Update - I have got to give it up to Dr. Holladay and the crew for all the immediate and compassionate care they provided for my ailing old boy, Albert. He passed this past summer on his own from some complicated conditions. They were amazing at seeing us frequently to try to manage his diabetes and kidney failure. They (and Dr. Brown) were also so good at handling his asthmatic crisis and doing everything they could to stabilize him and hold us over until we could get his necessary medication from out of country. They truly do care.Dr. Brown and Courtney have done a wonderful, caring job with both of my dogs, Hannah and Harley Watson. My sweet soul dogs have since passed recently, but the care and compassion shown to myself and my dogs in their geriatric years has been exceptional. I have been an emotional wreck facing illnesses and having to make decisions that no one wants to make, but Dr. Brown has always been there to help guide me to always do what’s in my dogs’ best interest. We battled some tough situations and they were there every step of the way within reason. Eventually you come to where the road ends and they’re certainly there for you when that time comes also. It’s been hard these last few years, but I’ll do it over and over again with Dr. Brown. He’s really the best veterinarian and person in general. Same for Courtney. I truly appreciate them more than they know.

I brought my senior dog here for a second opinion from a previous vet and I can’t say enough great things about the experience. The building is beautiful, the staff was pleasant and welcoming from the beginning. Marena was oir tech and she was fantastic with my dog and got us back quickly and was very thorough with the initial questions. Dr. Reidlinger was our vet and she was amazing! She really explained everything to me and made everything so much better in making decisions regarding my dog. I feel so much relief coming here and am happy to take my baby back home and continue care. Thank you everyone at Pooler Veterinary Hospital!

My fur baby needed to visit the vet a few days ago. So we got an appointment at the local vet in Pooler. I have to say this is my very first time seeing the work a vet does. The vet was so informative and friendly. Talking to me about Duchess health and what her diet should be. I also got to see them give her shots. Like any other dog parent, it was kinda heart breaking. The team is so friendly and knew who we were when we walked through the door. It's handicap accessible inside and out. My fur baby and I will definitely be back again when it's time for a check-up or if anything happens, which I hope nothing does. Thank you to the team there that just loves animals. She likes to be under wheelchair, especially in new places, it's her safe place. She knows I'll keep her safe.

They aren’t here to help you they are here to charge you for literally just walking through the door. They are beyond overpriced and will charge you for things you didn’t even ask for. I do not recommend them at all. Spent more money in two non emergent trips here, than I did in an entire year at our old vet in Augusta. I understand inflation and I understand prices vary in different areas but this should be criminal.Wanted to note that after reading some of the other 1 star reviews it’s clear they don’t deserve the rating they have on Google. Their responses to the reviews are condescending and defensive and they don’t take responsibility for anything they do wrong. Can’t wait to read their response to my review, I’m sure they’ll have a nice story lined up to defend themselves. Something about “below national average” or we provide great service, or we base prices off our vendors, blah blah blah. One last thing, the meds they charged us $50 for, the vet not far from there charges $30.

We used to use this vet before moving to Richmond Hill, and they were perfectly functional vet office. Unfortunately our dog passed away this last week, no fault of this clinic of course. But I received a reminder in the mail from the clinic for her vaccines. Knowing that receiving constant reminders about her (the dogs) care would crush my wife, I called the clinic to inform them of her passing and request to be taken off the mailing list going forward. There was no way they could’ve known after it just happened. I didn’t get the name of the person who answered the phone, but they were EXCEEDINGLY condescending about why we still received mail. Didn’t take any of my information (only my wife has been to the clinic) and hurried me off the phone. This just felt like a punch in the gut after losing our dog, didn’t listen, didn’t care. Will refer friends elsewhere.

They are very understanding of my senior dog and gave him some great meds to help him. Understanding dementia in a dog as well as his mobility issues. He is always been a wonderful companion so we want to be there for him.

We have been bringing our 4 dogs here for 3 years and have always had a great experience. Everyone at this practice from the doctors to the front desk personnel go above and beyond to care for our babies. Last week we had to make the awful decision to put our 16 year old Bichon down. I was given an appointment that morning and when we arrived we were immediately put in an exam room that had blankets on the exam table 2 bottles of water and a box of tissues for us. Our baby was wrapped in a blanket thought out the entire procedure and i was able to hold her until she passed. When it was time for us to leave we were able to leave by a side door so we didn't have to walk thru the lobby. they thought of everything! I can't say enough about this practice they are the best veterinary practice we have ever been to.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - My cat has a chronic problem with no longer using the litterbox. A couple of symptoms are severe (bleeding), and I let them know this. I gave them every single detail I gathered, over a couple of months of observing this problem. I brought my cat there TWICE to try to get some improvement, only to receive the quickest, most NON-detailed diagnosis both times. None of their suggestions made even the slightest difference in my cat's condition. The first time I brought my cat, I didn't even get a vet that specialized in feline issues. The second time I brought my cat was on Monday Feb 26, 2024. They assigned me to a newly-hired vet. She was very nice, but literally EVERY SINGLE ISSUE I described she basically said was caused by "stress". I just received a call this morning asking how my cat was. I really let them have a piece of my mind. My cat is STILL bleeding, STILL vomiting copiously, and STILL not using the litterbox. I paid over $500 for tests that may OR MAY NOT have been done, only to hear that my cat is suffering from "stress". THIS PLACE IS A RIP-OFF AND THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN. AVOID.

