The Grooming Area has a top tier groomer in Dayna. She is kind and gentle and very skilled in her art. She has been a groomer to all of our pets past and present for the last 8 years. Our animals trust her, when they wouldn’t let anyone else groom them and they always look fabulous. Especially our little queen Molly. Wherever Dayna goes, we will always follow.

Just a heads up....Doodles get charged extra large prices even if they are under 70 lbs. You will get a whole story about dematting your dog...I have groomed ours myself before...they just lower the clippers and cut the mats out...clear from the pic. Very unhappy with the job they did, poor dog...will have to let it grow out and try some where different. Price is very expensive by the way...$145 for this. Talked to them, but they didn't want to deal with my dissatisfaction....so here's a heads up post.

I scheduled an appointment to have my Persian cat groomed about 3 weeks ago. I received a text message which I printed out that said my cat “is scheduled on 7/10/23 at 8:00 am for cat full groom with Victoria seen you then!” I responded Y for yes, I got there at 7:30 am and only 1 person was there, I assume Victoria and she told me she could not take my cat today!! I was livid, this is not how you run a business. I would not refer my worse enemy to this place, the other shop did the same thing to my mom. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!

Last minute cancelation. I was told I CANNOT book my dog from one day to the next in the middle of the day because she needs special attention. Well, I don't make the bookings I just take what they give me and I plan my work day accordingly. My dog starts shaking uncontrollably as soon as we park. Today was confirmation that I need to listen to my dog. I'll take her to someone with more experience.New groomer is very rude. Cassie was much better.

I don't know what the idiots giving bad reviews are talking about because Dayna is amazing. She took exceptional care of our dog. She was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she truly loves what she does. She is by far the best groomer we have ever used and I would recommend her to anyone. She even gave us tips and tricks to work on at home with our pup as he can be a difficult dog to work with. If you want quality and expertise please visit her. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Dana was too lazy to brush my dog so she basically shaved most of her body. Great Pyrenees are not meant to be shaved! She said she was matted all over and that was not true. She charged for a service on my other dog that I specifically said I did not want. When I called to complain she was not very concerned and told me good luck with finding another groomer! I had been taking both dogs to the Flowery Branch location for a couple of years with no problems. Too bad it closed!Follow up: Let me set the record straight, I was refunded......$20 for part of the service but not the entire service. Had Dana been a little more understanding about the entire situation, I probably would have been a little more understanding as well. Attitude is important.

I’ve been a client of this place for over two years since my golden doodle was a puppy. We went in for a regular grooming with Cassie , but Cassie left. The new groomer said that they would not be increasing prices, because they wanted their clientele to stay with the Puppy Pantry and not leave. When I tried to book an appointment online, no one was answering the emails or the appointment bookings/request. I re-emailed and called several times and the phone lines would either not pick up or they would be disconnected. I went in a couple weeks ago just to see if they were still in business, and the staff was just perplexed about the phone lines and email not answering. I booked an appointment with the new groomer. I took my golden doodle in today to be groomed over a month out of date, so I knew he had to be shaved down from being matted. The groomer ended up charging me well over the original price, plus $40 extra for a dematting. He now looks like a standard poodle with a bad bad haircut and he was shaved, never dematted! I have now talked to three other groomers, and they said I was completely ripped off and it was a terrible haircut. One groomer went so much as to book me a future appointment, even though she is not taking new clients right now. I would not go back to the Puppy Pantry ever again. It is so sad the way they are doing business now.

Used to be great prior to 2021..This place has gone downhill. The previous groomer, Cassie, was awesome, but their new groomer is snappy and rude.Had a 12 o clock appointment, they sent a text that arriving early would incur a fee (which is new), and arriving 30 minutes late would incur a fee (understandable). I arrived at 12:15 and was treated very poorly.Then I was told that my dog could only have a mini groom.When I discussed that he needed a full groom, the groomer told me that she would have to shave him at 1”. I told her that every time he’s been to puppy pantry, they have groomed him medium length.She then became very frustrated and changed her story altogether, saying that she would have to shave him even shorter than an inch (which I believe she was just trying to get me to leave knowing that it would be unacceptable).So I said that I would just get a mini groom and she said that she wouldn’t even do the mini groom now.So I left, and will never go back…Puppy Pantry, you have lost a 6 year customer today.

I bring our dog for daycare once a week, and occasional grooming. Everyone is very nice there and our dog LOVES going and seeing all of his friends. The groomers do a great job and are very nice as well. The only criticism I can give is that on the Daycare side, they are often in the back or busy and I have to stand around a while before anyone realizes I'm there to pick up my pup. A buzzer or doorbell would remedy that, I think.

Very knowledgeable, very helpful. My husband and I went in with questions about our dog and allergies and Lauren was extremely helpful with picking out a new food to try and help our baby start to feel better. We also had questions and concerns about feeding our pets (we have 5) a raw diet and she answered every one we had. We will definitely be going back!

First, the location asked us to come in for a temperament test. They were not available when they scheduled it. Next, we scheduled an overnight boarding for our dog. They were not there when we were supposed to drop him off (the person there said they had to run out). We went back, dropped our dog off, and when picking him up, he appeared ok. His blanket was wet, and the person indicated they had mopped. His blanket was wet with urine, not water from a mop. It is clear that they leave the dogs for long periods of time. If you are comfortable with your dog being left for long periods of time and not taken out, then it may work for you. Not for our puppy.

