There was not much more a person could expect from this place.We had an appointment and were on time, as was the veterinarian. She was very pleasant and extremely kind. The young lady who greeted us in the examination room was also very pleasant, eager, and knowledgeable. I would never stick my hand in a strange dog's mouth to make them swallow a pill. But she made it look effortless.I thought the place was a bit pricy, but you can not blame them for inflation....as that is the fault of the Federal Reserve....I will gladly say this place is my vet!

Critter Fixer is great! They are very compassionate, kind and accommodating. I have been taking my pets here for years. Doctor Hodges, has always been straight with me. He doesn't over charge and he doesn't beat around the bush. If you ask him he will honestly tell you. My 🐈 Fluffy was nine and developed fourth stage bone cancer. Doctor Hodges, did all he could, but she did not have to suffer. Thank God.. After he put her to sleep, he prepared her for burial. He wrapped her in her favorite blanket, and my husband went to pick her up, so we could lay her to rest, in our backyard. I since have acquired a 🐕 his name is Russell. Doctor Hodges has been looking after him for years. He is now getting older, and going on thirteen. He enjoys going to the vet. He is a happy dog and living life to the fullest. So, if you are looking for a veterinarian, then look no further, because you can't go wrong with Critter Fixer and Doctor Hodges 😊Carolyn Santos 👩 pet lover♥

Dr. Silva was amazing! The staff was amazing! My old Girl... Bella started having seizures and I brought her in for a check up. Dr. Silva and the staff were very kind and thorough! My Bella is being treated for epilepsy and has a follow up in 2 weeks! This is definitely our new Vet home!Thank you all! 🤗 🐈

My family visited for their Vet for a Day program and the dynamics between the doctors and passion they share for animals was palpable. The love they have for the pets in their care and the community they serve was obvious. It's admirable for the doctors and staff to give back in such an amazing way for free. Urging continued education and representation in the field of veterinary science for youth are worthy causes and memories that will stay with my furture veterinarian. I'm extremely grateful that my daughter had this experience and urge parents of children with a passion for animals to look into future opportunities for them to attend.

I can not say enough great things about Critter Fixer! When I need an exotic vet, they are my go to. The office is always clean, and everyone is so friendly and attentive. I raise backyard chickens and every now and then I will have one in need of a vet appointment. I took a chicken to Dr. Hodges back in 2022 and had a wonderful experience. She had a serious case of bumble foot. Dr. Hodges ended up having to perform surgery and remove the toe that the bumble foot was on because the skin was dead. He also did some x-rays because this chicken has always walked funny and seemed to be double jointed. He said that she had a broken hip from an old injury that never healed properly but is healed now. He said that she has slipped tendon but assured me that she was not in any pain because I asked if it would be better to put her down. I brought my chicken back in for a follow up to get the stitches removed, and she was doing great. She is still doing great to this day.Just recently I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Silva. I had yet another wonderful experience. I had to rush a different chicken in because she had a severe case of Flystrike that is to be treated as an emergency. Dr. Silva removed all of the maggots (around 60 total), cleaned the wound, and packed it with ointment. She wanted to recheck my chicken a couple days later. Unfortunately, my chicken had developed 2 other complications that were affecting her quality of life. Dr. Silva let me know that she was in pain and indeed suffering so I decided to euthanize. She let me watch and had my chicken wrapped in a soft blanket to keep her comfortable. I asked her what they would be doing with my chicken, and she assured me that they have a partnership with Pet Plantation and she would be getting cremated. However, I did have the option to take her home. Dr. Silva and staff gifted me with a sweet memory of my chicken that included her foot print, one of her feathers, and the Rainbow Bridge poem. I’m grateful for her honesty and kindness.My only recommendation is that they could start offering farm calls. I would like someone to come out and observe the overall quality of my entire flock.

My boy had a bad accident on a Friday afternoon, he needed immediate care & I called them & they happily said they would see him! I am so grateful for that because he needed stitches & had lost a lot of blood! They have been a blessing because it was a very stressful situation!! I would definitely use them again in the future!! We have follow up appointments to watch his wounds carefully & I am happy and thankful for them helping us!! Thank you for getting my big baby fixed up, so he can begin his recovery!!

All the veterinarians are very professional and knowledgeable. The prices are not as inexpensive as others in our area but the fact that they are so kind and loving toward your pet makes the experience worth the price!! The wait time can be long on some days but their attentiveness to your pet will put that part of the visit as a minor inconvenience. My toy poodle puppy Olivia Pope has no complaints!!

I only rate this 5 star because they are helping animals and anyone helping animals is beyond 5 stars. However, I am sincerely concerned about the care received, I never see an actual veterinarian, they are all students and they basically told me they could not help my cat bc there was not enough research for cats and got billed 58$ to tell me they can't do anything. Sent me home with a pamphlet of papers. I'm extremely disappointed and upset. Any one have a vet to recommend? Bc critter fixer is not it! Update** I sincerely recommend Southwood Animal Hospital, not only are the prices actually reasonable but the care and compassion is something I have never gotten from any other vet! And I actually see a real Doctor! What happened to critter fixers? Maybe it's the fame from TV show. Also when I went to get all documents for my cats they had lost half of the them and mixed up my cats. So glad to be free from overpriced poor care!

