Literally waited in line over ten minutes to check out! Girls sat in the back playing with dogs and the other ladies just sat at their desk in the back no urgency at all. Tia then came to the front to ask if I need to check out and clearly since I’m standing at the checkout counter and proceeds to get smart with me. Like girl just do your job. You didn’t even greet me properly and her attitude sucks! Does not need to be in customer service at all.

My fur baby peanut has been coming here for 2 months so far. She used to shedding a lot. Tylor has been working for her, and I do see the result. I’m happy with the service here and the price is fair enough in this area. Recommend.

everytime i visit the buford petco, they seem to be struggling. never any associates, let alone nice ones, and i often find myself waiting in line longer than me picking out my products. i needed to run in and out quick, and it took me 4 mins to pick out my cat food, and 15 minutes to stand and wait and checkout. in the past, i have needed assistance and could never find an associate in sight. i’ve been told to climb pallets if what i want is so necessary and was piled under things. luckily, i only need to come once a month to experience this. terrible store.

Probably the only fish store that sells floating plants, which are great for small outdoor ponds. They had some salvinia in stock. They knew about frogbit too. You might call before you go, cause it sounds like they only sell it when someone local brings it in. They were knowledgeable and explained different floating plants to me.

Petco has a much bigger selection than petsmart, and they are able to special order you in any fish you want! Everything I needed was in stock! Great prices as well!

I scheduled a grooming appointment a month ago for my 2 dogs to get groomed. I completed all the questions online and their profiles. I arrived today for their appointment and was told that they cannot groom one of my dogs because she has a STABLE sarcoma that we have been following for over 2 years now. She was cleared by oncology at UGA 3 weeks ago and is not undergoing any treatment at the moment due to it being stagnant (prior radiation treatment was successful). I had the paperwork showing all of this and they refused to groom her still. They claimed that something may happen to her while she is getting groomed? (never has and she almost 10!). Anything can happen at any point to any animal regardless of medical history. She has been under such close follow up that she is actually less like to have any sort of “event”… she had a full work up with X-rays, mri, and lab work in late February. It was so discriminatory it makes me sick! I can’t believe they are allowed to deny services like this. I would not recommend to anyone 👎

For people that say “uuuuh” before answering every question you ask, they sure are condescending as hell. I told the guy i wanted to buy two tertas and a snail for my tank and he was basically trying to tell me no as if he knows my set up at home. I did a lot of research on MY set up before going in. While I was waiting for my fish, he was just standing there doing everything else. So i say “can I get my fish?” Then some a-hole that came out of nowhere immediately says, “NO! What do you need?” Excuse me? Im a a grown woman. Why in the world would you think that I think I can go pick a fish out of the tank on my own? Didn’t even ask any questions, just started talking to me like I was incompetent. She was snarky and rude. Also the place is tiny and overpacked and smelled terrible. This is why I go to Petsmart

I had a set appointment at 2:30pm. Michelle (groomer) called me to come in earlier. I stated to her “I’m at work. I will try to bring my dog in as soon as I got off. She asked, “What time would that be?” I said, “1:30pm.” She says, “Okay”I got off of work at 2:00pm. I rushed to get there. When I got there it was exactly 2:30 pm. Michelle stated she wouldn’t be able to groom my dog because she counted me as a “NO SHOW” and she gets off at 4pm. I have been a loyal customer for 2 years and never had a bad experience. She was rude and not accommodating to my service! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I WILL NOT BE RETURNING BACK TO THIS LOCATION!!

Many types of pets to choose from. From fish to ferret's. Guinea pigs to Rats.Bearded dragons to pythons. Food for most any type pet as well as toys, bedding, and much more. I would recommend this place no doubt. Hero enjoyed the ferrets the most I think.

I've taken my puppy ay the Buford. GA location for over a year and this is my last time. My puppy's appointment has been canceled 3 times. They are forever short staffed. One of the groomers was extremely snarky and loud. This is my last groom with them.The head groomer tries but it is not sufficient.