I needed help with with some dog food, and the little girl asked the manager to help me, and she was no help at all with her cell phone in hand. I also had to wait for the self wash to be ready, and I had to wait till the manager was off her phone. There were no towels in there, and the shampoo was like using water with no suds. One of the groomers asked me if I needed anything, and offered her shampoo. The staff in front of the store is very unprofessional and rude. I also had one of my dogs get a nail trim, and the groomers were very helpful. I also never received a phone call from the owner. Boarding was also very rude telling me they had nothing to do with the front of the store. I will never bring my 4 dogs back there again, and be sure to let quit a few of my friends know about the people that work there, not to mention the prices are very high.

I visited first a year ago and was impressed with the customer service and products. However my most recent 2 visits were very disappointing. Customer service below average. Self dog wash dirty and poor quality shampoo products. Dog food purchased was expired- they said it was okay to use after the expiration date- even though the manufacturer did not recommend using past the expiration date. My dog got sick after eating the food. They did give refund.

This was not a good experience. We paid for our puppy to be played with and cared for while we were gone for a weekend. We had used them before with our other dog. We got a call on Saturday morning,no voice recording,and we returned the call. The person answering the phone stated the girl that cares for the dogs would return the call at 4. I asked if anything was wrong she said if there was something wrong they would have left a voicemail. When I picked Zorro up I was told pretty quick while not a single person was in the store that it would be a few moments. The second words were to correct me and state that puppy pick up was at 4pm so it would take a few minutes to gather my pup. Then she said there was a note on file that zorro didn't do well with them so since he isn't a good fit,he would no longer be able to stay with them because he growled at the person who has been caring for the animals a long time now.My response was he is a 14 week old puppy and we told you he is skittish around new people and you reassured us that you would play with him and it was fine. He has never growled at anyone and he was scared as he has never stayed alone and doesn't know you.When she (Lauren) brought him out to me he was so untrusting and scared he was hiding behind the shelves of dog food until he saw me. Once he saw me he ran to me ,peed everywhere from excitement,and once I touched him he felt like and smelled like dried in urine on his coat. I have never been more disgusted than this for a puppy place. On so many levels this was a bad deal. I paid more soy pup would be happy and safe. Who cares for pups who doesn't know how to handle a scared pup? I would not use this place to save my life or my pups. Find somewhere else,please!

One of the best pet stores for dogs in the entire area. Also recommend grooming. Haven't boarded there to comment. Staff & owner helpful and educated. They offer a great selection of products and the best food qualities I've ever seen. Been purchasing Victor dog food there for the past 3 years. Brought my almost 15yr old female in for a pedicure today, she acted like a kid in a candy store. The staff treated her with gentle hands and great care. The is our preferred pet business for dog food, products and services in the Buford/Hamilton Mill/Dacula area.

My fiancé and I decided to board our dogs here while on vacation. One is 5 years and the other is 7 months. Our dogs were there for a total of 4 day and 3 nights. They came home smelling as if they sat in their own urine and feces the entire time. The smell was completely awful. I know dogs can be stinky but this was beyond anything I have ever smelled. I had to drive with my window down just so I didn't throw up on my way home. I have tried to contact a manager or owner to find out what went wrong and no luck what so ever. I had groomed my dogs the day before they went in expecting them to come home in the same condition I left them in. My puppy was also potty trained and has a doggie door at home and he is no longer potty trained and just keeps going in the house. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!! My dogs are like my children and it makes me sick to think how they were handled while there!UsefulFunnyCool

My beautiful golden doodle got BUTCHERED at the groomer. We went several times, had a great groomer who did exactly what we asked. Today had a terrible groomer who did OPPOSITE of what we asked and then said it was our fault! Owner didn't talk to me but said they would comp it but I would never be able to bring the dog back...LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT!!! Not that I would bring her back but still, it is the principle!! Owner was supposed to call me and did not. When I opened the door of the store, a dog ran out who had been in the store wandering without a leash. Turned out it was my dog but I did not recognize her!!!!!!! Just left to run free in the store/out the door!!!! Irresponsible and absolutely terrible service and quality!! DO NOT GO IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG! This is the only review I have ever written publicly if that tells you how upset I am and I will continue to warn everyone in any way that I can. They deleted my Facebook post. No apology AT ALL!!!!!! Wish I could post the picture!

I’ve been taking my dogs to get groomed here for years! Cassie and Victoria do a great job with cleaning and trimming up my goldendoodle perfectly. They also add on a super cute Bandana at the end or bows (to your choice)! They’re super patient bc I’ve seen them struggle with some pups who DEFINITELY do not like to be groomed and in the end do a great job despite the temper tantrum from the dogs, so if you know your dog hates having their nails done or being groomed please be patient with them bc they’re being patient with your pup and they try to make it as less stressful for your dog thus it takes a longer time to finish. Also bc they do such a great job they book up quick so I would call in advance to confirm your booking slot instead of trying to do a walk in.
