I purchase a baby sulcata tortoise about 3 weeks ago and it is doing amazing! She had quite a few very healthy sulcata tortoises that aren’t scared of humans. The owner was so much help and provided the info I needed to keep my tortoise healthy and happy. Thank you so much!

I just found this place after searching for a new place to get my feeders, my expectations were low after my experiences at other local shops. The shop is very clean and the animals look very well taken care of. No bad smells and even the feeder rodents looked well cared for. Lots of supplies for my lizards and the staff (Tom , Sebastian & Cyndi) were so helpful. This is probably the nicest pet shop staff I have met! They took the time to talk to me and give me advice on my animals and they don’t mind taking the time to show the animals to you. Most of the snakes are behind the counter, but there is a list and they will let you see whatever ones you want without an attitude. They have a wide selection of animals and great prices too. I’m definitely buying my next pet here! They restored my faith in supporting local!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They’ve been so helpful with care tips for my ball python that I purchased from them. I always get my feeders from here as well. They take amazing care of all their animals, even the feeders. My kids love coming with me every week to get a feeder because they love to look at all the animals.

I don't want to give a small buisness a bad review and don't feel it's necessary, but just wanted to share our experience. We came in looking to buy our first snake.I've been researching different species diligently for a few years as I'm pretty obsessed with snakes, so I knew we were ready. We tried to ask to see some different kinds, but both of us felt pretty dismissed. We had quite a few different species in mind, but unfortunately didn't get to see any. They did let us hold an awesome large rat snake which was so cool. I was super excited about it as they're one of my favorite species. Past that it didn't seem like anyone was eager to help us find our perfect snake. Maybe it's just because they were busy? Or thought we just came to look or weren't serious?We ended up driving to another place and purchased our own little rat snake.We may try again in the future, but were pretty disappointed.

Exceptional customer service! We are buying our first snake and had the best experience here. They took the time to explain to my daughter (11yrs old) how to take care of and maintain an environment for her snake. This is the reason we will ONLY go to this store. Customer service and knowledge is amazing. Go see them!!!

Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. When they saw we were serious about getting a snake they showed us so many different ones they had available and let us hold them to see their temperament. As a first time snake owner (though my bf knew what he was doing) they helped us get everything we needed to bring our new scaley baby home.They even included an entire care packet with lots of important information to care for our new little ball python, as well as a 7 day health guarantee and recommended vets they work with. They also said we were free to call them with any questions or concerns so they could walk us through at-home solutions or recommend going to a vet if absolutely necessary. Gave me a lot of peace of mind with my purchase!They also must do a good job caring for and handling their snakes because they were all very calm and nice when we handled them, no agression at all, but we picked the one that climbed all over our hands/arms slowly and seemed to love being handled.The facilities were clean, well kept, and even while they were helping us they were quickly helping other customers with live feeding animals. There's a bit of a stink when you first walk in (its not horrible, just noticeable), but when you keep lots of reptiles in one place, I would assume that comes with the territory. All the cages looked clean and all the animals looked well cared for.Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking at getting a reptile. Come here instead of a petsmart or petco! There is MUCH more variety with morphs and options here than any other pet store I've seen.

My hometown pet shop closed so my mom found this shop to buy our snakes feeder rats. I like how it looks inside and it didn’t smell like our other pet store! They were having a sale this weekend so I think we are going back to get a milk snake. I thought it was cool that the snake breeder was there hanging out and her showed me all of the babies he made. He was really nice. I was set on ball Python but now I think the milk snake is best for us! I got some cool isopods for my bioactive tank and they even gave me a free plant for my set up. The lady who works there is helpful and showed me how to keep my bugs alive longer. I was having problems keeping my crickets alive. The other shop never told me the big crickets are older and don’t live more than 7-10 days, so more I’llget medium so they live longer and we don’t have to come so much. I’d love to come here every day but we live too far away. Hope this helps someone else find this cool pet store. 🤓

This is the absolute best place to go to for all your reptile needs! Everyone in there is so knowledgeable and helpful whenever you go in to get things you need or even if you have a simple question for them. I visit them weekly to get all of my rodents for my snakes and always end up staying to chat with them because they’re just overall great people! If Google would give me more I’d give this place 10 ⭐️

