinely love their pets♥️

PHENOMENAL SERVICE! I called here and I barely heard a ring, this practice is well oiled machine! I made the swap a half year ago, after feeling like I was rushed in and out of the OTHER vet’s office! (not naming any names…)The people in this office care, they have the best attitudes, and are always happy to answer any questions, and I mean ANY!!They will even call you and check up on the patient after a previous visit!

This is the VET for Me! I am new to the area and called to make an appointment for my injured cat and an injured dog! Not only did they get me in that morning with both animals, they were able to schedule surgery for my cat that very same day so I would not have to return for a 2nd visit. The veterinarian seems to be holistic in her approach, letting nature take its course before prescribing lots of medication, etc. That is my same mindset as well. The entire staff took very good care of my pets as if they were their own; they were friendly, loving and kind - soothing my pets' anxiety. All my questions were readily answered and they worked with me financially so my pets could receive their care. This is THE VET for me and my family. I can't thank you enough! Thank you!
