I cannot thank this staff enough for all they did, and are continuing to do for my baby Zee. She was in rough shape when we brought her here from UGA emergency room. The medication she was prescribed was extremely difficult to administer myself, so Mars Hills stepped in and helped me out with the medication. Nurse Jessica is amazing and both Zee and I love her. You would be foolish to go anywhere else for your veterinary needs. Thank you for all your help.

Update— We did the drop off suggestion one time and he stayed in a kennel for 7 hours waiting to be worked in and barked so long that his trachea was damaged.The shot is a 1 minute procedure, and they already have the ear med prescription that can be handed to me over the counter. I saw Dr Wellman left, so I guess this is their new MO for their Sr pets (15 Year old.)Our pup Max has been a patient here for 12 YEARS. Due to family emergency, he missed his allergy shot this month and has developed an ear infection. They can’t schedule him until Thursday for the quick (1 minute) shot and won’t refill the ear prescription that they have for him until seeing him.So sad of them to hold his meds for 4 days when he’s suffering… I guess this is the new practice since our favorite vet, Dr Wellman left in March.

Recently our dog Oscar stepped on something and cut one of his pads. Dr Wellman was very thorough and kind in treating him and she gave us confidence that he would be ok. I love the doctors and staff at Mars Hill. They have been our vets for 11 years and I look forward to many many more. They treat our furry friends like the family that they are.

Dr. Gross, has taken care of my dogs, and cats, for 38 years...yes, you read that correctly...38 years. I have Basenjis which I exhibited for almost 35 years, it was during that time that I started bringing my dogs to Dr. Gross. Over the years he, and his staff have treated my dogs and cats with the greatest of professionalism and compassion. My loyalty to Dr. Gross comes not just from a client/vet relationship but I had the pleasure of working with him when he was with the Monroe Vet Clinic back in the mid 80's. I worked in the front office and personally observed his interaction with his clients on a daily basis. Dr. Gross takes a personal interest in each of his patients and their owners. His staff reflects the standard of quality he holds himself to. Kind, courteous, caring, compassionate...they treat each client, and their pets, like family and do their best to make your, and your pet's, experience as pleasant as possible. Dr. Gross is also a highly skilled surgeon who, except on rare occasion, is the only vet to do any surgical procedure on my pets. I personally recommend Mars Hill Animal Hospital if you are looking for quality, and a veterinarian, and staff, who will go the extra mile to ensure the health and happiness of your pet. I would not make the 40 minute, one way, drive to take any of my pets, one of which has to go once each month, to Mars Hill Animal Hospital if I didn't.

My family is OVERWHELMED by the degree of COMPASSION and CONCERN given to us and our 16 year old cat, Lucy over the last week by the ENTIRE staff at Mars Hill! Our elderly cat took a strange turn for the worst the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving and was treated like a queen over the whole Thanksgiving week and weekend. Tiffany texted me updates throughout the week and Dr Wellman called me several times over the long weekend to update me on her treatment and response. Although she is not out of the woods, she is doing better and happy to be home. We greatly appreciate the staff helping us weigh options and difficult decisions without judgement. We are blessed to have had them as our vet for all our animals these last 7 years!

These folks are the best I've ever taken my pets. They were prompt, professional, and were gentle with my anxious dogs! They even listened to my concerns regarding their heartworm medicine and presented a solution that corrected the problem. We had an emergency with one of our small dogs the week we moved into town. I looked up the closest vet and was so glad we wound up at Mars Hill Animal Hospital. They took her right away and called just a few hours later with some possible answers. I picked her up with some prescriptions and she was good as new within 48 hours. The staff were compassionate, kind, professional, and even called to follow up the next day to make sure she was doing okay. Thank you so much!!!

I appreciate the kindness and warmth of everyone at Mars Hill! My 6 year old kitty had to have surgery to repair her ear and I wasn’t worried a bit thanks to the staff being so friendly. I’m from south Florida so the prices are also extremely reasonable comparatively. The entire office is spacious and clean. I’m happy to have this vet to care for my cats and would recommend to anyone.