When we raised concerns about the space this poor tortoise had in its aquarium we also offered a solution. The first supervisor told us that she had little to do with any of it and there was someone higher up that we should talk too. She brought in her manager and the manager was very combative at first. She informed us she got pulled off of her lunch break for this. She said we are on private property and that she wasn’t okay with us having taken pictures of the tortoise in his environment (probably because she sees how cramped he is?) She said that the business provides her with planograms for where to put everything and those people went to college for this and there are doctors involved. I would be very surprised if one of their tortious experts saw this and said he had an adequately sized habitat...She refused to listen to reason and instead told us to “stop right there” and justified then situation through the degrees of professionals who don’t seem to be in store to look at the situation.It’s sounds like the store that publicly wants to advertise their care for “healthy pets” actually doesn’t care at least on this stores level, won’t look into alternatives or listen to the concerns of people who raise them. The business has clouded themselves with company politics rather than just doing the right thing and putting this animal in a larger habitat.I have filed a complaint with PETA. I will follow up. Hopefully someone from this store will speak up and encourage their higher ups to do the right thing.

I have never written a review like this: I would leave 0 stars if I could over the poor animal husbandry shown at this store. I observed the larger tank with 3 young guinea pigs had no hay. I then observed that the very small 10 gallon tank with 2 adults also had no hay, and the leafy greens were yellow from being old. As a pet owner, this upsets me. Guinea pigs should have 24hr access to fresh hay. I alerted 2 staff members, both seemed oblivious to them needing hay. Zach stated "we only give them a handful of timothy hay in the morning since it has too much fiber"Young guinea pigs require Alfalfa hay, not timothy. The humane society states that 1 guinea pig requires a minimum of 7.5 sq ft of space. And once more incase an employeeof this store reads this, they should ALWAYS have access to hay, pellets are not a replacementto hay. I will be reporting these issues and the lack of knowledge by staff to corporate. This kind of care and housing is absolutely unacceptable and cruel. Whoever buys these pets is sure to have health issues from the poor nutrition they are being given.

Customer service was great! I have some concerns regarding the ball python currently in the store. It doesn’t look well and the enclosure setup isn’t optimal for it’s required needs. Especially being in the store for nearly 3 months. That poor snake

Fish handlers were very rude and seemed bothered when we asked for help with the fish, and then wouldn't let us buy the fish we asked for. Unless you're paying for it don't tell other people what they can or can't buy. Didn't get her name, but the older woman was extremely unkind.

The ladies that manage the aquarium section are phenomenal at their job! They're super knowledgeable and friendly, and they have helped me many times when I'm trying to solve a problem with my tanks at home. So far I have had great success with the fish I have bought from this store, and you can tell they were cared for before I bought them. It's not often you get such a personal and positive experience from a big box pet store.

I will never return to the PetCo in Buford. None of the employees would help me or even acknowledge me. I asked for help from one employee and she basically ignored me. She then started talking to some man about her 7 month old kitten being killed by dogs outside. As someone who works at a pet store, she should KNOW cats should only stay indoors. Also, she was talking about the kitten being killed very loudly with my two children nearby. They heard it all and it upset all three of us. Very unprofessional. We have three cats and four hermit crabs, so we spend a lot on pets. We will only shop with PetsMart and Chewy from now on. If you need to go to PetCo, avoid this location.

Stephany did an amazing job, she definitely stands out, She went out her way to attend me find small breed food for my picky eater chihuahua. She made me feel comfortable after showing different kinds of foods, i felt comfortable and felt well informed with the bag i got this time!I usually do not get this type of help when i go shopping there but Today Stephany Made that different! I didn't feel lost in making the best choice for my dog!I felt guided and i can tell she really cares for the animal! A raise for her would not be a bad idea, her bubbly personality and passion for animals and customers definitely shines of her! Great job Stephany! And the grooming lady with orange hair aslo for being kind and recommending food as well!!!

Stopped in unexpectedly because Costco did not have one of my regular dog treats. Unfortunately Petco didn't have them either. But since they did have all of their treats and chews on sale BOGO I was able to stock up on some good rawhide and filled chews for my girl. They also have their specialty baked goods two for $3 so I got one for my girl and one for one of my favorite bartender's pup.

This store has a great selection of reptiles. I purchased 2 Chinese water dragons and so far they are doing well. Store was fairly large with nice selection.

I walked into this location for the first time last week and two young female cashier said nothing. Then I left a minute or so. I don’t shop anywhere where employees can’t even speak to customers for a greeting. I am a new cat owner and I needed supplies.

There was not much of an animal selection, and what snakes they did have in stock looked emaciated and poor. Most of the stuff in store is overpriced.