My dog Tessa has had to go in for a number of things. From heartworm treatment to surgery (for eating a tennis ball) to routine check ups and vaccines. When I visited her after her surgery she was waiting by the door for the vet tech to come back, tail wagging! They love her so well and I can always trust them to take good care of my Tessa girl.

This is from exotic perspective. I've went for my gecko. Felt when I asked questions I was belittled. Tried following up asking question that concerned me sent pic to email and called but no response back to me. And I still have something going wrong with my gecko that isn't normal. But was told she was perfectly healthy but the insane weight loss she has to me says other wise. Just frustrated as not only did I not receive call just to routine check on her have not got answered back from when I reached out few times. picture just to show how much weight loss has happened.

This Veterinary Group is just awesome. You can tell that everyone who works there truly loves animals. And they are so patient with the animals. Our furry girl was not ready to readily follow the Vet Student out of the room so I had to walk with her to get her to go. She was very patient. By the time the end of the appointment came she was following the Vet Student no problem. All the Doctors were great. Especially the Doctor who also has a Dog named Friday. It felt like being amongst family. And although I did not see Dr. FERGUSON....Dr Hodges manner of dealing with me and my Pup made me comfortable and he looked at everything comprehensively. I was nervous about the prognosis for my furry girl and he calmed my nerves, told me to take my time and allowed all the questions I needed to ask without making me feel like he was trying to get to the next furry patient. I drove all the way from Atlanta to their Middle GA facility. Well worth the drive and time and care. Thank you Dr.Hodges Dr Ferguson and all the wonderful staff at Critter Fixer.

Honestly, i’d give it 10 stars. The staff is incredibly caring and took exceptional care of my sweet duck. It’s definitely wallet friendly. I’m just super glad I decided to take my Lunita to this amazing place to receive the treatment she needed. When I first moved here I went to another vet clinic and was treated awful. I was complaining to a coworker and she recommended CF. I’ve been here ever since. I love it here…my dogs love here. Everyone on staff is so nice. They don’t advertise it, but they are in fact mind readers. I always come in and say “Gunner” as if he’s the only one there. The receptionist will tilt her head and by the time I realize my rude assumption she’d figured out which of the hundreds of “Gunner” that I’m there for without an appointment 😜. I think they recently added another vet and she’s been an excellent addition to the team. Also even the customers are awesome. When Gunner came out limping everyone in the waiting room cheered him on. When you join CF you become family

I pets to critter fixers years ago when the only location was in Byron. back then he was great; personally attentive, reasonable prices. ever since he got famous i can't find any reason to go there because their prices are 3 times higher than my vet and several others and at least my vet is on site. how come shots at one place are $40-$60 yet you can't get out of his (or whoever works they now) office for under $200. And don't even mention a teeth cleaning without getting a bank loan first. so disappointed that he forgot where he started. if you truly love animals, you're prices should be reasonable enough for people to be able to afford the care they need.

One time 20 plus years ago...I called Hodges personnel phone...He was out enjoying his personnel life at 11 PM....He literally opened his doors to his clinic to put down a dog of mine that was suffering .Well...20 years later I had another dog fighting for his life.. This time my boy has made a full recovery..Thank you Critter Fixer and there staff .. THANKS IS ALL I CAN SAY

Last afternoon in Friday of last week I found a beautiful dog in my yard that was obviously someone’s pet. She had a collar with a rabies tag from Critter Fixer. While I thought the dog belonged to a neighbor, when I went to their house, no one was home. I called Critter Fixer with the rabies tag # and they confirmed the dog belonged to someone in my neighborhood. The folks at Critter Fixer would not (for privacy reasons) confirm the exact address or owners’ name but offered to contact the owners and to keep the dog at their facility until the owners could pick her up. I drove to their facility, learned the pup’s name and that the owner would be there before 6 to get her. The facilities at a Critter Fixer were very clean, the staff extremely helpful, and it just felt like a caring, pet friendly environment. If I didn’t already have an established relationship with my own vet (whom I love), I would seriously consider Critter Fixer!

I don't see how anyone can actually be happy with this place anymore. We've been going here for many years, but since Dr. Hodges is gone all the time with his TV show, this place is the Worst. They misdiagnosed our baby and wasted 6 months doing it. They charged us over $2,000 in all of the visits. They even attempted to do a surgery & realized as soon as they cut him open the lady had no idea what she was doing so she closed him back up and charged us again. We finally went to a surgery center just to find out it was Thyroid Cancer even though we were assured by Critter fixers that it wasn't. Then while going to the surgery center we find out that the surgery that Dr. Hodges did a couple years ago on his ACL wasn't even the correct surgery and were told that it probably wouldn't last. Unbelievable. Never again, not even for an ingrown toenail will we ever bring another pet here!