Superior compassionate exceptional care was given to my two dogs while they had their Dentals completed by Dr.Gross and his staff! My dogs were Chihuahuas and I was worried to place them under anesthesia. I knew one of the technicians and she assured me they had the most up to date drugs and equipment available to safely anesthetize my girls. I was kept informed through out their procedures and was even sent photos of them waking up. I was very pleased with the loving care they received. The entire office staff is a pleasure and very professional. I highly recommend Mars Hill Animal Hospital.

I cannot say enough good things! We called our regular vet and they could not see my girl for two days. My daughter insisted that I call MHAH, and I am so thankful. They told us to immediately bring her! She was given a thorough exam, without unnecessary extras that would drive the bill higher. Our girl was given medication immediately that had her feeling better by that evening. The next day, they called to check on her! It may be a little bit of a drive, but we have found the place where my fur babies will go for care.

I was impressed by the care and empathy shown by all the staff members at Mars Hill animal hospital while waiting for my pet’s appointment. I was impressed even more with the care and compassion shown to me and my pet. My pet was not experiencing any problems, just in the office for her first annual checkup. Dr Veit answered all my questions and was very patient with me and my furry friend. Dr Veit made me feel like a family friend. I recommend this veterinary group to anyone in need of vet services.

We have been patients at Mars Hill for ten years. I would trust the entire staff with the life of any animal I brought to them . Dr Joey Gross is a very caring person who explains the treatment he’s giving in great detail. We had to say good by to a dear dog and the entire staff gave us the privacy, respect and sympathy that we needed at that time. As long as I live in this area Mars Hill Will be my dogs’ caregiver. I love the staff and the vets.

Staff and vets are very personable and willing to help you take better care of your pet. MHAH took my dog in immediately whereas our regular vets would not even see her despite her frightening symptoms (vomiting red blood) on a late Sat night.So, we now have a new vet, a great improvement over our prior vet. Vets and staff are very knowledgeable but they take time to listen to owners. They do not use a lot of medical jargon, shoot straight, and definitely know pet medicine. MHAH has a nice bright waiting area, attractive and comfortable seating, and clean exam rooms; no smelly PineSol or other cleaners that smell like a truck stop men's restroom.I highly recommend MHAH and caution others to check with your current vet to learn if and how your vet handles emergencies on a late Sat night.

My baby boy came back better than ever!!! The staff was super nice and welcoming, because he’s so loving they wanted to keep him and I’m sure his spoil meter is overflowing!! My daughter also brought her stuffed German shepherd (chocolate) in as well for a hurt paw and the LVT acted so swiftly and bandaged him right up! Healed him in less the 10 minutes, when e will continue to use Mars Hill!

Do not recommend!!And you don't see a record of me having any pets there, but my daughter did. In fact, I'm the one who dropped her "pet" off as well as the one who picked her "pet" up, 5 (five) hours later after your Vet refused to treat her..I just seen your response & had I seen it earlier, I most definitely would have responded promptly.Is it not a fact that your Office refuses treatment to animals that they, for whatever reason do not like?Why would your office keep a "pet" 5 (five) hours and then refuse services all while fabricating a made up story about a clients pet that clearly has been seen and vaccinated by your associates (Vet.) at your facility?Could you not have refused services at the time of admission, if something wasn't to your liking?Let me be clear, for every one person that is subjected to absolute poor customer service situations, for reasons such as what occured this specific day or for other reasons that are clearly not the fault of the client: that one client or clients will share that story with at least five people plus, who will in turn share that same story with other people, in which will cause a ripple effect in your sales dropping.Word of mouth is either a referral or a non recommendation. This will create either a rise or a fall with your reputation as a Vet Clinic. Also there's numerous social media platforms with millions of people searching for good & bad reviews.. And with this being said, I will repeat it firmly again so that it's CLEAR!I MOST DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND YOUR VET CLINIC AT ALL, AS THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED AND RESOLVED IN A MORE PROFESSIONAL MANNER!AND YES, IT HAS BEEN SHARED THROUGHOUT SEVERAL MEDIA OUTLETS AS WELL AS WITH NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS OF THIS AREA..HAVE A GREAT DAY!
