Employees make it less than one star. Out of the 5 years I've lived in Butler, I've met one nice employee. The rest have disgusting attitudes and are even rude with children. I was told once by one lady working the register that my child didn't belong in the store without shoes on; my child was under 2 and in the buggy. My children and i have been spoken to like garbage on SEVERAL OCCASIONS. The last few times I'd had enough and given it right back. I stopped in there today after school and soon as I walked in so my children and niece turned around and walked out. I refuse to spend money in a establishment that treats people that way. Hopefully something is done before the store ends up closing for good. I know I'm not the only one that's dealt with this either,I've witnessed it on several occasions.

I love this place and most the people but there's one lady I've never met that I went in every day the last 4 days and because I went in at 8:56 pm and they close at 9:00 pm she was so rude and arrogant I'm talking a MEAN I had my 11 year old niece with me and because it's in walking distance we go there but now she was so ugly to my niece and myself that my niece is scared of her like shaking scared she would smart off to me and my niece, slam receipts down not put them in my hand, she would tell me smart off so bad I said how come every time I come in here it's a attitude problem you don't treat people like that it didn't help and she would make me lean over huge metal things to get my own bags mind you everyone else she was nice to just me and my niece she hates plus does this in front of everyone it's embarrassing it also makes me feel like I'm put in a bad place because I'm supposed to protect my niece and I feel helpless. The first 2 days I said she might be having a bad day the 3 day I was upset yesterday I was angry severely angry I was leaving and told my niece come on we have to go make a phone call to make a report cause I've never seen this lady or talked to her on the outside of Family Dollar so it's going to be fixed you don't treat people especially customers with hatred period. But I won't let attitude keep me away she won't get that satisfaction I won't take kids there ever again but I will go cause I love Family Dollar I don't have a problem with her except don't treat people with disrespect ever and especially don't act like that in front of children and put the kids in a uncomfortable place and the adults for them acting a fool not wanting their kids to see or hear anything like that ever. Well that's my review.

Very Rude management, the manager Marylin don't speak when I come into or check out. Will speak to people before me and after me. Hand me my receipt and never say anything...sometimes don't even tell me my total after she ring up my items... this is not how a manager should act. Today was the last time I will spend anymore of my money in this store as long as she's there.. when she spent the thing around for my bag and it fell off the thing on to the floor and she never apologized or ask to check it to see if it did bust my juicy. I was done. I already rarely shopped at this store because of her attitude so from here on out not matter how long the wait is at dollar general I will be shopping there. Yall need to really check the people you put in the management position.

My niece is scared of her like shaking scared she would smart off to me and my niece, slam receipts down not put them in my hand, she would tell me smart off so bad I said how come every time I come in here it's a attitude problem you don't treat people like that it didn't help and she would make me lean over huge metal things to get my own bags mind you this was at night when the guy was there so I don't know if this guy did anything about but he should because he knew something wasn't right I will NEVER be back, I am disgusted by the treatment of this girl that had her OWN paid for chair and all of us who paid for seats were moved because we could not get on the plane to leave the plane was over capacity. They did this in front of everyone it's completely humiliating and embarrassing. I had to stand in a long line in my plane ticket in hand while everyone watched this innocent girl being thrown around hurt and embarrassed. She never hurt anyone so why would you treat her with such brutality ? I've been a flight attendant for a very long time I wouldn't have flown the plane knowing how brutal I know this is not your job at Family Dollar but I wish you could do something about the one on Bessemer. One time I was inside with my kids getting paid cause used to work for them for about a year and that lady that works the front register refused to let me use my discount because I had it on all my receipts cause I was using it at different stores because I work for over 5 different stores around the area. Not only did she lie to me about hours even though I worked there she stated all lies. Being angry today cause your worker was rude outside to my son and he called me crying so On the first scene the scene only showed the kids all alone at her house and it could of caused a lot of controversy because there were drugs involved in the movie since it was about cocaine. Well if your kid is already 8, 9 10 years old they knew what was going on even though they call it flour and sugar and flour so the age range I would give is 8-12. The Movie is rated PG-13 but I do believe it's really for 12 and up. If they don't put enough respect as a father you son or daughter may start having problems with their family or school.