I promise I cannot put into words how caring, compassionate and knowledgeable Dr. Brown is. Our Black Lab Dakota and Pitbull Bella are new patients here and they could not be happier! From the front desk that warmly welcomes you in, to the sweet and caring vet techs, and then our dog's new best friend, Dr brown, we are truly in awe! Dr. Brown has such a calming and peaceful sense to him, that he puts not only us as pet parents to ease, but he also puts our very nervous animals at ease. Our black lab that is normally a nervous wreck, was excited and licking Dr. Brown in the face, he is truly a pet whisperer. Dr. Brown takes all the time that you need to ask questions, he never once made us feel rushed and we so appreciate him for his caring nature. We want the highest quality pet care for our animals, and we are very willing to pay for it at this office. I cannot stress this enough, and I have experience to back it up, you get what you pay for!! Thank you for the beautiful state of the art veterinary office that you have created for pet parents who truly care about their animals health. Because of the compassion of the doctors and their staff, I am a lifelong customer of Pooler Veterinary Hospital. I would drive hours for the excellent care, but thankfully I am close to use them as my go-to vet. The facilities are pristine, and the staff greets my dogs with great elation. Everyone from the receptionists to the vet techs to the doctors listen carefully, take time to gently work with my dogs, and deliver exceptional care. To show even more professionalism, the staff follows up with a call to check on my dogs. Dr. Mike performed a surgery to correct a patellar luxation, and my dog recovered with no pain and in record time. I cannot thank this group enough for their work to keep my dogs healthy. Also, they often hold fundraisers for local shelters and related causes to further prove their devotion to animals. They are so welcomed in this community.

As someone with an anxious dog, I’m very particular about where I take my dog, Luna. Pooler Veterinary Hospital saw her for removing sutures from a spay procedure done at a clinic in Duluth. The techs were great at managing my dog’s anxiety and treated her like an angel! Will definitely be back here with my cats! Thanks to the veterinary and tech team for taking good care of my baby and being so kind to her!

Dr's. Mike and Myra Ammermon, along with their whole staff have been there for us for both of our fur babies. Pilot, our old hound dog, who dealt with a multitude of health issues his whole life, was always a favorite of all the staff. They always doted on him whenever he was there. We sadly lost him to cancer a few years back - one of the saddest days of mine and my husband life. We made the hard decision of putting him down when the cancer had spread to his spine, and he was obviously I'm pain. It was a Saturday, when they are normally closed. Not only was Dr. Mike there with us, and patiently let us spend as much time with him before the procedure, but several of the nurses/techs went to McDonald's and bought him a bunch of chicken and sausage biscuits for him. See, he had severe allergies his whole life, and was never able to enjoy things like that - it just shows how they all really care, and go above and beyond.They now take care of Pilot's "sister", Amelia (Earhart). Luckily, she doesn't have a lot of health issues, but she did have to have TPLO surgery on her knee a month ago. They have all been wonderful and patient with me - even though I have called a bazillion times, asking multiple questions to make sure I am doing all the right things.I know this is a long, (and very personal), review; but it is heartfelt and grateful.

Just switched vets after moving to Pooler a few years ago. My pet has an extensive history so it was a difficult decision to make. After our first visit today, I couldn't be any happier to have selected Pooler Vet. Customer service and attentiveness was exceptional. From check in to check out it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Myra really took her time with us to understand his history and offer suggestions going forward. Happy this will be our new home at a beautiful establishment!

The absolute best people ever. They stayed open late so I could get my dog in, he ended up needing a blood transfusion and stayed for three days. They saved his life and loved him fiercely doing so. Duke actually gets excited when we go for check ups and loves them as much as they love him. ❤

I called 3 vets before this one about bringing in dogs to be chipped that wandered into my yard the previous night. I decided to come to them solely based on how nice the front desk was when they answered. When i arrived she quickly came out to chip the pups, love on them, and i had all of my information in 5 minutes.Other places i called made it sound like i would have to be pulling teeth to get them to scan the dogs for me.

It's been about 3 years since we lived in the area. Lots of experience now with other veterinary clinics. No place is better than here!UPDATE: 9 years later. Fate brought us back to the area. It’s an even bigger and nicer building (more vets and staff) all just as great! They saw the beginning and the end of one our pups & we wouldn’t have had it any other way. They are amazing.

My pets have experienced excellent care here! Dr. Brown, Dr. Ammermon, and Dr. Hunt are all great communicators and I trust them with our 2 frenchies and 18 year old kitty. Dr. Brown has been SO great about answering my questions and has created (in detail) treatment plans regarding both of my dogs that have chronic GI issues. I am so appreciative of his personalized care and willingness to spend a lot of time with me on the phone. Dr. Ammermon took great care of our dog who needed extensive dental work and his communication was excellent that day!Great care, beautiful facility and wonderful communication!

I bring both my dogs here and have never had a single complaint! I've been both early and late and the staff has been so kind and accommodating every time. I've also had to make last minute appointments and they do everything possible to work you in and never make you feel like you're overworrying about your fur baby. Every appointment I've been to has been fast and efficient and they always take amazing care of my dogs. I can't comment on the price because in my opinion all Vet clinics are expensive but thats just a given!

Dr. Brown is an exceptional veterinarian with an excellent bedside manner. He treated my 15 year old Border Collie for the last 7 years of his life. His love for animals is demonstrated through the kind and compassionate care he provides. After my beautiful boy passed away I received a letter from The College of Veterinary Medicine informing me that a donation to the school was made in mydogs name. That was truly an amazing gift!
