Today my aunt and I brought a 2 year old and 4 year old in to pick a “just because” gift (something I’ve never done but my aunt insisted on). While at the store we asked for a price check on a few items, while the employee was stocking shelves. She immediately helped us then returned to her work. After my kiddos had chosen a toy, we’re headed to the checkout down the party goods aisle. My 4 year old picked up a small snow globe which I immediately told him to put back down… before he had the chance to put it down, he dropped it accidentally and it shattered on the floor. I found the employee that had helped us earlier, I believe her name tag said Harmony, and asked her how I could clean it up and pay for the item. She came to our aisle and cleaned up the area and insisted that it was an honest mistake and we did not need to pay for the 3.50 broken globe. I was mortified that I had let this happen and wanted to crumble into a million pieces- apparently my four year old felt the same because at the register he asked me if the police were on the way to get him. As a mother who’s as frazzled in this situation, with a very sensitive child that genuinely did not mean harm to any store items, I could not have been more appreciative of Harmony. I would certainly come back to this store to shop for its amazing customer service (although they would probably prefer we shop elsewhere ha).

This store is one of the best I've been in. Even with the a big turn over of employees/Managers the women are always friendly, helpful. This is a big store and the ladies are real good in keeping inventory off the floor. So store is clean and good variety.Side note: A few months ago I leaned that the stores are set up the way they are so us folks have to go on the hunt. Lol . So if your looking for an item just ask.

Actually I am pretty upset to say the least. I double check to make sure that Western Union was there and in use. I researched what I needed to know on the internet. I downloaded the Western Union. The app was saying there was no service at that time to. I was not able to get my money through Western Union there because the combined efforts of the Dollar General & Western Union require a phone number. the manager said I could not get any kind of assistance through the Western Union if I did not have the app downloaded on my phone. I had already found out the exact steps on how to get money from the Dollar General you do not have to download that app you can go on the line and do it that way. I had all the other information that I needed. Needless to say I was frustrated I got there at 9:05pm. They closed at 10 p.m. I ran across a friend while I was trying to get the app to download in the Dollar he loaned me the money that I was attempting to pick up from the Dollar General.so I'm so happy I'm going to shop now I made it in time and now I had the money to shop with. The older woman in the store with glasses with had a nasty nasty attitude. she deemed it be it to holler at me through the store that I was so going to be 10 minutes and they're closing not over the PA not come and tell me holler at me like a dog. I don't know for sure that she's talking. Being as I'm making my way up to the front of the store stopping to get some Benadryl I can hear the manager with her sarcastic voice saying well she better hurry up. So I proceeded to dump most of my things on the side of the store shelve. She passes by me on the isle giving me dirty hateful looks. I hope that someone speaks to her because there was no sense in that. I was not the only person in the store that was three other people around in the store. The younger female was being helpful. The other hate filled body was unnecessarily detrimental in her voice & actions. I have lived here for over three years and go to that store every week. I did not deserve that. I left so embarrassed & feeling bad.

Yay! They had my nose spray for my sinus issue.Young lady who at register was a sweetheart.However, you need a bell or a squeeze toy with noise to get your employees attention! They cannot stock and see the register.

Just verified a video of a cashier being amazing guy rude and hateful to a customer for the political statement on their t shirt. It wasn't off color at all and merely supported the 2nd ammendment. Don't go to this store.

Had a run in with a cashier regarding me wearing a plain white tee shirt. She said I was the problem with what's wrong with the world.But first you have to understand it's a very diverse shirt....60% Polyester / 36% Rayon / 4%. I'll never go back to 100% cotton. It's like im not even wearing a shirt, so silky smooth.

Will never shop here as long as there is employees like the lady treating the man wearing a t-shirt with a gun on it like she did. There is no reason for her to treat anyone that way because of what they wear or their beliefs but I'm sure nothing will happen to her at all!

You're statement says "we strive to make shopping hassle free," yet, a paying customer was hassled by getting cussed out by an employee for wearing a shirt supporting our 2nd amendment RIGHTS!! THESE are the kind of employees you want representing your company??? What a disgrace!!

You will never see a real trash can out front of any location.You will find @Dollar General, using the parking lot as their personal loading and unloading zone.Not caring how much trash makes it into your woods or roads. This is unacceptable how they run a company cutting corners and we the customer pay for it.You the customer have to show Pride and call your local Code Enforcement. Report this, if not they will continue to litter and trash your community just so you can save a few dollars.

This is the fastest DG I have ever been in. Great customer service. Quality employees. When there out of an item they will tell you where to find it. Two thumbs up.

The blonde in the video....needs educated about guns, this country and FIRED!!!!! As a business owner she would be considered a DISGRACE to my company! At this point shes a DISGRACE to your company! She has NO clue...yet small minds with NO customer service experience....explains it ALL! LET HER GO!!!!!!!!

I guess this is another company that won't get my money. The 2nd Amendment is just as important as every other Amendment of our Constitution. That rude lady needs to be terminated. That's no way to treat a paying customer.A boycott campaign will draw a response from Dollar General

I love Dollar General. They have most anything you need and the prices are much better than anywhere else, even better than Walmart. Sometimes a bit messy in the store but worth it.