This isn't just a place to buy reptiles. I consider all the employees friends. They are incredibly knowledgeable about every animal in their store and make sure their customers are knowledgeable as well! Definitely make a trip to visit this store its clean, welcoming, and there is so much variety to choose from when looking for a new scaley friend! I have bought so so many reptiles from here and all of them are thriving! :)

A wonderful little reptile store! They have something for everyone! The staff and owners are patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in all things reptiles. My kids and I look forward to our Beardie's "food restock" day just so we can head over to CP&C to see, and most oftentimes hold, some of the amazing animals they have on site. We would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for, caring for, or just curious about reptiles! 🦎🐍🐢

Update: What awesome people! We've done more business with them, and the communication is fantastic! Cyndi is a terrific animal mama, and we are thrilled with our new pythons. I'm excited that we will be in business with Reigning Reptiles for a long time. Thank you, ya'll! I'm so blessed that we found you.They have a nice, informative staff, and the animals are cared for very well. However, we were not informed of the 4% fee for charges even though our purchases came directly out of our checking account, and they forgot to give us the 10% off for purchasing a habitat and gecko. However, we do plan to give them more business, and I'm sure these oversites can be worked out. They have a wonderful assortment of snakes and the animals are lovely. Overall, I recommend this business.

I’ve been going here since they opened almost 10 yrs ago. I have traded and bought different reptiles over the years from Cindy and has always been more then fair. It’s the only place I get my feeder and my kids favorite store in the world. LolThank you guys for the amazing service and fun environment

I live in Athens but wanted to explore a bit. I had recently visited Curious Pets and Curiosities, Inc on Wednesday in search of a new reptilian friend. I only had ONE reptile in mind. I was amazed at how well stocked, organized and clean the store was. As soon as I walked threw the door, I was taken back. I walked around and check out the place. I was greeted with a standard, "Can I help you, miss?" In which I responded and told to the guy (who was currently misting the enclosures) what I was looking for. They did not have what I was looking for (thus, my search continues) and I did not get anything but I loved what they had in stock. I love the animals enclosure and how they paid attention to the fine details to their setups. The animals are well care for and looked happy, healthy and ready for their forever homes. They even have terrariums, live plants, and jumping spiders (they had a variety of other insects). I was in earthy reptilian heaven. I even had some concerns about my reptile's set ups and talked to the guy behind the counter was super informative and put my worries at ease (I hate that I didn't get his name). In conclusion the drive was worth it and I will definitely be returning and posting and telling others about this place.

The employees are so incredibly helpful! I just got a baby bearded dragon for my classroom and wasn't sure what I needed for him other than what he came with. I went in and said HELP and they got me, and my little guy, all set up. I was able to message them on facebook with additional questions and they responded even though they are closed on Monday's. I am so grateful and will be back!!

Update: The last few times we have been have been very disappointing. The store has a strong smell, the enclosures were poorly cleaned and a number of animals were in spaces too small either for the individual or the group.I should point out this store is next to a gas station so we overlooked it at first, but it's a gem. The store is small but well organized and all the animals look very healthy. There are a wide range of various reptiles, all bright alert and active. They seem to sell almost exclusively exoterra, but have a really good selection of habitat furnishings and full enclosures.The feeder animals also look well kept, though we didn't get a close look at them.

Well I was disappointed in this place seeing as there’s not many reptile specific stores in the Buford/Winder/Jefferson area. The worker I spoke to was definitely not knowledgeable about crested geckos or their current care recommendations. Not only did I have to correct her but she started to get an attitude with me, which is never fun. I still decided to go by this place for feeders and was disappointed. It smelled so bad when I walked in, and I’ve been in my fair share of pet stores. I still stayed to look around at feeders but after waiting for some help (wasn’t even greeted which was a bummer) I decided to just head out and go to a different store. Let’s do better y’all!

I purchased the sweetest little leopard gecko from this shop a few weeks ago. Firstly she is now named Sabor and she is such an alert little gecko. My experience with her has been beyond my imagination. I have gotten her a few plants and a hammock so that girl is exploring each and every day. This shop keeps these babies healthy and happy until they are in their new homes. The ladies were informative and helpful in helping me choose Sabor. I am thoroughly impressed. Thanks guys!!
