I have not had a bad experience with them yet. Every part of their staff is wonderful. The receptionist are on the ball and so inviting. The techs have a ton of knowledge and really care about your pets and the vet is great because he is non judgmental about how you want your pet treated. He gives you all options and lets you do what you need to do. Their pricing so far has been very affordable. They made accommodations for immediate needs. They are a great choice. They also service all types of animals.

During the covid epidemic, this was the only veterinarian office that would see our older dog. We have been going here since then. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The veterinarian is honest and straightforward. They see all three of our fur babies and take great care of them. We are grateful and very happy 😊

I’ve never had issues there other than when I brought one dog in with a serious inner ear infection and had to convince the vet it wasn’t parvo (he even insisted on testing and was wrong). But after what happened to Rusty and being told the new office manger told me not to come back (didn’t speak to them directly, was told that by lady on the phone), I’m pretty upset. Rusty looked exactly the same when he left, the vet never said “make sure wound is open” or give any suggestions to keep it open. In fact I suggested drawing salve & he just agreed, then when I came back a different day & said it was worse (when I got puppies tails docked), I was charged more for meds I didn’t receive and they gave me needles to put into his neck to let it drain.That didn’t help so I just brought him to another vet, paid $300 for a drain tube & he looked better within a day.The lady I spoke to on the phone said southland vet didn’t believe in drain tubes and said he told me to keep it open, which he didn’t and didn’t suggest how to (and I’m not a vet). In fact he said to not poke it myself. Then she said the new office manager said not to come back & just go to the other vet I used.The new manager is downright hateful and has raised the prices dramatically. BEWARE, THEIVES AND SCAMMERS, take your pets somewhere safePS- They make fake accounts to leave good reviews for themselves

Wonderful, friendly, courteous, professional, and won't break the bank country vet. Our visit with a new pup that we rescued on the side of the road was wonderful. They have what is called a puppy package and for a year it's one price, unless something else is wrong. It's a great deal especially having a new pup! And they have it for kittens too. The vet, is very nice and tells you everything you need to know and what needs to be done. We look forward to many years as our pup grows getting great care at Southland!

I took my 14 yr. Old terrier who was having a stroke to Dr. Wilson. No one else had an opening. He took him in on his surgery day and treated him between surgeries. I was so afraid that Sarge would not make it, but after 3 days he ca home with an unpredictable outcome in February.Thanks Dr. Wilson this is Sarge in August.

This is the only place to carry my pets. They are so nice. I am on a "first name" basis with the ladies there. They take such good care of my babies, and they are interested in what our Schauzer puppies look like.

We had a sick pit come there and the nurse who had helped us was wonderful her name was Sabrina she was amazing and so so helpful and did her work and made time to still talk and pet my dog he was a rescue and she loved him and made him comfortable as soon as we walked in there again she was amazing and so helpfull

Wonderful staff and Dr. Wilson is an excellent veterinarian. My cat became very sick suddenly and everyone made me feel very at ease and assured that he was in the best care. Pricing was extremely reasonable and I was never pressured into procedures or medications I felt unnecessary. Overall I had a great experience and plan on using Dr. Wilson for any future visits.

Had to put a much beloved 17yr old family cat to sleep this week. Cannot say enough great things about Dr Wilson and his staff. Courteous, professional, understanding. I highly recommend them and we will be going back when we get back into the pet life !! Great place !!

I recommend Southland to anyone looking for a vet. They are great with my pets. Very caring. I had to have my cat euthanized due to him being poisoned. I cried so hard and they were so sympathetic. I had my husband on FaceTime and they gave me all the time I needed.

Refused to help with my 15 year old dog that was suffering as he was passing away. He had been a patient of this place for most of his life. I took him to Bowdon Animal Hospital and they stayed past closing time to help my dog. I will never use Southland Vet again!

My sookie stayed the weekend with them this weekend while we went out of town. I was nervous because she's never boarded anywhere before. Of course I cried dropping her off and they made sure she was comfortable. The price was good 20 a night. The asked if I wanted her to have a bath before she came home and I said she didn't have to. When I picked her up she was happy and seemed to really like the staff. And to my suprise she had a bath and looked great. I'll be having a baby in june, so while in the hospital she will definitely be boarding with them again.

Will never use again sent dog in for grooming was not told about a price change to I pick up dog. That was about 6 mos ago. Then yesterday wife took dog in for grooming when she got there they told her new policy was he had to be up to date with all shots. She stated he was they told her later that he needed kennel cough. I called there and told them he had it April of last year and was good for a year. They said it was only 16 dollars and I could just take my dog else where. After having them them for over 10 years and 3 different pets ill never use them again. I used to like them untill they got all new people.

The services are the best I've ever had unlike the service of the Bowdon Animal hospital gives bc my opinion a staff member should not mention anything about giving an animal a bath prior to their arrival for any and or under any circumstances. Or at least wait till the owner of the animal is out of hearing distance not just on the other side of the door because they are not sound proof and you can hear everything going on behind each door what's been saying between nurses or nursing doctor. That's not very cool at all. And here this vet at Southland veterinarian on stateline road in Bowdon Georgia you don't have to worry about a staff member downgrading you or downgrading how you bring your animal in they do their job like they are supposed to and make sure that your animal is taken care of in the best of ways.
